Just a quick reply regarding THE PLAN: I haven't seen it yet.
However, you must not fear that it is a disaster a la Prison Break. It was planned for a very long time to film THE PLAN, I think the filming continued immediately after they were done shooting the finale.
THE PLAN tells the story all over again, from the perspective of the cylons. I am sure it's great. I would recommend you watch it. I haven't seen it because it came out half a year after the finale of Battlestar. And I was just not in the mood anymore. However, for you it will be great to see it. I have it on BluRay and I am going to see it someday...
I believe curiosity will lead me to watch The Plan, but right now I'm really happy with how the regular seasons have ended.
One other thing that put me off was no Starbuck or Apollo, and while these were not directly favourites, I feel somewhat sad that they won't be part of my final memory of the show.
During season 1-3 I would agree not to join sides with the Cylons, but that all changed in season 4 when the final five were revealed. There was no way I could have turned on Tigh, Sam, Tyrol or even Athena. Plus I don't like war, so any chance of becoming allies I would be interested in talking.
If I were a member of the crew, I would definitely trust the Final 5. But the Final 5 were never involved in the war! I would still see them as humans somehow, even though they are not.
However, there is no way that I could trust the 7 cylon models, no way.

And for me it was the other way around.
I really liked her in seasons 1 and 2. And then she started getting on my nerves.
Since it is a flashback I am not worried that it will ruin the series finale.
All this time it was said "and they have a plan". But what exactly was the plan?
I think it will be interesting to learn why the cylons wanted to destroy mankind.

I dropped WHO off my schedule for now and watched the pilot of FRINGE today.
I remembered that I did not like the case of the week format when I started watching all these years ago but then I also remembered that I instantly liked the characters, especially Walter Bishop and his son, sooo.....I deciced to give the show another go.
Yes, I watched episode 2 yesterday.
And I started to wonder why I did not like the show when I watched the first few episodes a few years ago. It's actually very good and I am looking forward to seeing more.

Great, I can't wait till you crack open the big story. I know you know of the parallel universe, but believe me, that's just the tip of the iceberg. You're going to be catapulted into something so big and rich you'll be asking why did I pause on this series earlier.
Are you aware of a famous Star Trek actor appearing in Fringe?
If you're not, don't look it up, it will be a great surprise for you.
It has quite a few small but really interesting revelations about some of the tiny story detail from the first 2 seasons. It doesn't tell any radical stories its more a texture piece about the cylon characters. It's very very well done.
CAPRICA is the one you MUST do, god it's a good show. It doesn't last long, it was cancelled but there is a rich and rewarding season of drama there. It's atmospheric and incredibly detailed. It's nothing short of a masterpiece. I've never seen anything on tv like it, it's as vital and fresh a piece of storytelling as BSG, and actually thhe themes around artificial intelligence feel more vital because the world of Caprica is at a similair stage of technoology in A.I as we are so it raises some fascinating questions.
After a long break from Galactica I plan to watch The Plan and Caprica when I have finished with Farscape. I'm undecided on whether to do this after season four and save The Peacekeeper Wars till after Caprica.
Peacekeeper Wars isn't great, it's Ok but FARSCAPE doesn't work as a big mini series , it's too huge... maybe watch PKW after a break for CAPRICA , you might enjoy it a bit more then.
