Characters who served no purpose in Dallas.

Jamie was garbage for sure. A lot of the later characters were complete garbage including people like Callie.

James Beaumont. I don't think there were any positives coming out of that character. Acting was poor, storylines were horrid.

Clayton at least once he married Ellie. I always saw him as the second husband to Sue Ellen, she could have used his money to get back at JR. He's on for a couple of seasons, has a heart attack and dies, leaves SE all his dough...

Jaime- Not so much the character, just the actress; terrible. She never felt like she was a roughneck from the oil fields. Every time JR insulted her, she would leave her mouth agape and burst into tears and her mouth would shrink up like some little girl mad at her Daddy. Dumb.

Dusty- brought out hte worst in SE.

Lucy after season 4. In the early years it was shown that JR had some control over her; they should have stayed with that, Lucy looked up to JR and acted just like him. After she got married she was worthless...

Whoever those sisters were in the later years...

Kit Mainwaring anybody? He's in and out in what 2 episodes, and right away after he admits he's gay. I'm also wondering if we actually needed to get to see and know Garry, or Garrison. I think especially Garrison's episode could've been done with the character being on screen. With Garry he should've been killed off in a car accident before episode 1.

Well I think we needed to see Gary because of Lucy and him being on Dallas introduced Knots Landing.

Kendall the Ewing Oil receptionist! She was useless given the tiny size of their offices and the secretaries being right on the other side of the door!

yes leslie stewart was pretty useless but let's be fair there were more useless characters than her! i agree "Kit" was pretty useless they just wanted to have Lucy go to drugs i think. Jimmy is another. Pam's cousin wasn't he? did only 2 episodes of the show,

Peeeeeeeeeeeeeduuuuuuuuuuurrrrrrrr only cause he was annoying & useless as an old fart. Dusty i don't mind but i didn't think they really needed to keep bringing him back. though i have yet to see the whole series i do agree they did put a LOT of useless characters on the show

Peter. It was ridiculous that Sue Ellen would fool around with a kid half her age, and that whole storyline about John Ross needing a camp counselor? The child never showed any signs that he was in such an emotional state. The storyline was useless and Peter was useless.

I still cringe during the Peter Richards scenes. It just didn't work having him there.

I think people are confusing characters they didnt like with characters who served no purpose.

I disagree. I have always loved this storyline. I would have loved to have seen Peter come back in disguise years later and fool everyone! Bawahahhahahahaha!
