New Dallas Cast On Piers Morgan

Did you see it last night? Piers Morgan had Larry, Patrick, and Linda on and interviewed them, and then the actors playing John Ross, Christopher, and their girlfriend joined them and Piers Morgan interviewed all six of them. It was good. Patrick said he didn't think anybody would even know how to make a Dallas continuation until he read Cidre's script and saw that she had it; she knew how it had to be done. Morgan asked Larry what he said when they called and offered him the role. He said first he asked: are my friends going to be there? They said yes and he said after that he read the script and didn't have to think about it long, only until they told him what they'd be paying him. Morgan asked how much and Hagman said "It doesn't matter; I already spent it anyway." The new kids came out and Morgan asked if Larry, Linda, and Patrick had big egos and were difficult to work with and they said not at all, and that they were very generous and easy to work with. The kids said they like to refer to them as "The big three." Larry and Patrick predict this series will last 13 years, just like the original.

I just watched this a few minutes ago, I Sky plus'd it. I really felt a little sorry for the young ones, they looked like rabbits caught in headlights. That's to be expected and quite endearing (sorry to be patronising). Larry, Linda and Patrick shone as usual, they just seem so thrilled. It's funny being an actor, if I were them I would want to put my feet up.

It was on CNN at 9PM, midnight, and 3 AM this morning Eastern Time. Sometimes they replay them on Saturday or Sunday nights, at those same times I believe. Morgan makes a new show Monday thru Friday, and then on Saturday they replay one of those 5, and on Sunday they play another of the week's 5 episodes.

Too bad I didn't check our local tv listings a bit earlier.We have CNN on our cable and they just broadcast that two hours ago!

Also gotta love how Jordana said she was a fan of the original Dallas. She's born the same year as I am so yes it's possible to be a fan when your that age!

I thought it was strange that Piers took her to task for saying that. It was as if he thought she said it just to please the original cast or something. I was born 3 years after Jordana, and I'm a huge fan of the show. Maybe somebody should tell Piers that the show was rerun from the late 90s to the late 2000s, which is why it's possible to be a fan of the show at our age.
