Jason's ghost

A possible addition to season 1 would have been Jason's ghost. This would have made little Emma more unstable. Maybe the ghost could have appeared in the winery and the vineyards, where he was before his accidental death. Could have been even more darker, than what the 1st season actually was.

Had this been the case Angela’s youngest would definitely have been to hell and back, even more than she was. Emma spoke of Jason dying more than once; such was the state of her mind and the family’s interpretation of care. Nonetheless a ghost would have been a bonus.


Chase has just returned from piloting another flight and goes to his house in New York. Maggie, Vicki and Cole are there, to break the bad news, about Jason, (a scene from the 1st episode, 1981-‘82):

Chase: “Hey…what is all this? I feel like Neil Armstrong, home from the moon, a Neil Welcoming Committee.”

Chase sees the look on Maggie’s face and says, “It’s not a welcoming committee. What’s going on?”

Maggie: “Your aunt from California just called.”

Chase: “Angela. What did she have to say?”

Maggie: “It was an accident……earlier this evening. I guess!”

Chase: “What happened?”

Maggie: “Your fathers’ dead!”

Chase just can’t believe it and his facial expression shows it.

Cole: “Dad, I’m sorry!”

Vicki: “Me too, Daddy!”

Maggie hugs Chase to console him.

Chase: “What happened?”

Maggie: “It was an accident! His truck……..”

Maggie looks over to the children and states, “Why don’t you guys go to bed? We’ll talk in the morning. Okay?”

Vicki: “It won’t be the same.”

Maggie: “It’s okay!”

A ghost of Jason, great. Super natural in FC season 1 would be an extra gothic detail and yes I would have enjoyed this.

Yeah Jason haunting Falcon Crest and the winery would have been interesting. He wouldn’t have appeared originally to Angela or the others but only to Emma. In the final 1st season episode Angela sees his ghost. Fr. Bob is called to banish the spirit and then the Angela vs Chase fight gets tough.

Melissa is considering separating from Lance. Angela’s rival leaves the Victorian mansion and returns to the Agretti mansion. Falcon Crest 1984:

Angela says sarcastically: “It won’t be the same without you.”
Melissa: “Oh, I be available for family gatherings: funerals, shootings, divorces and of course the reading of wills!”

I could see Jason's ghost working in season 1. Poor poor Emma!
