Oh, I think Nicollette and Victoria are totally different. And if they're dislikable, it's for different reasons.
Besides, that's like asking do I dislike Larry Hagman and Alec Baldwin because they're the same type of man. Except no one would ask me that, because they're dudes, so it's assumed I'd dislike them for different reasons unrelated to their gender.
And I can easily watch all of them. Except maybe for Nicollette.

Well, the battery claim's been dropped. The wrongful termination suit is still proceeding, apparently. http://www.vulture.com/2012/03/marc-...n.html?mid=rss

They've declared a mistrial! They jury was stuck 8-4 in Sheridan's favor. I'm surprised the defense doesn't just settle.

I am surprised. Frankly I thought Nicollette's claim was almost impossible to prove. The actual evidence is minimal. I thought she would lose.
My gut instinct is that she was fired in retribution for daring to complain. I also suspect that the producers resented a character designed to be a supporting one became a fan favorite and that she walked off with every scene she was in.

Or because she was a cow.

Can someone find a link to this?

Well it seems that most of the jury prefared cow to over ripe fruit... Like Cherry.

Regardless of the case's outcome, Sheridan's career in Hollywood is almost certainly over. She hasn't worked for two years and lacks agency representation. Her lawyer conceded that doors are now closed to her for further work.

A shame if true.

She was paid for the duration of the season? That to me says her characters death was unplanned! And just an insult from Cherry. And after her character died she still had to turn up every day for work till the season ended, even though she was only used once after. How bitchy!
Cherry needs to be spit roasted in hell for all eternity with an apple in his mouth!

But the cow is more likely to kill you in the long run. And ruin the environment.
At worst, a fruit just drops on your head.

Donīt worry: in two decadesī time, we all will be here making questions to Nicollette, then a millionaire thanks to selling "cherry essence" parfum with the "Desperate" name. And she will say: "I didnīt want my career become Edie, so I left". And we all will agree to that, and laugh out loudly because somewhere in our memory we will know that she is making it all up!!

From The Guardian article....
To kill off a major character during the run of a successful series was highly unusual, witnesses for Sheridan testified, and especially so since the actress had been paid $175,000 an episode for the duration of the season.
The removal of Sheridan's character Edie from Wisteria Lane, witnesses said, amounted to malice – a claim they said was supported by the exaggerated manner of Edie's demise involving strangulation, a car crash and, ultimately, electrocution by a downed powerline.
Sheridan called an expert to testify that her character's death was "virtually unprecedented" in network television. After her dismissal she was still required to turn up for work under the terms of her contract but only appeared once more – as a ghost.
I'm thinking..... McCashin might disagree with this.

Gosh, poor Edie! Still, she didn't end up like Peter Campbell (Robert Urich) on Soap: he was shot, stabbed, suffocated, strangled and bludgeoned by Chester Tate. Maybe if Marc Cherry had blamed it all on a brain tumor, like Chester did?
I'm hoping they will just settle it out of court. It would be even better if a part of the settlement includes a gag order on both of them.

Oh no... LOL I want all the juicy details... I want this to go on for years.

LOL I want this to go on forever as well. If Cherry and ABC are smart they'll just settle. If this goes to court again, chances are with all the revelations in Sheridan's favor, she'll for sure win. Then they'll end up paying her more than she'd probably settle for.
