Chapter 13

Sue Ellen looked at JR, "Lets take him home"?

"Sue Ellen I don't want the family asking questions, I will get Harry or one of his people to stay with him at the condo"

"No that man is mean, I'm not leaving this child with him"

JR pulled Sue Ellen close, "You don't get close to this child, he probably isn't mine, that lady is a tramp"

"Really you slept with her"

"I knew you would act this way, yeah I slept with her. I was so drunk, and so was Ray"

"Did you use a condom"?

"I think so I don't remember"

"You truly are a idiot, you didn't care about my well being did you"

"I hardly slept with you"

"Shut up the child heard enough yelling"

"He isn't coming to Southfork"

"I will stay with him you go home, and tomorrow we will get him tested"

"You will stay with him"?

"Yes, I'm not leaving him alone, he needs me"

"Really your getting attached why"?

"I feel for him stop this JR"

"Fine we will get him some clean clothes, I'm not taking him to the doctors wearing that outfit. He needs a bath too, I hope he is ok"

"He is a child stop it"

"Yeah Luther's and Wanda's child, remember the man that almost raped you"

"Yeah because of you"

"Sue Ellen enough"

"I'm hungry". Josh cried out, he had tears on his cheek. Sue Ellen walked over, "We are going somewhere real nice, I will make you something to eat"

"Great the child is hungry Sue Ellen you will cook"

"Why are you being so rude"?

Josh whispered, "Please don't fight, I hate it"

Sue Ellen hugged him, "I'm so sorry Sweetie". They got up , and walked out going to JR's car. They stopped, and got him a milk, and a muffin to tide him over until they could get him a deceit meal. JR stopped at a children clothing store, and Sue Ellen took Josh in. They got him a couple of outfits, pajamas, and shoes, and some other stuff he might need like toothbrush, comb, and socks. They walked out, and JR took them to the Condo. He grabbed the bags, as JR took them up on the elevator. They went into the condo, and JR put the bag down, and walked over looking at the menus. He looked at Josh, "Would you like pizza or chicken"?

"Pizza please"

"Pepperoni ok"?

"Yes Sir"

"Ok" JR ordered the dinner, he told Sue Ellen to go give Josh a shower before they ate. Sue Ellen took Josh to the bathroom, she turned on the shower, and told him she would be right outside the door if he needed anything.

'Your not leaving me"?

"No I wouldn't do that, here is your pajamas put them on ok"

"Ok".

Sue Ellen shut the door, and JR walked in. "He is in the shower"?

"Getting in"

"Sue Ellen promise me you won't get attached to him, he isn't staying with us"

"What if he is yours"?

"He is not mine, so don't think about it. I'm going home, I will say you stayed in town with a friend, I will be back at 10am tomorrow ok"

"Ok JR but can't you stay for dinner"?

"No I will go home, and have dinner with our son, not someone Else's"

"OMG JR you are being heartless"

"Goodbye see you tomorrow"

"Call me later promise"

"Yeah but remember tomorrow he is a ward of the State". JR grabbed his coat, and left. Sue Ellen shut the door, and locked it. She jumped when Josh whispered, "What is a ward of the state"?

"Josh you didn't get your shower"?

"I am but the water is to cold, I can't change it"

"Oh I'm terrible I'm so sorry sweetie"

"Your not terrible your real nice, I like you"

"I like you to Sweetie, but I better get you in the shower before dinner comes"

"Where did that man go"?

"Home but he will be back tomorrow"

"He doesn't like me does he"?

"Shh don't think that way, lets get you in the shower". She walked to the bathroom, she fixed the water, but turned seeing Josh take his shirt off putting it on the door knob. She walked over, "OMG the bruises what happened to you"?

"My Dad was real mean he hated me too". Sue Ellen pulled him into her arms, and whispered, "Oh you poor child, I won't let anyone else hurt you, I promise".

Excellent Update Jessie, JR needs to realize it's not Josh fault, it's his for cheating on Sue Ellen, it will teach
JR a lesson if it is revealed that Josh is his son, look forward to more updates.......................

Chapter 14

Sue Ellen shut the bathroom door as Josh got in the shower. She walked down the hall she felt ill. She remembered Luther, she remembered his cruel, and disgusting voice. He was cruel, and she shivered thinking poor Josh was beaten, and hurt by him. He was a sweet child, and he didn't deserve this. She didn't feel sorry for , Marilou but she knew she should.
She sat on the couch wondering how she would stay, and allow that man to abuse her, and her child. She wiped some tears from her face, she was the same she stayed in a bad marriage because she loved JR, he hit her once, but what he did to her was just as bad as abuse. She got up when she heard someone knocking at her door. It was the pizza delivery guy, she got the money, and tipped him, and took the pizza. She went into the dining room, and put the pizza down, as she set the table. She grabbed Josh some juice, and she got a diet cola for herself. She heard the bathroom door open, she smiled as he came into the dining room.

"Hey just in time the pizza is here, I bet you are really hungry"

'Yes I'm starving"

Sue Ellen smiled as she told him to sit down, as she got him a slice of pizza, and a piece of garlic bread.

"Thank you"

"My son John Ross loves pizza too, you would like him Josh"

" I don't have a brother or sister Daddy said Mom only gave him me. He didn't like me much, I was bad he said"

"I'm sure you were fine your Daddy had a problem Sweetie"

"I want my Mom, will I see her again"?

"Someday but not right now"

"Is my Daddy going to be OK, I didn't want Mommy to hurt him. It was my fault, I should have been a good boy, and he would leave Mommy alone"

"This is not your fault , your Mom tried to protect you"

"Is that man that was here my Dad, Payton said he was my Daddy now"?

" Sweetie lets eat, and lets get you to bed, and get some sleep. You have a big day tomorrow, you need some rest"

Josh was eating Sue Ellen was watching him, she didn't know what to think. Part of her wanted Josh to be JR's, but part of her didn't. He was so sweet, but she knew everything would change if he was. Josh deserved a good life, and she knew he may never be with his Mother again. She hoped the courts gave her a break, Luther was violent, and he deserved what he got. She knew taking the law into your own hands isn't right but that night when Luther terrorized her, and the family, she would have killed him if she got the chance. She could have shot JR too she hated him , but she had to forgive him, but you would think he would have changed but he didn't. He cheated again the next week, and she knew it was that day that she grew cold inside, she hated herself for staying with JR, but she knew walking away from the only family she had was not an option. She couldn't go back home to her Mother, that would be worse, than staying with JR. She made so many mistakes in her life, but for once she knew she had to be strong for John Ross, and Josh. She wanted to accept him as JR's child, but she needs to know JR will be beside her, and together they will help Josh adjust to his new life. She jumped as the phone rang.

"Keep eating Sweetie , I will be right back"

Sue Ellen got up running to the phone, and said, "Hello"

"Hey Sue Ellen how is everything going"?

"He is eating you should see the bruises JR, I can't imagine what he went through"

"Sue Ellen I will be there at 9am, we will find out the truth soon. I really don't believe he is my son, but if he is we will deal with it than"

"He is so sweet, and so alone, he wants his Mom"

"Well that isn't happening, I called to see what is going on with her. Luther is critical they don't think he will make it. She is in jail she can not come up with the bail she has no one"

"God"

"Sue Ellen there is nothing we can do to help her. She tried to kill her husband, she has to pay for that"

"He hurt them both, I would kill anyone hurting my son"

"Sue Ellen get some rest, I will see you in the morning"

"JR"

"Yes Sue Ellen"

"I'm scared JR, please come here, and be with me"

"I can't tonight Sugar, you will be fine, what your doing for that boy is real sweet"

"Goodnight JR" She hung up, and stood by the counter trying to compose herself. She turned but felt Josh hug her, and she knelt down hugging him back.

Chapter 15

Sue Ellen knelt down, and touched Josh's cheek, and he smiled at her but she could see he was scared. She told him to go back, and finish his pizza.

"Are you going to eat too"?

"Sure lets go eat" She walked over, she really didn't feel like eating but she did because she wanted Josh to eat. He was eating, and she smiled he was such an amazing child, she was looking at him trying to see if she could see any resemblance to JR.

"You are not eating " Josh said, and Sue Ellen told him she wasn't feeling to well.

"Is it because of me"?

"No I'm just tired, and I'm worry about you"

"I'm scared "

Sue Ellen touched his hand he said he was finished. She took his hand, and said he should get some sleep. She walked down the hall, and went into the room Josh was going to sleep in. She pulled the comforter, and sheets down, and than turned to tell Josh to go to the bathroom, and brush his teeth for bed. Josh went into the bathroom Sue Ellen sat on the bed, she waited for Josh to come out. He came out asking where the toothbrush was? She went into the bathroom, and found a new one in the cupboard, and rinsed it off. She handed it to Josh, and he asked her if she was going to watch to make sure he did it right his Mommy always did.

" Sure if you want me too" Josh was brushing his teeth, and Sue Ellen said he did a great job. She took his hand, and walked him out, and he got in bed, and she pulled the covers up. He grabbed her hand, and Sue Ellen whispered, "I promise you no one will hurt you Sweetie"

"I don't want you to go please stay with me"

"I will be right next door"

Sue Ellen got up but Josh cried out, and Sue Ellen sat beside him, and hugged him saying she will stay with him. She laid beside him, and he was quiet, and she told him to shut his eyes, and told him he was safe with her. He shut his eyes, and she laid there watching him, she knew she couldn't leave his side, he was afraid, and she couldn't blame him. He missed his Mom, he witnessed his Dad being shot, and he was brought here by that horrible man, and he was so confused.

She started to drift off asleep,they both were snuggled together.

JR opened the door of the condo, he felt horrible leaving her alone, when this was really his responsibility not hers. He had to make this right, and he really hoped Josh was not his because it would only make things in their marriage worse. She would probably hate him, and how would he explain Josh to the family, and the world for that matter. He hated that the child suffered, and he would make sure he was safe, but he couldn't stay with them. He walked down the hall looking in the master bedroom, and was surprised Sue Ellen was not in there. He walked out going into the other bedroom, and opened the door, and stood in shock. He saw them snuggled together, he couldn't believe his eyes she was doing exactly what he told her not to do. He walked over, he was looking at the child, and he couldn't keep his eyes off of him. He was cute, but he couldn't see any resemblance to himself. He walked around touching Sue Ellen making her jump.

"Sue Ellen come out in the living room, don't wake the child"

"I can't leave him alone he is afraid, I promised him I would be here when he wakes up"

"I told you not to get attached he is not my child"

"How do you know he could be JR"?

"Oh God come out of this room, I'm getting angry".

"No why are you here"?

JR grabbed Sue Ellen she pulled away, and JR pulled her up, and was pulling her out of the room. Sue Ellen and JR jump when Josh yelled, "Don't hurt her please, I will be a good boy, I promise"

Sue Ellen went to go to him, but JR walked over first, and knelt down, and whispered, "I'm so sorry, I wasn't going to hurt her, I promise"

Josh went into his arms, and Sue Ellen started to cry, when JR hugged him, and she could see a side to JR that she knew was in there, but she rarely saw.

I hope JR cares for him and thinks about his feelings more than his own, even if he is/isn't his son.
