There have been no updates in the Dollhouse thead and I don't remember much of Farscape.

I started watching Stargate Universe. Anybody care to discuss this show somewhere?

I caught a few eps of UNIVERSE and I have to say it looked really good , very dark. But it got cancelled didn't it, so apparently it doesnt ever get to take off .

There will be no more updates from me about DOLHOUSE. I've abandoned it. I got half way through season 2 and was just staring at it . There are no compelling characters , the lead character is so devoid of personality,i just dont care about her. I don't care about any of them. I don't care if they get their memory back or if they go to the attic because it all seems the same. IIts high concept and no character. It's rubbish. I wont be ging back in. And Amy Acker's not in the 2nd season either which i couldnt understand, there was no mention of what happened to her.... it's a mess of a show, it really is.

I tried Stargate (is that the same show?) and just couldn't get into it. Also if it was cancelled, you should channel your energy into something really exciting and twisted like say......Fringe....

It's a shame you gave up or couldn't get into Dollhouse, I thought the second half of season two was brilliant as the big reveal happened.

The big reveal? What is that? That they are all made of plastic and are actualy real barbie dolls?

I could care less if the big reveal was that they are all lesbian-hybrid-cylon reincarnations of Irina Derevko . I don't think there is a reveal that would make this show worth watching.

What is the big reveal? I need a good laugh today Put in spoiler tags....

It better not be that the two leads are EVIL . Or that anyone's EVIL who isnt supposed to be. Thats the level of this show.... I bet the big reveal is that the cop guy is evil or that the nice friendly bloke who looks after them all is really the evil head of the whole ridiculous thing.

You crack me up at times Sunshine boy.

    Anyway back to Farscape...

Different Destinations was a cracking episode Zhaan has only just died and already Rygel is in her quarters looking for anything he can I take it Jools is the replacement for the wonder that was Zhaan. I like her, I think she will add more chaos to the crew of Moya, I also got to hear her and I got to hear Jools curse them as they made her drink piss. I want to see her hair change colour more.

Absolutely loved Eat Me, Zombies in space and did I spot Jim Branning back there..?

D’Argo is dead, but not really this Jim bloke made two of him, so we saw the clone die. Now there’s two Chiana’s, I bet D’Argo regrets dumping her now.

He doubled D’Argo so they could make babies, then he brings this rabid woman out and it looks like she goes down on D’Argo, I can’t look…

    Really... Would you..?

Just as it looks like they’ve survived the Zombies in space, another Crichton turns up. Oh this is going to get messy.

Thanks for Sharing proves what having two Crichton’s can do as he avoids that lobster style lie detector.

Ahh so this is who Aeryn’s mother is Xhalax Sun and from what I’ve seen so far she looks like trouble, I wonder if she will be as ruthless as Sydney Bristow’s mother…

There’s a funny looking piece of liver crawling the floor as Crichton has this secret rendezvous with the leaders stunning daughter and I think she’s actually hitting on him.

As a child I was terrified by the movie 'The Blob'

    Ha ha!
    Cross my heart
    Smack me dead
    Stick a lobster
    On my head

In the Green Eyed Monster we get an episode based around Talon and we find out what lengths Crais will go to get Aeryn, shame on Crichton for doubting Aeryn.

Rygel was on form all episode, he and Stark make a great partnership.

    33 seconds of pure gold..

    Did Jools meet Zhaan?

Weren't there hints throughout the early seasons that Zhaan wasn't all that she seemed? Beyond being a plant I mean.

Oh this is a fantastic plot, the show gets incredibly dark from this point on. This is what I was talking about when I told James that there was shades of Sydney in Aeryn's story.

Yes, Jools appeared in Self-Inflicted Wounds Part 1 and Zhaan got to hear that scream she does so well. I didn't know at the time that Jools was going to stick around.

Amy Acker is in season 2 of Dollhouse. I am confused.

I think you stopped right a SECOND before it got really really good. You spent so much time on this show for nothing if you don't see the remaining episodes. No pay off for Sunshineboy.
Only one more episode. I remember the last one you saw. It gets great after this one. Even Canon seems to think that. Just in case you don't believe me. I would not know why you would not believe me though.

It really feels to me that you would only have needed to see one more second of Dollhouse and then you would have gotten the brilliance. What a shame.
But actually I am sure you saw something already..in season 1...but then you refused to remember it. Did you get wiped? I don't know..this is all very strange with you and Dollhouse.

Canon liked the show. Ome said it was brilliant. I was over the moon while watching. I don't get it.

I guess sometimes we watch a show at the wrong time. Until yesterday I was not ready for Stargate Universe. Only a year ago I thought it was crap, saw some scenes, thought I saw all this before on other shows, thought the characters are waayyy too young...
But this week I tried again and I already think it's brilliant.
And I am sure that some day I will be in the right mood for THE WIRE.
Dollhouse and Sunshineboy - it was bad timing. Yep, that's it. Anything else does not make sense.
    This is my final conclusion.

Amy's episodes in season 2 are awesome btw. She's in the first few and in the last few episodes.

STARGATE: The original show is crap, the first spin off (Atlantis) is crap.
Universe is awesome though. Very dark. And people tell me I can watch it even though it got cancelled. It's 40 episodes, this is not too bad.

Ooooh what a great observation about Sydney/Aeryn/Irina/Xhalax .. god thats brilliant Canon!

Zhaan being more than just a plant . Hmm. Well, she's a priestess plant. I thought the hints were all about her being a potential 12th level P'au , and she got to 10th level. Presumably had she stuck around she would have got to 12th , although since she got to 10th level she had a lot less action because she was always meditating ( which was actually a specific plot device so that Virginia Hey could have some time out from the intensive make up which was making her quite ill).

Rygel and Stark are just beyond funny. There's a series of eps with them together at some point and every two minutes you're rewinding to catch another funny.

Jool wasn't very popular at all on the forums when they brought her in. I think she's great. As soon as she said " You made me drink piss" I fell in love with her.
I don't think they wrote her as strong again as in DIFFERENT DESTINATIONS, she kinda gets more and more diluted. She gets some good one liners in LOSING TIME but I think they dropped the ball with Jool quite quickly. And then when they ########## #### ##### ##### I got so mad. Be interesting to see what you think Ome. Good news though - her hair will change colour - several more times heehee.

What I love about season 3 is that they set up these kinda " conventional" sci fi ep stories and then totally spin them. DIFFERENT DESTINATIONS is like a typical STAR TREK NEXT GENERATION ep where they change tiime and they have to make it right so time wil go back to normal - but oh no. Not these guys. They change time and then in attempting to make it all normal they completely fck it up and the outcome is absoliutely shocking. There'smore of that stuff coming up and i really like it. No one and nothing is safe this season.

that's just way too funny. And I reckon you ONLY get that humour in FARSCAPE because its a mix of Ben Browder and the writers, even ANGEL wasn't this full on of a piss take.
And of course in season 3 John is really world weary and that adds a whole new dimension to the show, its just dark... and then of course in season 4 its just #### NO SPOILERS

I often wonder what it would be like if you had sex with an alien, who knows what they might look like underneath that human guise..

Losing Time was fantastic, I love it when events happen and the characters have no knowledge,it was fascinating when they watched back a recording showing that they had all appeared to have been drugged. The strange light that possessed Pilot was genius, it was like a giant butterfly. Jools "I feel like I had a spiritual enema, Ha!

Relativity another cracker and so very exciting to see Aeryn up against her mother. What I loved about this is you never know when personal emotions set in, after all they are mother and daughter. There's a part of me that wants to see they bond, to become what anyone would like to see between mother and daughter. Then there's another part that wants to see how far each one will go to get what they want.

Crichton and Aeryn are now having sex, but I don't get how this works, does the 'other' Crichton know of this, which one does Aeryn go with, how does she know which is the clone?

I never believe a character is killed off if we don't see it on our screen. Shots were heard when both Crichton & Aeryn left Crais to kill Xhalax (What a fantastic name)

Surely this isn't the end of Xhalax.

Incubator was the one I've been waiting for, to find out how Scorpius became what he is, to learn the secret behind his parents. There were hints that maybe Crichton and Scorpius could work together against the Scarrens. I wanna see more Scarrens, they are to me what the Daleks are to the Doctor.

Oh you'll see a hell of a lot more Scarrens , especially in season 4 - it gets Scarrentastic at one point !

Ok, so the two Crichtons are the same dna but totally diifferent physical people, so Moya John doesn't know whats gong on aboard Talyon because he isn't there. Just as Talyon John has no idea whats going on onboard Moya because he's on Talyon. Both John's are equal, one isn't a copy of the other, that's what makes it great.

Christine woo woo!!!!!! Now listen.. promise me promise me that THIS TIME you won't watch it in German ?!! PLEASE!!!!

P.S I think it was the end of Xhalax before we ever met her!

Okay, it was an April Fool's joke.
But you very much deserve it, for ignoring me earlier. When you have a bad week, something like this can truly hurt.

I am considering though, to borrow Scape from a friend and to watch the first few episodes again, in English of course.

    I think back then I didn't have a choice. ??? I think it was a TV recording.
When I watch a show on DVD, I always watch the original version.

I remember that when I bought my Rygel stuffed animal (no joke, I do have one) at Fedcon 2007, the dealer told me that the German version sucks big time. That he never liked the show and then watched the English version on DVD and it felt like watching a completely different show.

I must say the German dubbing is mostly good. Even the German version of "The Big Bang Theory" is incredibly funny and I kind of even prefer the German version. . Sometimes the dubbing makes a show better. Sometimes it makes the actor seem better. Priscilla Presley is a great example. The German version of Jenna Wade is brilliant, she really is.

HA , did i ignore you? Aww sorry , not deliberately.. maybe you were talking about Dollhouse and i can't think of anything to say!

That's interesting about Jenna Wade becomming brilliant - how is she brilliant ?

You should rewatch FARSCAPE , it's genius, don't deny yourself the pleasure and you still haven't seen season 4 !

Amy wasn't in any of the season 2 i saw but i might have fallen asleep.

I saw a couple of UNIVERSE and they were really really good, i was shocked. It''s as different from the STARGATE crap as it could be, no wonder it got cancelled all the STARGATE fans must have peed their pants when they saw a decent bit of sci fi . I'm definately ordering it, it's on my wish list! Keep me posted about how whether it gets to the full brilliance, if it does i'll get it sooner!

Yes, she is in the first few episodes, then she disappears (you see her in her car, driving off to get away from this hell) but later she returns and does something very shocking.
I remember that Dollhouse, S2 has a disappointing start. Episode 1 with Apollo from Battlestar is boooring. I like the episode though when she thinks she's the mother of a baby and you can't wipe her maternal instinct. This is an interesting theory. The episode with the serial killer (and Tigh from Battlestar) was disappointing too but it was fun seeing "Victor's" performance, the actor is aweseome.
S2 had a slow start which they could definitely not afford at the time. Or maybe the network wanted them to do boring stand alones, this is what happened with Angel, Joss was forced to go back to stand alones so that he would get a fifth season.
I liked the episode about Sierra's past. And then it gets really good. , I keep sayingt that, I know.

I think this is exactly what happened. Suddenly there are real people on a Stargate show with real emotions and this must have been a huge culture shock for the Stargate fans.

I have seen 4 episodes so far and I am absolutely loving it. It is very very dark. Very character driven. I hate the Stargte fandom.

Farscape: Maybe Fedcon will get me into the mood. I am definitely going to see Virgina Hey's Q&A panel, if only to hear the brilliant Farscape music. They play it every time before the actor gets on stage. I am getting goose bumps already!

It's been one of those weeks and I haven't had my fix of Farscape since Incubator, hopefully I'll be back on track tomorrow.

(Or I could have a very late one tonight..)
