    Default Homeland

Anyone else currently enjoying this superb US drama being aired in the UK on channel 5?It boasts a top notch cast: Damian Lewis, Claire Danes, Mandy Patinkin and is very exciting and gripping. Im up to ep 5 so please no spoilers from anybody who has seen the whole season. I think it is up there with Mad Men as the best thing on tv right now

Started watching this at the weekend, we're 4 episodes in and it's moving pretty quickly, although I still haven't figured out whether Kerry is on to something with Brody, or if she's just becoming obsessed with him...

I'm starting this tonight. Hoping for much excitingness though Claire Danes just being back on my TV is enough.

Claire Danes is absolutely fantastic in this. Damian Lewis too.Ive just finished watching ep 6. It was brilliant, the last 10 mins particularly had me on the edge of my seat and I cant wait to see what happens nextId love to go into more detail but dont want to spoil it for anybody. But I seriously love this show.I just realised I erroneously said this was on ch 5 in my first post. Sorry about that. It on ch 4.

I just rewatched ep 6 "The Good Soldier" and I still think its pretty incredible. This show is amazing anyway, but when they put Danes and Lewis on screen together........just WOW!!!!!

This series is just so so good. Well written, well acted, full of twists and turns, and just completely gripping. This is the most addictive show on tv currently. Honestly.

If I thought awards had any meaning Id want Homeland, Danes, Lewis and Patinkin to be showered with them

Didn't expect Carrie to sleep with Brodie when she is investigating him.

I thought that was obvious, especially the way Carrie had been watching his every move. It's like she became so obsessed by him that it was going to progress to the next level.

I love how unpredictable Brody is, I still can't work out which way this character is going.

Yes Brody is fascinating and really allows damian lewis to display his versatility as an actor. Also theres something a little Steve McQueenish about him.

Carrie is also a great character, flawed, fragile but brave and brilliant. Am also loving Patinkins mercurial Saul.

As much as Im still not sure whether or not to fully trust Brody, Im still not 100%on Saul either

At least now we know Brody isn't a terrorist, well at least he gave a good explanation to Carrie's questions. And now it seems like the other guy who was a prisoner with him is the terrorist.

I have seen all 12 episodes of this and I have to say it is one of the best things I have seen on TV in years. It really is amazing. My only problem is that I find the Dana character a bit annoying but I supopose she serves a purpose. I can't wait for next season.

Homeland was one of the best shows of the season.
Brown for first course, white for pudding. Brown is savoury, white's the treat. Of course I'm the one who's laughing, because I actually love brown toast

I've only just noticed this thread. I found season one of Homeland excellent, I hope season two can match it.

I think it had everything you could possibly want in a drama; a strong and gripping central plot, interesting sub-plots, great characters and character based drama, excellent acting, writing and production values, thrilling twists and turns to keep you guessing, exciting cliffhangers

I heard president Obhama was a fan of the show and has invited Damian Lewis to the white house.

Only two more episodes to go now......Im excited to see how it all pans out but sad that its coming to and end. Ive LOVED every minute so far.

And now Im going to throw in a gratuitous boast that I was lucky enough to see Damian Lewis on stage with Kiera Knightley in The Misanthrope.

He and Claire Danes are just all kinds of excellent

I was totally surprised that Brodie has agreed to be a suicide bomber, hopefully Carie will be able to stop him in time.
