Question: If J.R. was planning on divorcing Sue Ellen, why do you think they wrote him as being torn up about her leaving him? (the scene where he finds out she's with Dusty and where he visits Afton afterwards) It didn't seem like it was all because of John Ross, or that he was ticked that she was able to get "the boy" away from him. Season 5 DVD is definitely my favorite!

I think he does L-O-V-E- her in his own selfish, sick, hidden way....like when he told Miss Ellie in season 1 that "it's too late..." or in season 4 (dvd 5): "But that man (Barnes) with my SE..."

Granted, he is bored with SE at times and he really treats her like shit (to quote Mr. H) but he never would have left her. Somehow he just needs all these other women. To proof himself that he can have them or simply because he is a male whore, I don't know...

He always says that it's about John Ross only, but I think that it's about her as well. Also evident in the first scene that I posted, when he argues with Clayton in season 4 (5): At first he's like: "I don't give a shit about SE, I want my son!", but then as JR realizes that Clayton won't back down, he loses his cool and he (clearly jealous and infuriated) says: "She doesn't mean anything to you!" and his creepy blue eyes are shooting daggers at poor Claytinho...

Does anyone else think that Mr. H has the creepiest eyes!? My sister always says that his eyes creep her out for some reason! Ha Ha
