Oh NOOOOO!!!!!! I have duplicate dvds of the second last disc of season 10 and seem to be missing the last disc of season 10. I cant move to season 11. It ends with Abby sacking Paige and Greg watching from his office. Then goes to season 11 but the recap has things I havent seen. I'm going to have a breakdown waiting for the missing dvd to come from the State! Tearing out my hair already! It was just getting kinda good!

I always test each disc I receive as soon as I get it in case of errors, wrong content, disc faults, sound faults, freezing problems....
Laura: That guy came here last night and told you your father is dying. Now, no matter how much you hate him, he is your father and he is dying.
Sumner: And not a moment too soon.
Laura: You know, I almost feel sorry for the old man.
    Sumner: You didn't know him.
Laura: All he wanted was for you to love him. Is that so terrible?
    Sumner: Yes.

It's all good the person I got them from has been very helpful and is going to send me the missing disc. I will just make do with watching the specials untill I get it. I would never have the time to check each disc, especially not with a show like Knots Landing where there are so many.

It all seemed to be getting kind of good again too. I was liking what was happening with Danny. I know he's a bad guy but still it looks like it might be good drama. And I was excited thinking about how Abby will exit the show.

I am tempted to watch the mini-series while I wait for the last episodes of season 10. Would that be a bad idea? Or will it ruin all the plots of seasons 11-14?

Don't watch the mini-series yet. You will get confused and it is best you wait!

So you probably know by now that the mini-series didn't spoil the plotlines of seasons 11-14. The mini had its hands full ruining its OWN plots to ruin past ones.

I've watched the series twice, (though I admit forwarding some of the stories) and only once have I watched BTTCDS. I was tempted to go back in and watch that it but when CBS starting the rerun I decided to wait it out.

Well last night I was so in need of a Knots fix I watched the first part of the mini-series. It was either that or jump to season 11 which I just didn't want to do. So I have only seen the first part of the mini-series. I am not sure what to think of it. I keep comparing the Knots Landing Mini-series to the DYNASTY one. Which I know I shouldn't do at all. But I am surprised how in character in a believeable way they all are. Especially because before I watched it I watched the ET Tonight special where they all said they didn't want to do it. It was so strange to see Diana in Val's livingroom. It was also weird that I didn't instantly want to smack Diana around the head with a blunt object. Could moving to New York away from her mother be the best thing that ever happened to her? I think so, she seems quite nice and not a shrill screachy annoying daughter of an annoying woman.

Everyone looks sooooo much older. It's quite scary really but thats how life goes. I like that they didn't screw up the sets too much. They fit with Knots Landing and what you remember. I couldn't help but think of Sunset Boulevard when I saw how the first part ended. With Val pushing that writer and storming out. Then cutting to the writer dead, floating face down in the pool in LA. It is part Sunset Boulevard, part Val pushing CiJi and its all a little bit Dallas if you ask me. Especially Val's movie thing. Its so Sue Ellen doing the Dallas movie.

As I have still to see 4 seasons I have no idea who a few of the people are. I won't go on about that though... My fault for spoiling it for myself.

What about Gary and Valene, Valene returning, Abby being back, Greg and Paige, Greg and Meg, Gary and Kate, Gary living on the cul-de-sac and his wealth reduction....?

...and that Karen and Mack plotline in season 14 (Karen and Mack plotlines becoming insufferable due to the knowledge that they sadly both continue to live), Valene's death....and any plotline involving any principal cast member in peril who later appears in Back To The Cul-De-Sac?

Mine doesn't. I keep having to prove that I'm at least 18. Even when looking after grandchildren. Talking of 18, wasn't that 18 years since the show started?

I am quite enjoying Back To The Cul de sac. I don't think its all that bad except that is so condensed. The stories could have been streched to a full season though. Its like they compressed a full season into a few episodes. I think the acting is pretty darn good. I find it very watchable.

I just finished the mini-series. I have to say I quite enjoyed it. It doesn't screw anything up which was a plus. Well except for Laura's voice, that was annoying as it was something quite important to a lot of fans. But I guess that was Constance's doing and not the writers fault. Would have been better of course with Laura's voice and if Meg had red hair. It was good enough for what it was. Like a nice little weird dream.

She was. The scary incarnation of Meg was. Her half-aunt Claudia refers to it in season 12. She notches up her first killing soon....Meg not Claudia....Claudia causes deaths more indirectly.....

I thought that was quite odd. As an old viewer, Meg's hair was always a reminder of Laura. To have the idea of a recessive gene from the Sumner family brought into it was unnecessary and annoying.

Well ya could say that Kenny destroyed Kenny and Ginger's marriage or at least started hacking away at it a good deal earlier.
