Re-watching Season 1: Stephanie Beacham is really the strongest cast member.

I'm watching Episode 19, there's this scene about 10-15 mins. in where Sable has to cry and it's very touching seeing a vulnerable side to this witty, sometimes bitchy, TV character.

Stephanie Beacham gave a GREAT performance here.

All of the cast are very good, including Maxwell Caulfield, Tracy Scoggins and Claire Yarlett.

All of them are very likeable, I even warmed to Katharine Ross, John James and Emma Samms. I can't stop noticing how similar-looking John James and Armie Hammer are. I've also thought J.J. looked like John Krasinski and Josh Radnor, too!

Charlton Heston and Barbara Stanwyck seem very 'cold', though. Not necessarily their characters, but the way they act also.

I've liked Katharine Ross since her films I saw years ago, but never really liked Francesca before, until now.


I think I really do slightly prefer this show to "Dynasty". Better camerawork and overall better production. The sets are an improvement and the establishing shots are far superior to "Dynasty"'s.

I completely forgot about Maxwell Caulfield's spot-on impressions of Sable and Jason. That was so funny, he had them down perfectly, too!
