I think my answer might be longer than yours
. I'm actually glad yours took two posts because now i wont feel so silly.
Ok for the outside i totally Love Bree's Garden and yard. But house wise i love the outside of Lynette's
I love the color and the wisterias hanging off of the porch. so pretty.
As for the inside, i gotta say Bree. Its funny but as my mom and i were watching she kept mentioning that if i had the money i would most likely live like Bree. I love her style, i guess im just old fashioned.
Also i love the stair case in Katherines house. i always did. even back when Mike lived there.
I agree with so many of your points on Gaby. I mean she really is a selfish person and if i knew her in real life i wouldnt like her....At All.
Ok now on to your question.....Good one BTW
Honestly i think Mike and Susan got remarried pretty fast. I felt so bad for Katherine and i dont think she got the closure she truly deserved.
I dont think Mike should have married her. But i also dont think he and Susan should have married as quickly as they did.
It would have been interesting had he married her and then realised that he truly loved Susan. but i think in the end that would have made things much worse for Katherine.
What do you think?
and then my next question is.
Katherine stabbing herself and blaming Mike....Thoughts?

Grrrrr...
I answered both of the questions in one long post and was going to hit reply when my Internet shut down on me!
I am going to answer in shorter posts so that I will not lose as much.

Should Mike have married Susan or Katherine?
Mike should not have married Susan so quickly; it made no sense. We didn't see them talk about what just happened with Dave, or if they truly loved each other (versus a moment of passion). We didn't even see Mike propose...all we saw was the wedding. Katherine became the 'woman scorned' after her fiance and so called 'best friend' hooked up behind her back with no explanation. It would have been nicer to see the drama dragged out...Mike marrying Katherine only to develop stronger feelings for Susan (and she for him). Katherine would be oblivious at first, only to grow suspicious as time went on....and then we could see a wonderful confrontation (compared to an over-the-top cat fight at the church).
Mike choosing Susan sent Katherine into a tailspin, and the writers chose to make her crazy (something I wasn't very fond of. Like Orson's klepto stage, it destroyed part of the character).

Onto your question: Katherine stabbing herself and blaming Mike
A crazy action like that, committed by a once sane character, destroyed said character's credibility (like Orson and his klepto stage). This was not a crazy person from the get-go. This woman was sane and went off the deep end after her fiance chose her best friend over her.
I'm not a fan of Katherine's crazy stage (it made the character painful to watch), and it was hard to sympathize with someone so batty - and audiences should have felt sorry for her (she was the scorned woman). Cherry made her crazy to make Mike and Susan look good (a choice that I did not like - these two were the bad guys in the story, regardless of love).
Katherine was only partly redeemed after returning from her hospital stay; only to get involved in a whirlwind romance and leave the Lane for good. Though Katherine and Robin are cute together, I'd have rather Katherine stay on the Lane rather than run off.
I'll create a new question soon.

New question (once you answer your own):
Favorite love triangle (or quadrilateral, hexagon, etc.)

Gotta love when you type up everything and the Internet gives out on you.
ok here i go with all of my replying.
I love your Thoughts on The whole Katherine,Mike,Susan mess.
Ok, Katherine stabbing herself. Honestly i agree with you. I hate that they took this once strong character and made her completely lose her mind. However i did really feel sorry for her. My mom didnt get it. She kept trying to defend Susan and Mike. You are the first person that has said what i felt. Mike and Susan were in the wrong. I mean Susan was her best friend and Mike told her he loved her.....and then all of a sudden they were together and Katherine was left in the cold.
When she stabbed herself i found myself on her side even though it was totally over the top. And the things Mike said to her.....That was just so sad.....And he was lying. I mean i know he loved Susan but he loved Katherine too.....in a different way, but still....if he hadn't would he have sent her the roses that said "Don't Go" ? Why not just have her leave then?
I Love that she ended up getting better though, and Finding love with Robin. I wish she and Robin would have stayed on the lane though. Or if they had to leave for her to figure out what they had.... I wish they would have returned like Season 7.
Now to answer your question.
My Fav love Triangle is
Bree, Karl, and Orson.
I know its not a very interesting one.....The Bree/Karl pairing is though!
That is my favorite pairing for Bree and i really think they would have been happy if he had lived.
I think by the time Bree fell for Karl her relationship with Orson was pretty much over. He as she said had put her through Hell and i loved the way she acted when she was with Karl. He brought out a different side to her that we hadnt really seen before.
I hated that Orson was blackmailing her to stay, but i liked that we later learned that he never would have gone through with it.
Awaiting your answer.
and as for my next question.
In "If" They show us Bree and Karl's life had he lived....Do you think that's how it would have truly been? Or Do you think he would have changed for Bree.

I love that you picked mike....Thought abiout him and Orson....but i have always liked Tom.
You know, I love Susan and her klutzy ways.....and things like her getting locked out naked are so funny.
But honestly the scene that made me laugh the hardest in season 1 was when Bree had the reverend over to dinner to talk to Andrew.
i mean at first it was just a funny scene but then when they upset her and she tells about Rex and his S&M i just could not stop laughing!
Bree Van De Kamp: Reverend, I don't mean to criticize, but it sounds like you're giving up.
Reverend Sikes: Well, we can't force him on the path of righteousness. He himself has got to want to make the journey.
Bree Van De Kamp: Well, then, what do we do, just stand by while he starts dating boys?
[to Andrew]
Bree Van De Kamp: And by the way, the correct word is not "gay." It's "sodomy."
Rex Van De Kamp: We're in the middle of dinner.
Bree Van De Kamp: So?
Rex Van De Kamp: So, can you at least wait until desert before calling our son a sodomite?
Bree Van De Kamp: How you can sit there and be so casual is beyond me.
Rex Van De Kamp: For starters, I knew this dinner was a bad idea the moment you suggested it.
Bree Van De Kamp: Well, at least I'm trying to be pro-active!
Reverend Sikes: Please, there's no need to get upset.
Bree Van De Kamp: I am upset because there is a problem here and no-one seems to notice it but me.
Rex Van De Kamp: As far as I'm concerned, if Andrew is happy with who he is, then it is our job to support him!
[brief silence]
Bree Van De Kamp: [to Andrew] Your father is into S&M.
Rex Van De Kamp: Bree!
Bree Van De Kamp: He makes me beat him with a riding crop and I let him. It's no wonder you're perverted. Look who your parents are.
[Bree gets up and leaves]
Rex Van De Kamp: Excuse me.
[Rex leaves too]
Andrew Van De Kamp: [to Reverend Sikes] What a fun night. You know, we should really do this again sometime.
Wow That is a deep question.
I mean Mary Alice's death seems to have affected them all in some degree.
I mean it messed up Zack for Sure....And poor Paul.
And I think Lynette has a deep connection with it because she Saw Mary Alice that day and thinks she could have stopped her.
Bree and Lynette both see Mary Alice when things are going wrong for them, but to answer your question i think it really affected Zack most.
What do you think?
Ok Fav Van de Kamp child?

I'm tempted to say Paul....especially after his return last season. Paul was a decent house-houseband; he loved his wife and son, he didn't cheat on his family (that we know of), and he was a good provider. He went to great lengths to protect Mary Alice and the secret when she was alive and dead (willing to take the blame for the shooting of Zach's mother Deidara for so long). He was affected in the worst way after her death; of his past ghosts came back to haunt him...he was portrayed as the bad guy with no sympathy for anyone. It took years to redeem himself and finally turn himself in for what he did years ago (killing Martha Huber in cold blood).
Favorite Van de Kamp kid...... this eliminates Julie (my favorite kid on the Lane).
As for the Van de Kamp kids, can I pick Benjamin? He mother was a Van de Kamp, and retained her name after divorcing environmental lawyer guy.
I thought Benjamin was cute as a button, he was Bree's third chance after Andrew and Danielle grew to resent her for years of Stepford motherhood (I don't get why these two grew to be so resentful...I thought she was an okay mother, strict, but she loved her kids). At five years old when Ben returned he was even cuter than before (such nice dark hair - if I remember correctly).
So yeah, I am going with Benjamin because there is no way that I am picking Danielle. I might have been willing to reconsider Andrew if he hadn't seem to abandon his mother yet again (where was he when all this 'Chuck' stuff is going on????)
New question will be.....
Least favorite story line overall (spanning eight years).

-
-
Ha! I love Benjamin. He was such a cute baby and i was so sad when Danielle took him away from Bree.
And then when they came back he was still a sweetie. I like when she has first started dating Keith and they show up and he keeps calling her grandma. That was funny.
But My fav of The Van de Kamp children is Andrew. I really hated how he treated Bree in the beginning of the series, but I loved how they seemed to get closer as the series moved on.
True he hasn't been there during this whole Chuck thing.....But i think that is more the writing than the character.....Andrew hasn't even been on the show so far this season.
Least favorite storyline.......
Wow i dont know what to pick
There has been a few things i thought were dull.
Gaby and Victor for one.
I hated that pairing from the beginning and it was a pretty dull story until she and Carlos started to fall for each other again.
The Applewhite Storyline was also really dull after a while. I mean it started out interesting and then quickly lost my intrest.
And Susan and that website Va Va Va Broom.....Ugh!
What is your least favorite?
What is an episode that sticks in your mind?
-
-
-
-
-
-
True. I forgot that Victor married Gaby for that reason.
I mainly didn't like the courting part of their storyline. It annoyed me and was kind of dull IMO
LOVE When Rex pushed George into the pool and he took Bree with him!
that scene is awesome.
For me an episode that sticks in my head is from season 3 episode "Bang"
I was just in awe with that one. The housewife just snapping with the gun and holding everyone hostage!
I actually gasped when Nora was shot! Never saw that coming and then Lynette having her breakdown.... Felicity was brilliant there.
And the neighbors all gathering at Bree's to watch on the TV because they knew she would have food.

Very good eppy 'Bang' though it started the 'traumatic eppys', like the tornado, fire, etc.
New question: Nora: good, evil, or inbetween?
-
-
-
I dont really think Nora was good or Evil.....Crazy yes for sure. I honestly think she is like so many other female characters out there that have a baby and think they are doing the right thing by not telling the father, then later realize they want the happy little family image.
What she was attempting was evil. Trying to get Tom for her and Kayla. And she was Evil to Lynette. but i guess i think she was more inbetween and she certainly didn't deserve to die like she did.
Same question only on Kayla.
-
-
-
I'd say that Nora was chemically imbalanced in some way.
We don't know a lot about her backstory except that she had a baby with Tom before he married Lynette and he chose to do the right thing by staying involved and taking care of them as best as he could. When Nora saw the opening for her and Kayla to be closer to Tom she jumped at it - literally - and started pushing Lynette out of the way.
I never liked this story line to begin with. Tom and Lynette were so solid at the time, and to think of Tom having this whole other life without his wife was very difficult. And Nora was written to be 'the bad guy or problem that won't go away' with Lynette always coming out good in the end. It would have been nice to see a sweet, well intention Nora go up against a paranoid and possessive Lynette, but Cherry had to write Lynette in a postive way (forcing Nora into a corner).
Onto Kayla. All we knew about her (while her mother was alive) was that Kayla loved Tom. She never met Lynette or the Scavo brood. Suddenly she was part of this family. I'm sure Nora was poisioning her against Lynette, trying to keep her on her side, try to split Tom and Lynette up. This all blew up when Nora died and Tom and Lynette had to raise her together. This child was preconditioned to view Lynette as 'bad' and her 'good mother' was now dead. Any child would act out. I wouldn't call Kayla evil; I'd call her misunderstood, traumatized, and a little malicious (she knew what she was doing when she told the boys to jump off the roof, and tried to frame Lynette for child abuse).
Will come up with new question soon.
If anyone else (Mel, Minx) is reading this, please feel free to jump in and contribute, answer a question or solicit one of your own.
