Visiting Falcon Crest - is it possible?
Hoping someone can help me.. I will be visiting San Francisco in a few weeks and am wondering if it is possible to visit the Falcon Crest mansion in the Napa Valley? I have a feeling the answer is 'No' but I'll at least visit the valley and see the sweeping landscapes!

Moe you cannot go into the winery or around the mansion. You can still view them from the surrounding roads and also the lake (as in the opening credits). Do have a enjoyable time and take plenty of snaps.

Thank you for the tips Arlene.. it'll be nice to see the mansion even from a distance.

But you could visit "Angelas Postbox" (2805) which is actually at the road and very small...
Watch it on Google Earth, make a visit spot with the following coordinates:
width: 38°30'25.37"N
length: 122°29'30.95"W

I'm assuming you know it's The Spring Mountain Vineyards. They used to produce a Falcon Crest brand of wine; not sure if they still do...

The information in the previous posts is completely dated.
Of course, you can visit Spring Mountain again nowadays. All you have to do is to make a reservation for a winery tour in advance, and you will be even poured wine for the tasting in the dining room in the Victorian Mansion (or Villa Miravalle, as it is called in real life). Go to http://www.springmountainvineyard.com/ and check out the "Tasting" section for more information.

The mansion, vineyards and the scenery look just as lavish as they were, back in the eighties. It really is some place and on par with Southfork, if not exceeding the DALLAS location, in the setting stakes.
Roland Saunders’ dead body has been found in the winery and Fred Wilkinson is on the case. Everybody is being questioned, with Angela and Richard each blaming the other, (a scene from season 6, 1986 – ‘87):
Fred: “Was there anybody there that didn’t belong?”
Angela: “Well, I didn’t invite Richard Channing.”
After a while Fred asks Richard why he was there, when he wasn’t invited.
Richard: “Well, Angela and I never stood on ceremony.”

TJP is right!
I visited Spring Mountain/Falcon Crest several times in the past years.
Just with an appointment. No problem.

Moe had you good time, seeing Falcon Crest?

No I didn't get to see it.. Only got as far as the Sonoma Valley and even that was a bit disappointing as we stopped in the town rather than in the sweeping vineyards.. Hopefully another time..

Yeah disappointing. Shame.
