I recall when the first seven seasons were sold in syndication to a local station where I lived, they tried to preserve those bumpers and air their commercials around them (probably as a timing device for the commercials), but at some point the season one bumper was used in ALL seasons, which looked odd later on. When TNT aired the show, they tried to produce their own bumpers but they were not as good. These are in great shape---keep up the good work.

Yes, when Knots was first packaged by Lorimar (the first 160 episodes) in first run syndication back in the 80s, they preserved all the bumpers. Some of the music cues for this project I have restored from old VHS recordings from these syndication runs shown locally in DFW on WFAA Channel 8 in the late 80s. All of these episodes had the "Lorimar Presents" logo followed by a narrator saying "In Knots Landing..." and he would do a narrated recap of the prior episodes set to the Knots theme. Incidentally, all of these versions of Knots all contained the "Next on Knots Landing" teaser at the end of each episode, which is missing from many of the episodes today seen on cable syndication and now the DVDs.

They look and sound great.
We didn't get the bumpers in the UK, as it first aired on a commercial-free channel (happy times!), and later repeated on a channel that used a still image as the show's ident.
My first experience of the bumpers was when I got the UK version of the Season One dvd. On the dvd, a bumper (possibly the Season 2 variant) was used where the main titles would normally be for part 2 of Bottom Of The Bottle.
I hope you continue with these Knots0709. I'm loving them.

I wish I could get a a nice clean photo of the cul-de-sac without the Knots logo over it... anyone able to help me with that? The bigger/better quality the better.

I just love these new little treasures and want to say I'm a huge fan of all your videos - especially the Dallas openings.
Keep up the good work
