Lucy's such a little minx.
I fancy doing this again sometime soon!
I’m Your Baby Tonight
Whatever you want from me I’m giving you everything I’m your baby tonight
She needed him, craved him. Such desire held in her heart, such passion in her soul for him. And she often wondered if she felt like that for him because she knew it was against the rules.
His hands roamed over her body and slid underneath angelic-white, low-cut dress. All alone in Southern France; one of the most romantic spots in the continent, they released themselves of all self-control and fell into an embrace.
The telephone rang in the background and it felt like an echoed sound, as if it weren’t meant for them.
“Ignore it,” Mark pleaded.
So she did exactly that. Who could it have been? Bobby? If it were important, perhaps about Christopher, the phone calls would persist more than once and if it weren’t about her son, then it couldn’t have been important.
For now, she didn’t care much for her husband and his ridiculous pride as Jock Ewing’s son. How many months had he ignored her for? His interest had only peaked since her friendship with Mark Graison, and that’s all it was; friendship. Mark had been the first person to make her really laugh since her mother’s death. He allowed her to smile again.
Wasn’t it only right she return the favour? She removed the phone from the hook and cancelled the call, “I’m all yours…”
Pretty Girl Rock
All eyes on me when I walk in No question that this girl’s a ten Don’t hate me ‘cause I’m beautiful
Sue Ellen Shepard eyed the pitiful competition and let her lips form a triumphant smirk, one she had no doubt inherited from her mother, who Sue Ellen often believed creating the meaning of devious.
Baby soft skin at a luxurious, porcelain tone, hazel eyes you could swim in and auburn-brunette curls to compliment her luscious, plump lips decorated with a fuchsia pink. Her long, thick lashes were emphasised with minimal mascara and a peach coloured dress boasted her feminine physique to the world.
Little girls paraded before her and Sue Ellen snickered. Were they really competition? She wasn’t worried.
Her mind stopped, pre-warning her not to become too catty toward other contestants, inwardly or outwardly; Lord knows, she had once felt intimidated by other girls when she first entered the beauty circuit.
“You’re on next,” the stage director informed.
One deep breathe, thirty seconds later, Sue Ellen proudly made her entrance with a strut that complimented her 3-inch heels, rather than allowed them to overpower her confidence, like many girls before had done.
Bright lights in her direction didn’t disturb her from noticing the blue eyes that gazed in her direction. A smile crept on his face like it did with any man ever greeted with her presence. And she wandered across the stage to let it pass by her mind; little did she know those eyes would soon be more than a stranger to her…
My Kind Of Love
When you never thought that it could ever get this tough That’s when you feel my kind of love
Pamela buried her face into the pillow and sobbed. In that one moment, in a visit with Cliff and Rebecca, she had almost forgotten her mother had ever left her behind. It pained her to think she had slowly lost her mind and any sense of herself.
A knock from the door alerted her and she composed, “Come in…?”
She had expected Dr Conrad, maybe one of the nurses but her brother entered. He was alone this time with a sympathetic expression across his face and Pamela looked at him, like a lost little girl. Immediately, she felt suspicion. Why did she always feel like that? She realised how far apart they had drifted since her marriage. “Hi.”
“Cliff…?” She sounded relieved.
No words needed to be spoken. Many believed Cliff didn’t have much of a heart, nor cared for anyone but himself, but she knew this wasn’t true in her heart. Her brother had once been like her husband, he had once been her hero until all of the bitterness from their father finally drove him into a mad kind of obsession. Like Digger had done, Cliff had succeeded in driving almost everyone away from him, in his desperate vendetta against the Ewing’s, namely JR.
He leaned on the edge of the bed and opened his arms, “It’s okay,” he promised, as she fell into them. Perhaps Cliff did have a selfish streak, but no matter what, he was always there when she really needed him.
I Need A Dollar
I had some good old buddy His name is Whiskey and Wine And for good old buddy I spent my last dime
Jock Ewing watched in disappointment as Digger Barnes crashed to the floor from the bar stool. What had happened to the reliable friend had once acquainted himself with other a bottle of Whiskey? Apparently, he had fallen into it.
Slowly, unsteadily, Digger rose from the floor and pointed a crooked finger in Jock’s direction. “You’ve cheated me.”
“You cheated yourself, Barnes!” Jock growled.
“That company, it’s MINE. I’m the rightful owner. One day, I’ll see to it that everyone knows it.” The drunk bellowed with a slur on his words as the bar attempted to muffle out the sound of his booming voice near the bar edge. “Just like one day Eleanor will see that she doesn’t belong to you. She’s mine! Not yours,” he scowled.
The taller man scoffed in disgust, “You’re selfish, selfish to the core, Barnes. Ellie doesn’t belong to anyone but herself and no one makes decisions for her when she’s capable of making them.” Jock flicked a $100 bill at the barman, “Make sure he finds a ride home tonight, understand?” The barman nodded in confirmation and Jock made his exit from the bar, furious and frustrated by Digger and his attitude toward work.
Digger steadied himself and reached over the bar for the money, “Hand it over…?” At the barman’s refusal, Digger gritted his teeth, curled his fist into a ball and slammed it down.
Finally, as a wave of calm washed over him, Digger chuckled to himself and approached the group of women in the corner of the bar and knelt to their feet. “How much for a version of “Yellow Rose of Texas”? You ain’t never heard anything like it…”
Born This Way
I’m beautiful in my way ‘Cause God makes no mistakes I’m on the right track Baby I was born this way
Ray Krebbs eyed his daughter pride. It pained him, ashamed him to think he could ever have considering ridding himself of the beautiful soul that had entered his life but pure luck.
People didn’t think her to be normal, JR made snide comments, the Ewing’s ‘friends’ found it difficult to be in her presence but it only proved Ray’s opinion; they were no more than ignorant.
Margaret Lillian Krebbs was perfect. He and Donna were proud the day she was born, they would be until their death.
She had taught him to love himself; something, as a middle-aged man, Ray didn’t expect to accomplish from himself. And she taught him because she knew how important it was. A downs’ syndrome child needed to understand self-love and she really did thanks to Donna. Not only did she understand it, she used her own experience to help others.
At another “Born This Way” convention, Margaret once again spoke of the importance of acceptance within social circles, the mental and emotional affects, as well as the physical.
And while still a ranchman, Ray found himself to be important in a way he had never imagined. All his life he had searched for self-worth and as one of the founders of “Born This Way”, through his daughter, he had found just that.
A Change Is Gonna Come
It’s been too hard livin’ But I’m afraid to die ‘Cause I don’t know what’s up there Beyond the sky
She wanted to die. But she couldn’t even do that.
“You’re useless…” Sue Ellen screamed at her reflection. Suddenly, it became obvious that everything JR had ever said was all the truth. What did she ever think made her more special than any other woman? Yes, she was beautiful. But beauty would always fade and Sue Ellen Ewing didn’t go any deeper than skin.
Her hands slipped open and the sleeping pills slid down the drain. After much debate, she had concluded it was the least painful way to leave but she still didn’t have the strength to make it happen. She was still terrified of the future.
Cries from her new-born son alerted her attention, until the soothing voice of Pamela calmed him. She shook her head. She couldn’t even take care of her son. Supposedly, for years, she had been so desperate for a child that she had driven herself into a frenzy of alcohol and insanity but, when provided with her second chance, she had already destroyed it at a mere 6 weeks.
“I hate you…” she seethed. “I hate you…” Her anger rose.
“Sue Ellen…?” The sound of her husband’s voice shook her back into the living and Sue Ellen rapidly checked her watch to find it was almost 6pm. “Mama said you were home. Are you here?”
“Give me a moment, JR.” His wife called back and she brushed the streaks of mascara from her cheeks and ran her hands through her curls. She couldn’t escape this hell. She needed to believe one day, someday it would all change for the better.
9 To 5
Working 9 to 5 For service and demotion You would think that I would deserve a fair promotion
Louella dragged herself from her husband’s arms, forced herself awake with a cold shower and changed for work.
How she loved to work for Ewing Oil… Her career aspirations were answered, not to mention her childhood dreams. She had always had the girlish hopes of a wealthy, romantic man sweeping her from her feet and JR did just that. At least, he had in the start. Now, it seemed he wasn’t interested.
Still, JR graced her with compliments; “What would I do without you?” and “You’re my favourite employee” but Louella saw through it all. She was more than an employee. They both knew it.
Sometimes, it drove her insane how JR would pretend not to notice her or dismiss her like a servant. Then, her memories of him served her well. His arms around her, his irresistible kisses all made it impossible to forget him. Like an itch.
A quick liquid breakfast of black coffee and an hour of busy traffic and Louella made it into work 15 minutes before JR.
As always, Bobby waltzed in and greeted Connie. Moments later, JR arrived and passed Louella’s desk without a word to greet her with. After a sly look from Connie, who Louella would swear knew more than she let on, Louella followed him in and approached the desk with concern. “JR, here are your appointments. Are you alright?”
“Thanks. Yeah, let’s say there’s been a bad start to the day, that’s all.” JR brushed off the topic.
“Oh…” Louella bit her lip, inwardly smiling to herself. Bad mornings for JR were the ones she loved. It meant he was troubled and so early on, it could only have been Sue Ellen to have troubled him, which left JR lusting after affection. “Is there anything you want to talk about…?”
You were giving love she let you down Boy I know that you want to be alone ‘Cause she broke your heart
Katherine Wentworth shook her head, in absolute disgust. And even confusion.
A chance business meeting had led her to the Oil Barons Club where she discovered Bobby, who had been propping up the bar for the previous hours. And Katherine didn’t have to think hard as to why he was so upset.
“I don’t know what to say to you,” Katherine confessed.
“Then don’t say anything,” he slurred back. “Right now, I’d rather be alone as it is.” In his blurred vision, Bobby saw the disappointment flash across her face and exhaled, “It’s not that I don’t appreciate the friendship, but right now, I look at you and all I see is her. And all I want to do is forget.”
“Please don’t beat yourself up like this,” she rubbed his arm. “If Pamela wants to run off with Mark what’s-his-name then it’s not your fault.”
“Graison,” Bobby corrected. “His name’s Graison.”
Katherine tilted her head with a sympathetic expression, “Bobby, I know it might be hard for you to believe but just because she’s my sister, it doesn’t mean I immediately take her side on this. I’ve come to think of you as family, in fact, I feel closer to you than I do with Cliff and he’s my brother! If you need a friend or confidant, don’t dismiss me as Pamela’s sister because I care for you and I would never lie to you.”
“Thank you,” Bobby gratefully nodded.
“C’mon, let me take you home,” she offered. “You look like you’ve been here long enough.”
Hot Like Fire
I know you’ve been waiting a long time for me But if you wait a little while longer This is how it’ll be
JR strolled from his bedroom to the balcony and scowled, “What the hell…?”
“Welcome home, JR.” The voice of his wife came from below him and JR glanced down to the swimming pool, where she looked back at him, her body submerged in the ripples of the water.
Silently, JR waltzed downstairs. The entire family seemed to have disappeared, the house appeared empty and it was 7pm and dinner hadn’t even been prepared; even Raoul and Teresa were absent. “Where the hell is everyone?”
His wife floated toward the edge of the pool, “Bobby and Pam took the boys to Disneyworld for the weekend. Clayton and Miss Ellie have gone to visit Mitch and Lucy in Atlanta. It’s just you and me and I didn’t expect you home from work.” She nodded to his recent absence and JR bowed his head in defiance. “Busy day in the office?”
JR turned from the pool and poured himself a drink from the bar outside. “So, so. Bob never mentioned Disney –” His eyes popped out his head as Sue Ellen’s naked body rose from the pool. “Disneyworld…”
“Last minute decision,” she shrugged.
Her scheme in motion, Sue Ellen acknowledged the lust in her husband’s eyes and slowly approached him, a seductive smile on her lips as her body met his. “It’s been forever since we last had the place to ourselves, hasn’t it?”
He nodded, “Much too long…”
She firmly curled her fingers around his tie and guided him backwards until they splashed into the pool, “Why don’t we make the most of it then?” Sue Ellen suggested, as she slowly removed the clothes from him.
Viva La Vida
I used to rule the world Seas would rise when I gave the word Now in the morning I sleep alone
What had brought him here? How did he find himself trapped?
In the space of one year, he had destroyed the legacy his father created. And all because of the uncontrollable grief, the irreplaceable loss of the man that had guided him from birth.
JR Ewing clung tight to the bottle and curled underneath his sheets. It hadn’t been long ago that he had ridiculed his own wife for being unable to fight her demons, for falling into the bottle and losing herself inside it. Now, he had allowed the same to happen to him.
Pictures of his son decorated the room; John Ross was all he had left. Most would have taken comfort in that, JR found it impossible to take comfort in anything without his father’s presence.
Without Jock, he found no motivation, no point. Not even the legacy, the Ewing name could shake him out of it.
Women, money, oil didn’t matter anymore. All of sudden, he had discovered the meaning of family and that the heart of his family had died, fallen into the bottomless pit of South America, never to be recovered again.
How he missed his father… and found himself pleading for those years back, knowing if he had one last chance that it wouldn’t be wasted like before. Knowing he would have made the man proud of him.
Wowowowow!!! Girl, you're on fire
Loved that you mixed Dolly Parton in - love her and that song. Matches the Louella character perfectly.
I loved these, esp the last one. That's what I played when I wrote my last two JR/SE fics! You did a terrific job with these hope for more from you soon
"I love you, that's all I got." - Rick to Lori
Wow Mrs. S. I love the Lady Gaga Born This Way. That was truly inspiring. You go girl.
1 Don’t Look Down Jennifer Hudson
Open up your mind now baby, don’t be blind, I know you will find, there is no limit to how high we can go if we don’t look down…
“Careful…” Newlyweds Bobby and Pamela Ewing stumbled from the elevator to their penthouse suite in the Four Seasons Hotel and Bobby fumbled in his suit pocket for the room key as Pamela impatiently knocked on the door.
“Honey, no one’s home.” He slurred, finally unlocking the door for them.
He chucked the key across the room and took his bride back into his arms, “You know, it’s nights like these that make me never want to go back home to Dallas.” Since their impromptu wedding, Bobby and Pamela still hadn’t returned to Dallas to the break the ‘good news’ to their families and neither had much courage for it.
From Canada to New York to Las Vegas, the newlyweds had shared a two week, fast-paced honeymoon. “Then we won’t.” His wife replied with a carefree grin. What was there really to call home? Her father had disappeared once again, her aunt Maggie had finally retired and needed to live for herself and Cliff barely noticed whether Pamela was there or not.
Bobby slumped onto the sofa, “Never?”
She pursed her lips, “Maybe in 20 years, when we have children. Maybe in 50 years, with grandchildren?”
He chuckled, “It’s incredible my daddy hasn’t sent a search party for me now, Pam.” His naïve father still believed him to be on the road for Ewing Oil, little did he know the truth.
“Think about all the things we can do on our own…” Pamela seductively offered, plonking herself on his knees as she began to fiddle with his loosened tie and his arms wrapped around her waist. “No ties to Dallas, no commitment to Ewing Oil… all there is, is you, me and that Mercedes Benz on the open road…”
2 Just The Way You Are Bruno Mars
And when you smile, the whole world stops and stares for a while ‘cause girl you’re amazing just the way you are…
Muriel Gillis opened her locker and felt her heart stop when another letter fell from it.
Words begin with ABC. Numbers begin with 123. Music begins with Do Re Mi. And love begins with you and me.
Your Valentine x
The auburn haired teen grabbed her Chemistry books and shuffled along to class with the note in her hand and a quest in her mind as she wondered who could have written the love notes that entered her locker.
She didn’t recognise the writing, which confused her further since she tutored almost half the school. Brad Anderson crossed her mind with their recent conversations in English, or maybe even Andy Ferguson from Math. She pondered it some more, watching everyone she passed for any recognition in their eyes, yet it never came.
As she wandered into Chemistry class, in an effort to identify her love-struck admirer, Lucy watched from her locker with a mischievous smirk and a playful glint in her blue eyes.
3 Nobody Does It Better Pixie Lott
We start and the whole world stops, everyone is watching us, we’re doing it just because nobody does it better…
Jock Ewing flashed another $100 note and the finest Champagne in the house appeared. Eleanor Southworth did her best to appear unimpressed but her true feelings surely shone through her hardened exterior.
After Aaron Southworth had breached the idea of an “arranged marriage” to them, Jock and Eleanor knew they needed to discover their compatibility and so Jock arranged a weekend away from Texas. It was Eleanor’s first and her dreams were answered when the flight landed in Las Vegas. Her father had told many stories of Las Vegas – the glitz, the glamour – but where Jock found the money to pay for it, she wasn’t quite certain.
“Allow me…?” The perfect gentlemen, Jock poured Eleanor another glass and then refilled his own.
“Thank you,” Eleanor nodded.
“You’re welcome.” Their empty plates disappeared from the table and Jock swallowed down his drink in excitement. “You know something, Elle? I think we can make this work.”
She narrowed her eyes, “Not if you call me Elle again, we won’t.”
He chuckled. He knew how much she hated that shortened version of her name. It was probably the reason he called her by that name whenever he could. “Alright, how about… Ellie?” He offered compromise, with a small smirk.
Eleanor pursed her lips, “Alright.” She could live with that. In fact, she was beginning to think she could live with Jock. They had spent the perfect evening together and the weekend had barely begun. They dined, they danced, they had fun; Jock had drawn all and any attention to them and people admired them.
“C’mon,” Jock reached for her hand and left a few more $100 notes for the bill. As they wandered from the restaurant, they came face-to-face with the Paradise strip and Jock bustled Eleanor into the largest casino. “Let’s win some money, eh?” He grinned with excitement and Eleanor couldn’t not smile at the glint in his blue eyes.
She even pictured their first born son with the very same glint in his bright, blue eyes.
4 The Story Of Us Taylor Swift
And I don’t know what to say, since a twist of fate when it all broke down and the story of us looks a lot like a tragedy now…
Frozen in shock, Valene Rogers admired him from across the room of the Oil Barons Ball.
His blonde locks combed back, his pale skin in contrast to his green eyes and handsome lift of his fine cheekbones. Not to mention, the way his lips curled into a pleasant smile whenever his father introduced him to another businessman.
She grasped her husband’s hand and prayed she could avoid him for the night. Yet, another part of her wished that he would see her and immediately recognise her and fall in love all over again. Ashley felt her clutch and wriggled free from it, “Darling, are you alright?”
Valene ignored his question as Gary’s attention fell upon them and she fled from the scene. If Ashley had told her that their weekend away in Texas would include the Dallas Oil Barons Ball, she would have politely refused the offer.
“Oh my God…” Valene attempted to gather her breath.
She hadn’t seen him since their reunion at Southfork, when Lucy brought them back together again. It was the first time she held hope in her heart for their future but it was short-lived as she had feared. Once again, Gary fled from Southfork and JR had her forced from the ranch. Or at least, she could never have lived there with them.
Tears filled her eyes as she emptied her purse for the picture she constantly kept in it. It was her son. Their son. And while he took his paternal great-grandfather’s first name in honour, his surname wasn’t Ewing as it should have been at birth. Aaron James Rogers was almost two years old and the spit of his father and he was also his mother’s secret. Valene let her fingers trace the photograph and shook her head, “It should have been all of us…” How had their sweet and simple school romance turned into such a tragedy?
5 My Humps Black-Eyed Peas
Okay, so I tried SO HARD with this one but it’s impossible to write for so I’m skipping it. Believe me, I did consider ALL the possibilities for it – Miss Ellie drunk and working it at the local strip club? But I thought better of it. LOL.
5 Let’s Get It On Marvin Gaye
There’s nothing wrong with me loving you baby, and giving yourself to me could never be wrong if the love is true…
“JR…?” Sue Ellen Shepard nervously called out for him and angrily cursed him. He had promised to meet her outside before they walked in and he introduced her to his parents. “Damn it,” she swallowed her fear and walked in.
Lights were dimmed, the staff JR talked about were non-existent and a soft tune wandered from an upstairs bedroom. She frowned in confusion, “Is anyone home?” She checked her watch. 6.45pm, she was on the dot. Just 15 minutes before the Ewing’s sat for dinner every night upon his father’s demand.
She considered perhaps she had mixed up the day but JR had called earlier to confirm. “Anyone home?”
A whiff of Lynx approached and Sue Ellen turned towards the stairs where she noticed a flash of skin and instinctively followed it until she found herself upstairs with no sign of anyone at all. “JR Ewing, don’t play games with me!”
“Games, darlin’? I wouldn’t,” JR appeared insulted.
She raised an eyebrow, “Where’s your parents? And I thought we agreed to meet outside first because I’m nervous about tonight…” her voice trailed as she acknowledged JR’s shirtless chest and found herself in drool-mode.
“Change of plans, one of daddy’s old friends is in town for only tonight. Bob’s out on the town, we’re the only ones home.” JR pointed out, “I did try and call but I missed you by a couple minutes.”
Sue Ellen composed herself and found herself suspicious, “Oh, how convenient.” He widened the door to his bedroom and offered her entrance but she declined, shaking her head. “I don’t want to keep you, I’m sure you have work you could be busy with. Let me know when your parents can make another evening –” she began to walk from the bedroom when his hand clasped around hers and pulled her back.
“You’re not leaving so soon, are you?” JR whispered.
“Well, I…” she murmured back. His lips pressed against hers and slowly pulled her back into the bedroom, closing the door once she had entered. “JR…” she called his name with an already breathless voice.
6 The Reason Westlife
I’ve found a reason for me to change who I used to be, a reason to start over new and the reason is you…
Pride overwhelmed JR as he lifted his son for the first time and embraced the little boy in his arms.
From the moment Sue Ellen had fallen pregnant and his paranoid suspicions took control of his heart, JR had done all he could not to love the baby but proof positive allowed him to love without hesitation. John Ross Ewing the third really was his son and heir to the entire Ewing fortune that his father had created.
And the change wouldn’t stop with his son. His father had been right, this was the time to settle down. This was the time to make a change for all of them. It was time to have the same commitment and dedication to his marriage that he had in his work at Ewing Oil.
Oh, he knew how much damage he had caused. But with the arrival of John Ross, surely it wasn’t too late for him and Sue Ellen to make an effort, if only for the sake of their son.
His hand caressed the baby’s dark strands, “You wait and see, John Ross. I’ll win your mama back.” His imagination ran wild with pictures of more children, another son and then a daughter to be as beautiful as her mother ever was.
Sue Ellen walked in, “JR…?”
He smiled at his wife pleasantly, “This is only the beginning for us, sugar.”
6 Unashamed Whitney Houston
What you see is what you get, and I’m unashamed of the life that I lead, unashamed of the strength on my knees…
The Ewing women giggled hysterically as men all over the club laid back in appreciation of the woman that drooled over them – upon Sue Ellen’s mischievous suggestion, the ladies had entered a strip club on their ladies night out.
But Pamela’s attention was drawn elsewhere, as she recognised one of the women. She broke away from the other women and approached from afar to ensure her vision was correct. She watched the topless blonde dance over the bald man’s overweight stomach and let her name slip from her lips, “Jenna.”
Caught off-guard by Pamela, Jenna snapped her head in her direction. The women shared eye-contact before Jenna placed her hands over her breasts and ran backstage.
“HEY!” The bald-headed customer moaned and quickly turned on Pamela, “What’d you do that for? Why don’t you make up for it?” He offered, reaching for Pamela but she smacked his hand away, “Don’t even think about it. Jenna!” Pamela screamed after the woman.
Once backstage of the club, she found Jenna with a full-length robe on. “What the hell are you doing here, Pam?”
Pamela cleared her throat, “I think I should ask you the same question. You work here?” She sounded unable to believe it and Jenna rolled her eyes, irritated and humiliated by the scene.
“Look, I won’t get paid if I don’t get back out there. Can we make this quick?” Jenna pleaded but Pamela remained silent with her mouth dropped open, unable to respond. “Listen, before you make any of your judgements, just know this is the only way I can make an honest buck so I can look after Charlie and I’ve tried every other option. So you can stand there with that look on your face but I’ll sleep easy knowing I’m doing this for my daughter.”
Before she could comprehend, Pamela watched Jenna scramble to get back out amongst the customers.
7 Unfaithful Rihanna
And I know that he knows I’m unfaithful and it kills him inside to know that I am happy with some other guy…
Another application of nude-shaded lipstick and admired her reflection. Her golden locks framed her toned, curved bust and almost reached her waist, a coffee-shaded eye-shadow brightened her green eyes and her skin shimmered.
Her husband studied the patient case notes in the study, his eyes fixated on the medical records that he barely noticed as she slithered downstairs and slipped on her favourite stiletto heels. Or perhaps, that’s what he hoped she would think. She knew he had noticed her presence and knew she prepared to leave. And he knew her destination.
She appeared in the doorway of the study with a full-length coat on, in hopes that he wouldn’t notice her impressive and elegant attire for the night. “Going out again?”
“Sandra called earlier on, I meant to tell you. Harry’s away for the week and Tommy’s at his friends’ for the night. She’s asked me over for dinner and a couple of drinks,” Lucy Cooper lied through her teeth. But Sandra Harris and Lucy had always been close friends, if she needed a cover then Sandra would be smart about it.
Mitch nodded, “I’ll see you later on.”
Lucy smiled back, “If Diana wakes, tell her I’ll be home soon. But I think she’s down for the night.” Diana Cooper – their only child – was the saving grace of their marriage and perhaps the only reason Lucy stayed.
He motioned that he understood and returned his attention to the files, “I love you. Drive careful.”
At the entrance of their home, in preparation to leave for the night, Lucy closed her eyes at the three words. Even though he knew, he still loved and he still cared more than she deserved.
8 Morning Dessert Christina Aguilera
Morning love, time to get ready for work, you might be a little late, I don’t think an hour will hurt…
The alarm beeped and Donna Krebbs rolled over to wake her husband, as he attempted to ignore it.
“C’mon… Raymond Krebbs!” She teased, “Those cows need herding,” she laughed at her own pathetic attempt at morning humour and yawned as her hands ran through her tangled blonde curls.
Ray moaned and rolled over to face Donna. “I suppose you’re right…” he heaved himself from the bed when Donna pulled him backwards and he fell onto her and his body pressed against hers. “C’mon now, I’ve got lots to do around here.” He grinned as he read her mind and felt her hands search his body, “I can’t be distracted.”
She pouted, “I don’t think an hour will hurt.”
He checked the clock and twisted his lips in contemplation, “And what will the boys think? When all I’ve done is give them grief for them being five minutes late for the past four months.”
“Who cares what anyone thinks?” Donna shrugged her shoulders and kissed him.
“Apparently, you don’t. Well…” Ray checked the clock again. Who could it really hurt? He chuckled, “You’re a bad influence on me, Mrs Krebbs. D’you know that?” She giggled with excitement as they rolled back underneath the covers.
9 The One I Gave My Heart To Aaliyah
How could the one I gave my world to, throw my world away, how could the one who said “I love you” say the things you say…
Pamela Graison flinched from her husband’s touch in disgust as he attempted to explain himself.
Black stains of mascara decorated her porcelain-toned cheeks and her auburn curls flew in every direction. A far cry from the elegant, model-like woman she had looked like only hours before. “Don’t touch me!”
He backed away and shrugged his shoulders with an innocent look. “I don’t know how to say this, Pam. D’you think that I wanted any of this?” Mark pleaded, “Hell, I’ve played this moment out in my head a thousand times and I didn’t expect it to be easy for either of us but I never wanted to hurt you.”
A hardened look fell upon her face and she gritted her teeth, “Well… you’ve said all that you needed to, haven’t you? You don’t want this anymore, actually correction, you don’t want ME anymore!”
“Pam…” Guilt overwhelmed him, “I’ll always love you.” She scoffed at his petty words, “But you knew the man I was when you met me and it’s the same man I’ll always be whether you can accept it or not.” He had spent his entire adulthood as one of the most infamous playboy’s of Texas, eventually it was inevitable that he would miss the fun and games.
“Well, don’t let me stop you!” She snapped.
Mark ignored her sarcasm, “At least, that’s how I feel in this moment. Who knows? Perhaps sometime, sometime in the future I’ll be able to settle down, marry someone and have children but –”
The word children set Pamela off into an irrational haze and she slapped him hard against the cheek. “Do you honestly think I need to hear about your plans for the future? You’ve said what you needed to, now get the hell out of my house! I don’t want you here and I don’t want you near me and I especially don’t want you anywhere near my son.”
“Pam, I still care for Christopher –” he frowned.
Her eyes flamed with anger and Mark feared her in her most enraged moment, “I mean it, Mark. I want you out!” She shoved him from the living room and Mark reluctantly followed orders, leaving the house as she slammed the door and collapsed against it in floods of tears.
10 Shiver Maroon 5
I shiver when I hear your name, I think about you but it’s not the same, I won’t be satisfied ‘til I’m under your skin…
He had done it all. He had tried every trick in the book. And he knew she cared. He knew she more than cared for him. She wanted him. She needed him. She craved him. Almost as much as he craved her.
Newspaper cut outs, model photographs decorated his bedroom wall. It allowed him to think about her at night. He could admire her from close or afar and she would smile down at him. He could tell himself it wouldn’t be long until she really was there with him.
Auburn toned brunette curls, deep hazel eyes and that smile she possessed. It wasn’t often present. JR Ewing didn’t give anyone much to smile about. But he could resurrect it, he could bring her happiness.
He would be devoted, more than devoted. He would provide her with it all. Everything she desired.
He reached for the phone and dialled the number of Southfork. “Sue Ellen Ewing, please?” In anticipation, he waited until the appeared on the line and he could listen to the softness of her voice.
“Sue Ellen Ewing speaking,” she answered.
He felt himself shiver at the sound of her name and remained silent. For a few blissful moments, he listened as she waited for his response and listened to the sound of her breathe. He could almost feel it against his skin.
“Hello…?” She pressed for any kind of response.
“Soon…” he replied.
“Soon?” Sue Ellen repeated, in confusion.
“Soon,” his voice remained husky, “Soon, we’ll be together again. I love you, Sue Ellen.”
Her eyes widened in horror as she recognised him, “Peter?”
I enjoyed them all but especially 5, 6 and 10.
"I generally avoid temptation unless I can't resist it."
"I'll try anything once, twice if I like it, three times to make sure."
Mrs. S, loved them all but especially enjoyed #2. I like that you used Muriel. I need to do a new set of these. You're inspirational.
OH WOW!!!! Loved the Peter one - my goodness, that gave me the chills!!! I always thought Peter should've came back when he was a bit older, and in a stalker type way. Loved it, more soon please!!!
Mrs. S you are a magican with this thread. I have soooo many favorites from your latest compilation. My first being the 2nd one featuring Muriel....she is a rockstar, and what a cute story for her. I hope she reams Lucy though for playing with her.
My other favorites are
Pam and Bobby, Pam and Jenna, the one with Lucy and Mitch (holy cow - that one needs its own story ) , the Pam and Mark one. Could you please make the Lucy/Mitch one into a story...she doesn't get enough love on this forum.
Thanks for all your wonderful comments, Scarlett!
I will definately consider making the Lucy one into a mini-story on the side from my current one. It's true that she doesn't get much love at all here on this forum, much like the real story on Dallas where the writers didn't know what to do with her at all once she matured
