Josh got to the hospital, and Rick walked over, hurry Josh there isn't much time. Josh went running down the hall, he seen Marah, Shayne, and Johnathon, and he ran up to them. They all hugged him, crying saying she was asking for him. He walked in, walking over to the bed. He sat beside her, smiling," Reva I'm here".

She could barely move but she managed to lift her hand, into his. He kissed her hand, trying to hold tears back, but he couldn't. He touched her face, " Reva you can't give up on us".

"Josh I will aways be in your heart, but I'm tired".

"Reva remember that first day I met you, we so liked each other right away."?

"We sure did, but HB and my Ma Ma, did everything to keep us apart".

" It didn't work did it Reva, we managed to be together "?

"Oh Bud, you were smooth, and so handsome".

" You are just as beautiful as the first day we met, that smile of yours".

" You lie but a girl loves to hear that kind of talk".

"You blessed me with Marah and Shayne, they are amazing Reva".

"Just like their Daddy".

"No like you Reva, they are so much like you".

"Josh you know, I love you, I owe you so much".

" You don't owe me anything, I was blessed you came into my life that day. You gave me so much love, joy, pleasure, and laughter. You were my best friend, lover, and wife. We had heartache, but we always, found our way back to each other. I love you Reva, I can't live without you". Josh started to cry.

"No tears Josh, you promised, I can't bare to see you cry".

"Reva your all I need, how can I go on without you"?

"You will for the kids, and the grandkids, they need you Josh. You are the strongest man I know, you will be fine".

Josh brought his lips to Reva's, she barely could kiss him back. He touched her lips, bringing his lips over hers. She shut her eyes, remembering all the times, she made love to Josh. She wished she had more time, she had tears falling down her cheek. He whispered, " hang on , don't leave me I need you ". She looked into his eyes , "can we have one last dance"?

" Reva, we can't move you , the doctor would say no".

"Please, I need to feel you in my arms, one last time".

Josh was devastated, but he walked over to the CD player Shayne brought her. He looked at the CD's , and turned, "who brought this"?

" Marah, I asked her too, that is our song Josh".

" This was the first song, we danced to, and it was the first night we made love".

"I never want you to forget that moment Josh. I don't ever want you to forget me".

Josh put his hand to his mouth, " I would never forget you Reva, how could, I "?

Josh put the song on, Elvis Presley - Love Me Tender . He walked over, pulling down her blanket. He lifted her into his arms, she asked him to put her down. He put her down, but held her tight. She moved real close, as he wrapped his arms tightly around him. They moved, but he started to cry, she was so weak, she leaned her head against his chest. She looked into his eyes, " I love you Bud, never let me go, you have made my life complete, and I love you so". He could feel her leaving him, as she shut her eyes, and went limp in his arms. He screamed so loud, his kids came in. He held Reva, in his arms, as they both slipped to the ground. Marah hugged Shayne, and Johnathon, slid down the wall. Rick walked in, he put his hand on Marah and Shayne. Josh rocked Reva in his arms, he touched her face, " Reva come back to me". Marah and Shayne walked over sitting beside their Dad, both crying. It was 1/2hour before Josh allowed the Doctors, to take Reva out of his arms. He sat on the floor shaking looking at his hands, he couldn't believe he lost Reva. He never thought he would lose her, she was so alive, and he thought they would grow real old together. Marah and Shayne finally got him off the floor, and they took him home. They had a funeral a few days later, it was one of the biggest funeral ever in Springfield. Josh was devastated, it took him weeks, to finally come out of the house. He would go to her grave, everyday putting flowers down. He brought her favorite flowers Daisy's. He would sit there for hours talking to his best friend, and he felt peace being there. He knew she was gone, but he felt her with him always. He got up , he whispered, " I love You, and I always will Reva".

Luke and Reid were at the bar, they were bickering, but they sure were having a fun time. Luke jumped up on the mechanical bull, and Reid couldn't keep his eyes off of him. Luke was so cute, but annoying, but Reid's heart was beating so fast just watching him. Reid smiled Luke was looking at him the whole time. Reid took a sip of his beer, he has been alone for so long, but Luke was making him want a relationship with someone. He wanted someone to come home to. He wanted someone to kiss goodnight, and make love to when he needed comfort after a bad day. He wanted someone to watch football with, and share a bowl of potato chips with while watching TV. Luke got on his nerves big time, but he was sexy, and he was driving Reid crazy.

Luke was on the mechanical bull, he was laughing, but his heart was racing. He thought Reid was so handsome, and he wanted his full attention. Luke laughed to himself, it wouldn't be so cool if he fell off, and made a fool of himself. Oh maybe Doc Reid would tend to his wounds, that would be fun. Luke motioned to the man, that he wanted off the bull. He jumped down, and walked over to Reid, who smiled, "wow that was something Luke"

"Let me see you get up there Reid"?

"Me no"

"Scared Dr. Oliver"?

"Me scared I don't think so".

"Do it than"

Reid walked over jumping up on the Bull, motioning to the man to start it. It started slow, he was laughing, he almost fell off a few times. Luke was smiling, Oh God Reid was sexy, and that smile was to die for. Reid smiled as he moved, and after a few moments, he got off walking over to Luke.

"Did I look scared Luke"?

"No, but you sure did look sexy".

"Oh Richie Rich, you are something"

"Admit it, you love me don't you Reid"

"Love, I don't use that word"

"You do I can see it in your eyes, but your so cool"

"That is me, want to grab a burger"?

"Do you have a bottomless pit of a stomach"?

"Yeah how did you know, I think it is because I'm so active, I need fuel"

"Oh really Reid, that is a good one". They both laugh, they went over getting 2 burgers, and a couple of beers. They talked to the wee morning hours, it was time to go home. Reid walked out to his car, and Luke smiled as they stopped just looking at each other. Reid touched his face, and gave Luke a kiss, to end all kisses. Reid walked to his car, and smiled," tonight was fun Luke"

"Reid it doesn't have to end"

"What do you mean Luke"?

Luke smiled, "follow me". Reid did follow Luke, and he was surprised, that Luke took him to the pond. They got out of their cars, and Luke walked over holding out his hand to Reid. He took it, while Luke grabbed a blanket out of his car. They walked over to the pond, they put the blanket down, and sat talking. It was hours later, they were laying on the blanket staring at the sky. Luke whispered, "That was amazing Reid, it was better than I ever expected". Reid smiled, "It was Luke, but it was everything, I imagined". They both smile as they held hands, both not wanting this evening to end, because it was the most amazing, night in both their lives. They knew they would be together forever, because tonight, they gave each other their hearts, and their promise, that they would love each other, and they knew this was a start of a new life together.

Beneath the Painted Sky

Holly and Robert Scorpio had been for almost a year. Things were going well between them. They were adjusting to being married and to being new parents since the arrival of Robert's seven year old daughter Robin. She was unexpected to him as he was unaware of her conception, birth or existence till a few short months ago. He was thrilled to know he was a father but pissed that he was kept out of her birth by her mother, former WSB agent Anna DeVane.

Holly, though angry at first because he never told her that he was married before and she would've liked to have known even if they were married as part of a WSB spy caper. Her anger didn't last long as she fell in love with Robin. She was a beautiful girl with so much personality you couldn't help but love her.


The Scorpio Townhouse

Holly was home from the spa to care for Robin who was home from school burning up with fever. She was so little, only six, and Holly had never really cared for a child before. She was hoping she knew what she was doing. Holly knew one thing, she was worried about the fever holding on so long. It had been almost four days and it didn't seem to wanna let up on poor Robin's little body. She had made some chicken soup earlier and put it in the refrigerator in case Robin woke up and the fever let up she might be hungry. She was checking the mail when the phone startled her.

H: Holly Scorpio.

R: Robert Scorpio. How are you Luv?

H: (smiling) Always better when I hear your voice.

R: How's the little one? Is she still feverish?

H: Still burning up. I'm really worried about her Robert. The fever should've broken by now with all the fever reducer she's had.

R: You want me to come home? Maybe spell you a bit?

H: I've never turned down the chance to have you home. But you don't have to come to relieve me. I'm fine. It's Robin I'm concerned about. But when you do come home stop and get some more medicine for her.

R: Alright. I'll see you in a bit. I love you.

H: Really? How much?

R: Ridiculously much.

H: Good. I love you that much as well.

They hung up.


Robin's Room

Holly went up and changed the sheets on the bed. She hated moving Robin but she didn't like the idea of her laying on wet sheets from all the sweat. She guessed the sweating was good for her. Robin squirmed and opened her eyes as she wiped her forehead.

Rn: Holly?

H: Yes Robin. I'm here.

Rn: Where's my Daddy?

H: He'll be here soon honey. Just go back to sleep and rest.

Rn: I need a drink.

Holly gave her a sip of ice water and she lay back down.

Rn: Will you tell me a story?

H: Okay, what story do yo want to hear?

Rn: Tell me about the painted sky.

Holly sat next to her and snuggled her close then started in...

H: Well when I was little I used to spend the summers at my Grandfather Ian's farm. I loved my Gramps but I didn't much like being outside there with all the bugs. They were awful bugs. Big flies, mosquitoes. Oh they were like jet fighter planes! Huge. The bugs made it hard for me to have a good time. I was also allergic to bee stings so that was a bit messy. Anyway, Gramps would try to get me to go out and swim and play with him but I always stayed inside because I was afraid the bees would sting me and I'd get sick. One summer when I was about your age, seven, I went to his farm and I wasn't looking forward to being there. But he had a surprise for me, he'd built a special room for me and him. It was a huge addition to his house, like a barn connected to one side. He loved the outdoors so the ceiling was painted like the sky and had this special paint that glowed in the dark so that at night, it looked like the stars were shining in the sky. It was beautiful. There was a door leading from my bedroom to this paradise. Gramps and I would go out there and we'd spend hours together. He even had a swimming pool in there. It was a dug into the ground. I don't know how deep but deep enough to swim. It looked like a lake in the woods. That's where he taught me to swim. He had all these roses and special flowers in there. I loved it. He taught me all about nature and I eventually overcame by fear of being stung by bees and we just went out to the regular lake.

She looked over and Robin was sound asleep. She laid her head down on the pillows and left her to rest. She smiled as she left remembering the good times with her Grandfather Ian.

Later

Robert came in early with more fever reducer and Doctor Monica Quartermaine.

H: Robert? What are you doing home so early? Hello Monica.

M: Holly. How's Robin?

H: Still feverish but sleeping.

R: Well I got worried so I left the office and ran into Monica and asked her to come check on Robin.

H: Well then, come with me.

They went upstairs and Monica examined Robin.

M: Her fever is at 102 but all other signs say she's healthy and she'll beat this fever. Sometimes it takes a few days.

R: You sure?

H: Robert! She's a doctor of course she's sure.

M: (laughing) It's fine. I always question the doctor when one of my kids is sick. And Alan hates it when I question him.

H: Would you like some tea?

M: No thank you. I should get to the hospital. Just keep giving her the fever medicine and I'll talk to Alan to see if there's something we may be able to give her to help with the fever if it keeps hanging on. Sometimes he hears about new drugs before I do. But if she's had the fever for at least four days, I'd give it twenty four more hours. If it's not gone by this time tomorrow, bring her to General Hospital.

R: Thank you Monica.

H: Yes thank you for coming all the way over here.

Monica left and Robert felt a bit of relief.

R: So would you like to grab a nap while I take over for our little patient?

Holly smiled at him and kissed him softly.

H: I wouldn't mind going to bed if you came with me.

R: Holly. I came home so you can get some rest.

H: Well you know how that always helps me to sleep.

She kissed him again and he was too weak to her charms to resist. He lifted her up and carried her up the steps to their bedroom. He put her down on the bed and she pulled him on top of her. They lay there refamiliarizing themselves with the other. Robin had been sick for four days now and they were both so worried about her that they just hadn't had time for each other.

R: I've missed you.

H: Then show me how much.

He covered her lips with his and let his tongue invade her mouth. He slipped it in and out as if his tongue were making love to her. The heat in her body was quick to rise. It seemed to her that when he touched her her inner body temperature went off the charts. This man drove her to the brink of ecstasy. No one else had ever had an effect on her like Robert Scorpio. He reached up and squeezed the soft mound of flesh that called out to him from under her blouse. She closed her eyes and moaned as the pleasure took her to new heights. He kissed each one through the sheer material of the blouse and again she moaned low. Before they could go any further they heard a tiny voice cry out,

"Mama. Mama." Holly got up to go to her.

R: Holly you stay here and I'll go.

H: It's alright. I'll go.

They both got up and went to check on her. Robin was still burning up and calling out for her mother who was nowhere to be found.

H: Robert you stay with her and I'll get her some fresh, cold water.

He went inside and sat down beside her, wiping her head with a cloth. He'd only been a father for a short time and was still not sure what to do for a sick kid. Holly came in with the cool water and a new bottle of fever reducer.

H: Robert, you heard what Monica said. She'll be fine. Here, take this water and give her a cool drink.

They gave her medicine and water and despite what Holly said she was worried about her.

R: Well you think she'll sleep now?

H: I think I'll sit with her.

R: Holly. I'll stay for a bit you go get some sleep.

H: No I think I'd rather stay with her. I've been singing to her and telling her stories. She may wake up and want another.

R: Singing huh? Well I guess then you better be the one. I can't sing a note.

H: Besides Robert, you have to work tomorrow. Go get some rest. We'll be fine.


Later

Robert came into Robin's room

R: Holly I've got dinner, come eat.

H: Dinner? I'm sorry Robert I forgot all about it.

R: It's fine Luv. It was no trouble.

She wiped Robin's head one more time and they went downstairs.

H: Robert something smells wonderful. I didn't realize how hungry I was till I smelled that.

R: It was nothing.

She sat down and took the cover off one of the dishes.

H: Nothing huh? No trouble? I'll say. You ordered this from the Versaille Room.

R: Well you don't wanna be laid up with food poisoning do you?

H: Good point. I've tasted your cooking.

They laughed and ate and spent some time together but soon Holly went up to check on Robin. It was getting late and that's when the worry set in. They stood there looking at her.

H: Robert I'm going to stay here tonight.

R: Holly you've been staying in here since she got sick.

H: I know. I just don't like to leave her alone too long when she's not well.

R: Well where exactly do you sleep?

H: In the chair but I haven't really been sleeping that much.

Robert kissed her and walked across the hall to their room. Holly sat wiping Robin's head and listening to the noise he was making. He came back in shortly after and smiled.

R: Holly it's time to get some sleep.

H: Robert I don't wanna leave her.

R: I don't either so I fixed it where we'll be able to sleep and be right here if she needs us.

Holly looked at him with a questionable look as he motioned for her to come to the door. She stepped to him and laughed at the sight.

H: Robert, what is all this?

R: I don't like to sleep without you and I don't like the idea of you sleeping in an uncomfortable chair.

Holly smiled as she looked at their mattress laying in the hall next to Robin's door.

H: Robert (kisses him lightly) that's so sweet.

R: I'm glad you think so now let Robin rest while she can and let's get some sleep. We'll be right here all of ten feet away if she needs us.

Holly couldn't say no to such a jester.

H: Well help me down then. You might wanna make sure you stay close 'cause I may not be able to get back up by myself.

He helped her down on the mattress and followed closely behind her.

R: I don't plan on being more than a kiss away, ever.

They lay acting like teenagers in the backseat of daddy's car kissing and touching things unseen. They snuggled close and talked about being parents to this newly discovered daughter and how both would like to someday soon give her a younger brother or sister to grow up with. The conversation slowly dwindled as they drifted off to sleep with her head on his chest, his arms encircling her. He didn't mind because he knew she was tired.


The Next Morning
Their Mattress

They lay next to each other holding hands as they slept. The morning light unable to wake them hidden there in the hall. Neither of them wanted to wake up or let the other go but sometimes there's no other choice. They were sleeping good when they felt the tiny bundle jump inbetween them.

R: Oh!

Holly's eyes quickly opened and a smile came across her face.

H: Robin!

Rn: Good morning. How come you two are sleeping in the hall?

R: Because we wanted to be near you.

Rn: Why?

H: Because you've been very sick for the last four days.

Rn: You slept in the floor for four days? (her expression was one of wonderment)

H: No. Your father didn't get this bright idea until last night. I've slept in the chair next to your bed.

She laid down between them.

Rn: I had a funny dream.

R: What was it?

Rn: That the sky was my ceiling.

Holly smiled knowing that was bits and pieces of her childhood that seeped in while she was feverish.

H: Are you hungry?

Rn: Very. I could eat two breakfasts.

R: Two? Little pig.

Robert started tickling her and she laughed.

H: How about I make us some flapjacks and bacon?

Rn: What's a flapjack?

R: Here they call them pancakes.

Rn: Mmmmmm, then I love flapjacks then.

Holly went to make them breakfast relieved that the child they'd both come to love was back to herself.


FIVE YEARS LATER


Robin was happy living with her father and Holly. She didn't see much of her mother Anna but somehow it didn't really matter anymore. She was eleven years old now. She loved school and she loved her father and she loved Holly. Life was good for her. She came home from school early and found Holly laying on the couch.

Rn: Holly? Holly?

She didn't answer and that sorta scared her. She called her dad at the Police Department after calling 9-1-1. Something was definitely wrong.

2 hours later

Robert watched as Holly lay in their bed, restless, burning up with fever.

Rn: Dad is she going to be okay?

R: Yes sweetheart. She'll be fine. Alan said it was a bad virus and it'd just have to work it's way out of her system.

Rn: I wanna stay home and take care of her. Can I?

Robert wanted to say no she needed to be in school. He wanted to hire a full time nurse to care for her but how could he with Robin looking at him like that? He couldn't very well tell her no.

R: I'll call your teacher and see about getting your school work for a week. No more.

Rn: What if she's not better in a week?

R: Nice try. Alan said seven to ten days and it's hard to tell how long she's had this already. I'm going to call Kelly's and see if I can get them to bring us some chicken soup.

Rn: You don't have to. I can make it. I've seen Holly do it a hundred times.

R: You sure?

Rn: Positive. I helped her last time you were sick. And you just had a cold.

R: What's that look mean?

Rn: That you're a bigger baby than I am. I'll go see if we have the stuff for soup.

She ran off to the kitchen and Robert laughed. She was right he was a big baby when he was sick. Holly though seldom complained of any ache or pain. He looked at her there so helpless. He wiped her face with a cool cloth then kissed her on the forehead.

R: We'll get you well Holly.


Several days later

Robert came in early from work to see how things were going. He looked around and didn't see Robin downstairs. He went up to the bedroom and found her with Holly.

R: How's our patient today?

Rn: She's doing good Dad. Her fever broke earlier and she's eating some soup.

Holly was sitting in the bed looking much better than before.

H: Hello there.

Robert kissed her sweetly.

R: You look much better. How do you feel?

H: I feel better. I understand I've had the best care in town.

Robin smiled.

R: You have at that. We just may have a doctor on our hands.

Rn: Would you like something else Holly?

H: I'm fine. That was very good Robin.

R: She made it herself.

H: Good job. I'm proud of you. Robin did you tell me stories while I was out?

Rn: Sometimes just like you've always done for me. I played a song I found about the Painted Sky and I read you "Little Red Robin Hood". Remember that one?

H: (smiling) I do. I used to love reading that for you. I thought I kept hearing a song about the painted sky.

R: Don't you mean Little Red Riding Hood?

Rn: Holly would always change the words and make it special for me. I tried to change it for you too.

R: So you read her Little Red Holly Wood?

Rn: Yes Dad that's how it came out.

Robin picked up the tray.

Rn: If you're sure you don't want anything else I'm going to put the dishes in the dishwasher and see about fixing dinner.

R: Robin. How about we order from Kelly's and give you a break?

Rn: Okay. I'll be back.

She left looking all grown up.

H: She's something isn't she?

R: She is. She took very good care of you staying home from school to do so.

H: Robert you let her miss school?

R: Her teacher sent the work for her to do. She's kept up with all her studies. She's an amazing kid.

Holly kissed his hand.

H: She is. I'm glad she's with us.

R: Is there anything you need?

H: I think I need a shower and maybe to change these sheets and blankets. And possibly to get out of this bed for a bit.

R: Well I'll gladly help with the shower if you'd like. Just don't over do it. It's been a while for you.

She smiled.

H: I'd like that very much. I'm not sure I can reach my back, being so weak and all.

Robin had returned and was outside and heard most of that. She shook her head and smiled. This was a good sign that her parents were back to normal.They were like breeding rabbits always going at each other. Most kids she supposed would be put off by their parents always hugging and kissing and disappearing to fool around but she didn't mind. It just told her they were happy with each other. They loved each other and in all the time she'd lived with them she never once felt neglected because of it. She hoped she found someone someday that made her feel like a rabbit on a mission.

She stepped back from the door,

Rn: Dad! I'll be in my room if you need me!

R: Okay sweetheart!

She went to call her best friend Sarah and talk on the phone for a bit. She hadn't done that in a week. She needed to make up some me time. Besides she didn't think they'd miss her for the next hour or so.

I wanted to say that I read all of these since my last visit and they're really good. They'd probably be better if I watched the soaps they're from. Still though, the writing it superb from all of the authors.

This one shot takes places after Reid tells Luke I love you in the hospital parking lot. This one shot is dedicated to my friend Jessie and all of the other fans of Reid and Luke who were devasted that Reid was Killed off the show to save Chris Hughes. Reid and Luke and their awesome fans deserved to have a happy ending for Reid and Luke.

As the World Turns Reid and Luke

I Love You, there I said it

Reid is driving home from Bay City with the heart for Chris Hughes. Reid can't stop thinking about Luke and the fact that he told Luke I love you in the hospital parking lot before he left to get the heart for Doogie Hughes. Reid wants to be along with Luke so that they can finally make love. Meanwhile, Luke has fallen asleep in a chair in the waiting room while waiting with Katie and the rest of the Hughes family for Reid to come back with the heart for Chris. Reid pulls up in the parking lot of the hospital, parks his car, locks it and runs into the hospital. Reid hands the heart over to John Dixon who rushes it into the operating room. Reid walks over to the waiting room and smiles seeing Luke asleep in the chair, Reid walks over to Luke and snaps his fingers in front of Lukes face and says, "Wake up Richie Rich. I gave the heart for Chris over to John Dixon."

Luke wakes up and smiles,"I missed you Reid. I am so happy you are back."

Reid helps Luke up from the chair. Reid hugs Luke and kisses him passionately.

Reid smiles," Let's blow this popsicle stand. I want to be alone with you."

Luke whispers,"I want to be alone with you too Reid but we should stay here with Katie until Chris comes out of surgery."

Katie smiles,"I will be fine. You both deserve some time alone with each other. I will call you when Chris gets out of surgery."

Reid and Luke both smile and say, "Are you sure Katie?"

Katie smiles,"Yes, I am sure. I love you both. Now get out of here before I change my mind."

Reid grabs Luke's hand and they walk out of the hospital holding hands to Reid's car. Reid smiles,"I am hungry for a pizza."

Luke smiles,"So am I Reid. Let's pick up a pizza from Pizza Hut. I don't want the pizza delivery man to interrupt us this evening."

Reid smiles," That sounds like a great idea Richie Rich."

Reid and Luke arrive at Katie and Reid's apartment 30 minutes later with a pizza for dinner. Reid and Luke walk into the kitchen with the pizza. Luke sits down at the kitchen table while Reid grabs some plates and beers, then he sits down at the table across from Luke. Reid and Luke are staring at each other while they are eating their pizza. Reid smiles,"I love you Richie Rich. I want you right now."

Luke smiles,"I love you to Reid. I want you too Reid."

Reid puts his slice of pizza down on his plate and gets up from the table, grabs Luke's hand and helps him up from the table. Reid and Luke walk into Reid's room. Reid shuts the door behind them, walks towards Luke and kisses him passionately. Reid and Luke very slowly remove their clothes. After Reid and Luke remove their clothes, they stare at each other for several minutes.

Reid whispers, "I want you Richie Rich."

Luke whispers,"I want you too Reid."

Reid takes Luke by the hand and walks him over to the bed. Reid and Luke get in bed, and they cover each other with the blanket. Reid and Luke very slowly and tenderly make love to each other for the first time giving themselves completely to each other. Reid and Luke are snuggling, holding hands and trying to catch their breaths after they made love when Luke smiles and whispers,"Reid, are you sorry we waited so long to make love?"

Reid smiles,"No Richie Rich, I am not sorry we waited to make love. It was well worth the wait."

Luke smiles,"I Love you Reid."

Reid smiles,"I Love you too Richie Rich."

Reid's cell phone rings. Reid gets up to answer his cell phone. Katie tells Reid that Chris's heart transplant was a sucess and the that John Dixon expects Chris to make a full recovery. After Reid gets off the phone with Katie he walks back over to Luke and tells him that Chris's heart transplant was a success and that he will make a full recovery.

Reid and Luke fall asleep in each others arms holding hands after they made love again. They are soo grateful that Chris Hughes heart transplant was a success.

Reva and Josh one shot (Guiding Light)

Reva and Josh were going to celebrate their 25 wedding Anniversary. Their children were all grown up, and the Grandchild were all grown too. Reva and Josh were both retired, and were in a senior building , they couldn't take care of running a house anymore. They had a tiny apartment, with a balcony, they spent every waking hour together. They were so afraid they would lose each other, they didn't think they could go on without the other. Josh was in the kitchen making a sandwich for the two of them. Reva's cancer returned twice, and she fought it so bravely. It returned again, and the Doctors said this time there was nothing they could do. They went through the chemo but the cancer spread, they gave her a few months to live. They both didn't want to think about it. They wanted to live life like they had no worries. Josh would do everything for Reva, he didn't really want strangers taking care of her. It was taking a toll on Josh, but he was there for Reva every step of the way. Josh's heart wasn't good, and the Doctors were worried that the stress could end Josh's life before Reva's.

Josh yelled out to Reva, "I'm coming Reva, I made your favourite egg salad". She didn't answer, Josh walked out to the balcony he saw her eyes shut, he thought she was sleeping at first. He walked over, "Reva wake up , your lunch is ready". She didn't move, he sat down touching her hand, and he just knew he lost the love of his life. He started to cry, as he kissed her hand. "Reva no it is to soon, we were going to see the kids on your birthday". He looked at her, she was so beautiful, he touched her face, and pulled her close. He leaned her back, and got up he was in shock. He phoned 911 and the owners of the senior home, telling them what happened. He called Jonathon, Marah, Shane, and Dylan. He hung up, and walked out to the balcony, and sat in the chair next to Reva, he pulled her into his arms.

He whispered, "Reva I'm here, don't you worry". He shut his eyes, and he swore he could hear Reva say, "Bud"

"Reva OMG your ok, you scared me". Josh saw Reva she put her hand out to him, he put his hand into hers. He smiled as he brought his lips over hers, and she whispered, "Just like us to do everything together"

"What Reva"?

She turned, he was shocked he was talking to Reva, but he looked at the chairs, seeing them both sitting in the chairs, in each others arms.

"Reva what is going on"?

She looked toward a bright light, Josh was in a trance. He was dead he died right after he called the kids. He wanted to be with Reva more than ever but the children would be devastated. They heard the Paramedics, and the Manager run in, they run over to Reva, and Josh. They tried to revive them, without any luck. Josh, and Reva watched but turned toward the light, Reva held his hand. She smiled, "Forever Bud"

"Yes Reva, Forever".

Marah, Shane, Jonathon, and Dylan, and the Grandchildren buried their Parents, and Grandparents that week. They were devastated , but they were at peace knowing they were together, and the knowledge, they died together moments after each other just proved to everyone, love crosses all boundaries, they vowed to be together forever, and they died together as well.

Some Kind Of Miracle... ♥

Auburn curls framed her withdrawn, pale cheekbones as the tears streamed down her face.

Memories of the horrific night almost 20 years ago haunted her, the heart-stopping emotion still caused her to lose a breath when she contemplated the loss to the world, her world.

Did that drunken driver contemplate the same? She often wondered. Did they acknowledge what they had taken from her? A thoughtless act had caused her to lose her child, the 7 year old little girl who brightened her world every day with such a pretty smile and infectious laugh.


Emotionally exhausted from the nights event, Barbara Jean Spencer lingered in the doorway of her 2 year old granddaughters hospital room and observed the fair-haired little girl. It wasn’t often BJ’s death suffocated her like this, of course her daughter had never left her thoughts since she died, but never had the heartache returned with such a vengeance.

“Hello, sweetheart.” Leaning over her granddaughters hospital cot, Bobbie draped her right hand over the rails of the hospital cot and affectionately stroked Josslyn’s cheek. Instantly, Josslyn acknowledged the contact and, recognising her grandmother, her face brightened with her mothers smile, “Hi there, beautiful.” The auburn haired nurse smoothed her manicured nails through Josslyn’s soft, thin blonde curls and admired the little girl with appreciation, wonder and gratitude.

A stranger couldn’t possibly identify how close little Josslyn had inched to death, hospitalized with a life-threatening, not to mention rare, former of cancer and tonight her life had been saved thanks to a heroic yet heartbreaking decision.

Not a soul, other than perhaps the deceased Dr Tony Jones, could appreciate the turmoil Lucky Spencer and Elizabeth Webber faced in the fast-paced seconds they had been allowed to contemplate removing their son from life support to save Josslyn’s life but Bobbie more than understood, she identified because, in fact, she made the exact same decision.


In May 1994, with ailing, four year old Maxie Jones suffering in the hospital from a rare heart disease, Bobbie had ached over the acceptance her young, carefree niece could be taken from this world.

However, like Josslyn, Maxie’s saviour appeared like a guardian angel in the form of BJ’s death from a drunk-driving accident and, like Jake, BJ’s injuries had been too severe, her life had ended. So, with Tony’s plea, Bobbie struggled to scrape all of her courage together and consent her daughters removal from life-support and allow Maxie her cousins heart.

Overwhelmed with emotion once more, the tears escaped the rims of her eyes and rolled down her cheek as a heart-wrenching, unwilling sob escaped her lips until the voice distracted her thoughts, “Mama…?”


“Mom…” Carly Jacks edged inside the hospital room, gently closing the door behind her shut.

The two women, mother and daughter, share a momentarily glance before falling into an embrace and as more tears fell from her mothers eyes, Carly gently rubbed her back, “I’m sorry…” Bobbie blinked tears away and wiped them from her face.

Her daughter frowned, shaking her head, “It’s ok. I guess you heard the news about Jake?”

“Yeah,” Bobbie nodded her head in confirmation. “I was in the ER when they brought him in. I couldn’t believe it -” Promptly bursting into tears once again, she struggled to continue, “It’s incredible. I’ve seen so many accidents since… but when I saw Jake and I heard he’d been in an accident -” she shakily inhaled, “I instantly thought of her.”

“BJ?” Carly posed a suggestion, already knowing her adopted half sister could be the only one Bobbie would cry over this way and Bobbie nodded, attempting to calm herself.

“I saw Lucky and Elizabeth just a moment ago, they told me about the transplant and I had to see her,” Bobbie returned most of her attention back to Josslyn, who remained in her hospital cot, shooting her grandmother a glance of intrigue. “She’s your little miracle, Carly, and she’s so special but I’m not telling you anything you don’t know for yourself.” She flicked her curls from her face, “You fought so hard for your little girl and I’m very happy that Josslyn will be alright. I’ve waited long enough for a granddaughter, I don’t intend to let her leave this world before I do,” she lightened the conversation.

Carly smiled, “I know. And I know you haven’t had much time to spend with her, with your schedule at the hospital and mine at the Metro Court, not to mention everything with Michael, it’s been so hectic.”

Bobbie side-glanced at her daughter, “Come to think of it, I really haven’t spent much time with any of my grandchildren.”

“Well, I think that needs to change. You know, Morgan’s actually been picking at me a lot about when he’ll see his grandma so perhaps you should come over to the house and visit, especially once Josslyn’s home because she’s missed her grandma lots as well.” Reaching inside the hospital cot, Carly lifted Josslyn into her arms and Bobbie ran her fingers through the little girls blonde curls with a small smile, “She’s such a miracle and I will be forever grateful to Lucky and Elizabeth for what they did for her tonight, just like Mac and Felicia have always been grateful to Tony and to you.”

“Is this the end of your feud with Elizabeth?” Bobbie quizzed.

The blonde exhaled with relief, “After what Elizabeth did for Josslyn, she could commit murder and I would stand to defend her at the trial. I don’t know how she made the decision to sacrifice Jake for Josslyn, I don’t know how you made the decision to do the same with BJ for Maxie but I am so grateful, and so in awe. I love you so much, mom.”

Wrapping her arms around her daughter, Bobbie tenderly kissed Carly’s cheek and smiled at Josslyn, “I love you too, both of you with all of my heart.”

This is really a missing scene for me, the Jake dies/ Josslyn's transplant was so much like BJ's death/ Maxie's heart transplant that Bobbie should've at least been permitted a scene to reminisce on BJ but the writers didn't so I figured I would. Hope you liked it, thanks for reading!

Lindsay, that one shot was beautiful. I actually saw the commercials for that Jake storyline and watched it. (I hadn't seen GH in years) I cried, it was so sad. I felt for poor Jason. He's had such a hard way to go on GH. I really wanted him to kill Luke but of course he didn't. And I was asking where the hell was Bobbi in all that? I had no idea of the crap that was going on with the older members of the show not being used or fired or whatever. I didn't even know that Alan had died on there. Anyway, that storyline with BJs death was one of the saddest ever written and so beautifully played by everyone involved in it. Especially the part when Lucy told Felicia that BJ was hurt and brain dead. OMG! Cried buckets that day. Thinking of it can still bring tears. Lynn Herring was amazing in that scene. As was Kristina Wagner.

I could see this scene being played out. Loved it. I think that Emmy is now yours. Very, very nicely done.

Luke was at the Snyder Pond, they were having a BBQ with Family, and friends. Luke invited Reid, but he didn't think he would show up. Luke was greeting all the guests, and he was really disappointed that Reid didn't come. He saw Katie's car, and he smiled as Katie, Chris and Jacob got out of the car. Jacob ran over to Luke, "Hi I'm here for the BBQ"

"Great it is great to see you Buddy, have you seen your Uncle Reid around"?

"Uncle Reid yeah he was over this morning why"?

"Oh nothing, why don't you go over, and see Ethan and Natalie, they would love to see you". Jacob ran over, Chris walked over, "Hi Luke thanks for inviting me, and Katie"

"Your welcome, why don't you go over, and grab something to eat, there is tons of food".

Chris walked over, Katie smiled, "How are you Luke"?

"Great Katie"

"You seem down, is it because of a certain Doctor"?

"No Katie, I'm fine, I just thought he might show up"

"Well I have a feeling he might, he came over asking my opinion"

"You told him to come"?

"Well yes, he is a little nervous around your Parents, and some of the other people."

"Why"?

"Oh he is just being Reid, lets hope he comes, but lets go get a burger, I'm starving". They were walking away, when Luke turned seeing a car stop.

"Oh it's Reid Luke, go to him, I will go tend to Jacob". Katie walked away, Luke walked over to Reid. He smiled as Reid got out of the car wearing black jeans, and a white T-shirt. He took Luke's breath away, he was so sexy, and those jeans fit him perfectly.

"Luke I came, I wouldn't turn away a chance to have some of Emma's food"

"Oh that is the only reason you came Reid"?

"No Jacob wanted me to come, I didn't want to disappoint him"

"Oh Reid you are something, what about me"?

'Oh Richie Rich I came to see you too". Luke moved close, and Reid smiled, "What if your family sees Luke, you were worried before"?

"I don't care Reid, all I care about is being with you. Oh man you look hot in those jeans".

"Luke Snyder that is bad, but you look pretty hot too"

"Oh the sun is getting to us Reid"

"No it isn't the sun, it is us, we were meant to be together".

Luke brought his lips over Reid's, and they kiss. Reid touched his face, and smiled, "Oh that was sweet, but kiss me like you mean it". Luke pulled Reid close, and they kissed so passionately, than he smiled, "how was that"?

"Oh that was a kiss". Reid smiled, as Luke reached out his hand, and they walked over to the BBQ. Everyone smiled, Reid ran over lifting up Jacob.

"Hey buddy, how are you"?

"Good I just ate a hot dog with mustard".

"Yum Buddy, lets go get another one". Reid walked over to Holden who was at the BBQ. Luke watched, oh the view from behind was something, Luke laughed to himself. Chris walked over, "What do you see in him Luke"?

"What Chris are you talking about Reid"?

"Yeah it is obvious, you like the guy, why"?

"Chris Reid is amazing, look at him, who wouldn't find that appealing"?

"Me". Luke smiled, "What does Katie see in you"?

"Nice Luke I didn't put you down"

"I know, I love Reid, you love Katie, leave it at that". Reid walked over, "Hey Doogie Hughes"

"Hey Reid, I see you are as pleasant as always"

"Yeah don't you love me"?

"No"

"Good I feel the same way, but I love Katie, and Jacob be good to them"

"I am don't worry"

"Oh I will always worry about them".

"Yeah I know Katie said you would". Reid smiled, "That is my girl"

"She is my girl Reid"

"Yeah Doogie, whatever". Chris laughed, as everyone walked over to the pond for a swim. Everyone brought their swimsuits, but Reid didn't. He was standing watching everyone swimming when Luke walked over wrapping his arms around him.

"You should have brought your swim trunks, you can borrow one of mine if you like"?

"They wouldn't fit, but thanks anyway"

"Maybe later me and you can swim when everyone is gone home"

"I forgot my swim trunks remember"

"Yeah I remember, that would make it more fun".

"You are bad Luke, you really have to watch out for the innocent ones"

"I'm not innocent Reid, what do you say"?

"Well we will see later, I'm going up there to get a soda". Reid was walking up the hill.

"Nice view from here Reid". Luke was laughing

Reid turned around, and smiled, as Luke watched him walk up the hill, in his amazing black jeans.
