I don't know if it's just me, but J.R./Larry Hagman had more energy in the latest episode. His movements just seemed more energetic and his voice sounded so much stronger he sounded like the old J.R. from the 80s. Anyone else notice, or was I just dreaming?

I hope he is ging to Mexico to bring back the "real" Marta (who is HOT!!) - Then he can blame the whole Del So scam on John Ross!
When's the Burning Man festival? Maybe JR is going there.

OMG Please don't give me heart failure!!!!!!!!!!!
I noticed that as well..I think its J.R. with more energy..Larry was playing him a bit slower on purpose the first few episodes..getting J.R. acclimated to the world again after 4 years.
we may see a bit of a decrease in energy during the last few episodes since that is when Larry wasu ndergoing treatment. But My guess is he will be his old self again for shooting season 2.
I'm sure they used him leaving on a helicopter for the following reasons:
1) For it's dramatic effect...It's cool! There were some really great scenes in the original Dallas that involved a helicopter.
2) I would guess that wherever he went, there is a reason for it's secrecy, and it will be revealed later? No idea, just a hunch.

Wasn't he sort of not in the ones immediately following his getting shot because of contract negotiations? The whole time J.R. was in like surgery or whatever and they used a double?
He was in the episode but on the surgery table it was a body double.

yes. J.R. was in every episode, but Larry was not.

I think you're on to something with #2. While others in Dallas are working/conspiring against JR, what's not to say he expected as much and is doing his own behind the scenes maneuvers. It may be his way of training John Ross and stretching him a bit, but perhaps he knows that he can't pull off a deal like he did with SF and not anticipate, and plan for, a significant backlash. BTW, so JR chose to use "Annie's" ex's tanker trucks to haul off 2000 barrels a day (worth about $200,000 a day). Would have thought he'd connect the dots (or maybe he has).

My under standing is that he was fighting cancer last fall when all 10 were shot (sorry) so it would make sense
Does anyone know what type of cancer he had?
A type of throat cancer

Wow I did not know he had cancer. On another note, how is it that some people have seen episode 6 and 7 already?

My understanding is it was some sort of media guide only given to very special people
No I didnt get one
