I agree, Katherine started out with such a strong storyline, but by the end she didnt have much...I think She and Robin could have had some good stories if they hadnt left.

This is true.
I honestly think the reason i dont sympathize is because we never really saw Tom and Annabel together. And since this story was way into season one i was already very into Tom and Lynette and i just saw Annabel as a problem

This was after Julie had been strangled. She Told Danny that she was afraid and he gave her his mothers gun.
Katherine was outside sneaking around the house and Susan thought she was an intruder. Katherine says she was doing a neighborhood watch patrol

I saw Doug, James, and Ricardo on THE VIEW last week. Doug talked about how disappointed he was that Tom and Lynette split. He thought they should have stayed together, representing what married couples are like these days. I'd have to agree. There are more creative ways to create conflict in a storyline besides tearing TV couples apart.

I agree with you, there is so many things they could have done other than breaking up Tom and Lynette.
But there is still a little hope that Cherry will put them back together before the series ends.
