    Default Point pleasant.

I just bought the only season of this show. I loved it when it was on a few years back and was sorry it got cancelled. I have never saw the entire season and it says on the box there are 5 unaired episodes. Though I think it was only in the states that they were unaired, I think the show finished its run here in the uk.
I loved the show, its produced by the Buffy people I believe. I never watched Buffy but I know it had more than a cult following. I liked POINT PLEASANT because it reminded me of films like The Omen, Rosemary's Baby and the like. It wasn't tacky supernnatural ala Charmed, either.

Anyways can't wait to watch it. It stars ubber hot Grant Show from MELROSE PLACE TOO.
    Anyone else remember this show?

Pilot done... Glad I bought this. The eye candy mucho and it's quite spooky. It's basically the plot of "TO THE DEVIL A DAUGHTER" minus the horrble bloody glove puppet and very cheap budget. Creepiness a pleanty.

Glad you are enjoying Point Pleasant Alexis. In the UK channel 4 only showed episodes 1 to 8 which left episodes 9 to 13 unaired that is why it says on the box there are 5 unaired episodes.

Point Pleasant was a good show as the season went on you just had to see the next episode since you wanted to know more and what and ending to the series shame it got cancelled they should have let it have more seasons would love to have seen the show get a ending.

Im going to watch a few more episodes tonight. And now that I have this I have rememberd about American Gothic. I am going to buy that soon too, another creepy show I remember from when I was in my teens that scared the hell out of me. More sinister and less soapy than Point Pleasant.

Just finished episode 2. It's not the kind of show that takes a lot of time establishing itself. It all moves very fast. That may have been one of its problems. I enjoyed the 2 episodes well except for the introduction of the young preist. He is too young and too daytime soap good looking. He is not very preist like. Hes more 90210.
I am enjoying the older cast members more. Their acting is better and the writing for them is more layerd and slow moving. As opposed to the very quickly moving main storyline about Christina. It is half brilliant and half not so brilliant. Strange.
Though yes, it is very addictive and you do want to watch the next episode straight after one finishes. So on I go to episode 3.

I can remember watching Point Pleasant and really enjoying it. I don't think I saw all the episodes though. I liked a lot of the cast. A bunch of the cast came from American soap operas. It's available on Amazon for a decent price. I think I am going to have to purchase it.

Yea its pretty good, a little teen soapy but I can deal with that. Carl, Susans husband from Desperate Housewives is in it, and the guy who played Rex's son a few seasons ago. Its a pretty good looking male cast. And the girl playing Christina the main character is very good I think.

Its worth a watch Jason. I watched for episodes already.

I'm going to get it. I like Sam Page and I really love Susan Walters. I also really like Elisabeth Harnois, who plays Christina. She's been in a couple of things that I've really enjoyed her in. And as you pointed out, Grant Show is super hot in it. I'm a big fan of teen soap stuff, so I am sure it is right up my alley.

Yea you will enjoy it then. I like Elisabeth Harnois too though I have never saw her in anything else really. I like teen soap done well. I loved The O.C but never got into One Tree Hill. Though I saw some of the later episodes of that and thought it was actually better than The O.C. A friend at the time used to tell me I was watching the wrong show. I think she may have been right. But I was pretty loyal to The O.C back then. At leat One Tree Hill is there for me to discover on dvd.

The really hot guy from Mad Men has been in two episodes of Point Pleasant too, Jon Hamm thats his name. And I believe Marti Noxon the producer of POINT PLEASANT went on to produce Mad Men after it was cancelled. Creating a lead role for him.
It's a good show with a few tweaks it could have been perfect.

One Tree Hill is probably my favorite show ever after Knots Landing, but I liked OC too.

I didn't realize the Mad Men connections between the two shows, but now that you mention it, Sam Page who plays Jesse on P.P. was on Mad Men for a couple of seasons.

I finished the first disc. There are only 8 more episodes now so I'm going to pace my watching of it out. While watching I have been awe struck by how perfectly pretty Sam Page is. He is stunning! The girl who plays Paula was in another guilty pleasure of mine "Harpers Island". Which also only ran one season. I might buy that too as I see its out on dvd. That had some great deaths in it . A soap about a serial killer! Fantastic.

I recently finished this off. I have to say that it wasn't as good as it could have been. It wasn't scary or spooky enough and about half way through they decided to make it comedy kooky. Which I don't feel works in a tv show about the daughter of Satan. I hated how every one keeps saying "your father" to her as if he was just your average Joe. He was the devil! The horned beast! It's rediculously creepy and perfect grounds to make a totally credible creepy gothic show and it turns out as a mix between 90210, Buffy and Charmed. Not even the good parts of those either . I was let down. But I did really like the first few episodes.

I remember FOX pairng the show with THE OC (in the States). They spent a ton on print and TV ads, but the ratings never held up. The show seemed too dark for me, never watched it.
