The Voice UK
Starts March 24th.
I really don't like the X Factor so I'm hoping I will get some enjoyment from The Voice.
The panel of coaches are Jessie J, Will.I.Am, Sir Tom Jones and Danny O'Donoghue.
Y'all have some big names on the show.
Hope it goes well in the U.K.
I'm not particularly impressed by the trailer for this show and what are those ridiculous seats the judges (sorry, I mean coaches) sitting on all about?
It looks like a poor man's X Factor to me.
Apparently, it's being scheduled to clash with Britain's Got Talent on ITV.
I think I'll be sticking with BGT.

I don't like the look of it although I might give the first show a look.

I'm not particularly taken by the judging line up either to be honest and I believe that audience interaction is to be kept to a minimum. Apparently, studio crowds have been told by the warm up man that they can only cheer but not boo the acts.
As is so often the case, it looks as though the BBC have taken a winning format from the States only to do their own distinctive version of it.
I love the American version of The Voice. It's much better than American Idol in my opinion. I get bored with AI early on and usually don't finish a season. The Voice has held my interest week after week. It helps that it is only on once a week because that means there's less filler and time wasting. From that clip you posted, Ome it looks as though they are following the American version--at least in the beginning of the season with the blind auditions. We've just finished the blind auditions and are starting the battle rounds.
I think you will enjoy the show. It's a fun concept.
I'll be avoiding it like the plague, as I do with all other rigged "talent" shows.
