    Hi Stimpy, no offense taken.

It's been about 3-4 years since I last saw the earlier Seasons.

Yes, Victoria Principal is a little hottie. I think Linda Gray floats my boat more, though.

I've all The Seasons on DVD.

You have good taste, though I still prefer VP in the show!

how long did it take you to watch it? hell i can only watch a certain number before i need to take a break from the show. when i watch a show all the way through on dvd i mean. though "Linda Gray" actually looks better now than she did when "Dallas' 1st started i will admit that. i guess we each have our own taste in women. he he. though "VP" these days hasn't aged well. in some pics she still looks good & in others she looks terrible. i have no idea if she's had work done or not. i see you joined about around the same time i did Southfork.

ya know funny thing, i still have yet to see the entire show all the way through. when soapnet aired it. i watched it all the way through
the season PD left. & lost track on what went on. in short i burned out on the show. that i just haven't gotten around to watching it further than that since.

Well, I've watched the whole Seasons 1-14 about three or four times over the years. Right now, I'm just glancing over the first and last Episodes of each Season and a few odd Episodes in-between to refresh my memory for the upcoming New Season.

Oh, there's still some good stuff (at least to me) in Seasons 9-14, you should watch them, I was addicted to "Dallas" even in the later years and looked forward to Seasons 13 and 14.

    SPOILERS

I quite enjoyed Margaret Michaels in Seasons 12 and 13 and I think with a little time would have been a fine Pam. She looked enough like Victoria Principal to be Pam, but different enough to have been Pam after the car explosion at the end of Season 10 and post-plastic surgery in Season 11.

    Watching The Season 7 Finale,

Jenna was a right bitch to Pam in The Southfork living room, she could be so horrible, and what makes her even more unliveable is that she KNEW she was being cruel. What a cow!

    Just finished Season 9, now.

I kinda liked Donna Reed, it was unusual seeing her Episodes as Miss Ellie again, I'd forgotten just quite his different she was. Much more glamourous and very delicate-like, she really did play the role differently, but I'm not sure she was bad, just different, putting her own take on the character. I'd probably have felt differently about her if she had been Miss Ellie for Seasons 9 and 10, but since it was just for Season 8, not even a full Season, I'm fine with her. I know some of you hated her, but in all respect, Donna Reed was a fine actress and definitely deserved better treatment and respect that what she got, both from the shows production team and from the fans aswell.

Bobby really shouldn't have been killed-off, I know Patrick Duffy wanted to leave and do other things (were some TV Movies and some bad, cheesey Europop songs what he had in mind? I think that's when those bad songs with Miri Whatsherface were released), but why not just write Bobby out by having him move away or something? This is what should be done with any character here the actor/actress wants to leave the show, not matter how much. Pam shouldn't have been written-out the way she was, the same fir April, too.

Shoulders (Mark Graison) has come back, 'tache and all. Pam and Jenna are actually friends (which I like), the person who I feel most sorry for is Miss Ellie. She's lost her Son, next to Gary, I'd say Bobby was the second one she loved the most. Barbara Bel Geddes and Victoria Principal have really what fine actresses they both can be during Season 9, especially Victoria Principal in The Season 9 Premiere. Speaking of Victoria Principal, you can really notice a change in her face by the end of Season 9. Her face seems tighter-looking and her lips look different.

Pam has also just woken-up: ending Pam and Jenna's friendship, ending J.R. and Sue Ellen's reconciliation and above all, ending some actually decent storylines that "Dallas" has had in a while. The whole Season-long storyline of Ray and Donna with her losing their unborn child with Down Syndrome, then adopting a child with a disability, this brought some truly fantastic first-rate acting from Steve Kanaly and Susan Howard and it was all wiped from the shows canon. I can understand why Susan Howard was disappointed.

Question: Was something supposed to have happened to Clayton before Pam woke up? Miss Ellie was looking for him, he'd gone missing and Ben Stivers was hanging about a lot. Hmm...

I hate how when Pam wakes-up that the mysterious blonde woman pissed about Jenna marrying Bobby just disappears, so does Dusty, he turned-up and then mysteriously vanished, too! Someone didn't do their homework prior to writing the beginning of Season 10.

I have been watching them too
I especially enjoyed the miniseries- kind of like Genesis
Although I must say "Winds of Change" was a bit bizarre
Hurricane in Dallas? Not calling the cops ?
Its good that episode 5 Barbeque was so strong because I cant see how ep 4 didnt kill the show
Linda in the bathing suit may have done it
I always thought the first Gary was miscast Not a bad actor Just didnt fit
I was always a VP man when I was younger but have become more of a Linda fan
Probably because she has aged better

Oh, yes, Sue Ellen singing "People" was cringe-worthy, maybe if she hadn't been bawling at the time it would've been better.

Nichola Pearce and his mullet has arrived and Pam has been barbecued and is under wraps. Charlie has gotten very tall and Shalane McCall was turning into quite a beautiful woman.

I must say, I'm enjoying my "Dallas" re-watch. I finished Season 13 last night with the two-parter Season Finale "Three, Three, Three" Parts 1 and 2. Part 1 was a little boring to start, but I thought Part 2 really picked-up. I skipped over Margaret Michaels Jeanne O'Brien Episodes as I just wanted to start Season 14, but now I think I should've re-watched them as I quite enjoyed that story arc and thought Margaret Michaels was a fine actress and would've been a fine replacement Pam Ewing.

J.R. in the nuthouse was perfect irony, considering what he did to Sue Ellen at the end of Season 2. It's a shame Linda Gray never made one appearance during Season 13, moving Sue Ellen out of Dallas itself was a big mistake. Even though Sue Ellen wasn't in Dallas or married to a Ewing, they still should have kept her on the show with her own storylines and adventures.

I liked how Sue Ellen and Cally got along, and how they plotted against J.R., that was fun to watch. Season 13's two-parter Premiere was pretty good to me. I know a lot of you may have hated it, but Miss Ellie, Clayton, Lucy and Bobby all appeared in it and it wasn't half bad. I still like the later years of the show and think it's still very watchable.

Now onto Season 14, "April In Paris" was good, with Susan Lucci being a good villainess and showing she can be a very good actress on a Primetime Drama. I still don't like it that April was kidnapped and eventually killed-off. Killing-off April was a big mistake and especially so early on in The Season. They should have just let Sheree J. Wilson leave if she wanted to spend time with her baby and maybe have April go and spend time with her Mother, but not kill the character off. I really liked April and wanted her to stay on the show. It was weird with just Michelle, they needed both of The Stevens Sisters.

Cally with J.R. asking for a Divorce was a well-acted scene by the lovely Cathy Podewell. It was sad seeing Cally say goodbye to J.R., considering she had so much hope for their Marriage and I think she truly loved J.R.

Yes, this is VERY true. Leonard Katzman was very old skool and felt all the women on the show should have been like Ms. Ellie -- submissive to the men in their lives, content to spend their time at home, and staying out of the business world altogether. In interviews with both Linda Gray and Victoria Principle, it was mentioned that Katzman was relunctant to let the female characters evolove.

This was especially true with the character of Pam ... after the "dream season" she went back to being an insecure basket case always worried about Bobby's acceptane. I could see why she made her exit and the end of the next season when her contract expired.

1stly FINALLY this is the 1st time in 2 days that i've been able to access the site! did anyone else have this problem or just me?

anyways, "Winds of Change' isn't it called? is i think the worst episode of the as i call it 1st season. going by the dvd releases. it's just easier for me to put that way that's all. so "Katzman" wanted the woman to stay at home? that's messed up. as Pam put it once you get up eat breakfast there's nothing else to do. & she's right this was years before the internet & lord knows what else. even so it can i'm sure get boring either way. i wonder why he started the character of Pam into such a strong character & than later on turns her to well shit.

Hi Everyone. I hope you'll welcome me to your online Southfork even though I use the name Clayton Farlow... I'm more of a Jock fan myself but it was taken.

Anyway, I've bought seasons 1&2 on amazon prime for instant viewing but am looking for a more affordable way to watch these online. Do any of you have suggestions as to where I can find the seasons free or at a low price? They are no longer on Netflix. I can't find them on Hulu Plus or Vudu...

    Any assistance would be appreciated.

Hi, and a BIG Welcome to you!

It might be better to buy the boxsets on Amazon or eBay. They usually can be found cheap on those sites and you can watch The DVD's on your computer.

    Anyway, enjoy and welcome!
