After reading the article about Brenda Strong being cast and it mentioning that Victoria would be open to returning if the script was right it got me thinking.
What if Pam was going to return to Bobby and Dallas at one point but when she did she found that he was with a new partner. It could open it up for her to return as a sort of Alexis character, the scorned woman. She thought that he had made peace that they were over and that he was now happy with a new woman.
This really hurt an already fragile Pam even more so she left thinking they were never ment to be together it was all wrong for them. While away from Bobby she began to feel she hated him and the Ewings (obviously this isnt true, as like Alexis loved Blake, she loves Bobby) but focusing her energy on that made her able to carry on a new life away from Dallas. She has a new identity and life, she is still very rich and has secretly played games with JR and the ewings making them lose money and deals from a far.
But something happens that makes it vital that she returns to Dallas to wreak havoc on the Ewing family. Setting her up as the new Barnes to cause trouble for the Ewings. She wants Bobby back and hates Anne but Bobby will not leave her, After all hes been with Anne longer than he was with Pam.
I think it would be great to see Victoria play a darker Character.
I know that my idea is more than a little sketchy, but i am still watching the dream season, i dont know when Pam leaves or exactly why, i gather from what i have read no one knows why or where. Those blanks would need filled in ofcourse.
What do people think?

I don't really believe that Linda is clinging to Dallas for a career...I just roll my eyes when people continue to say that Victoria turned her back on Dallas as though it would have been better for her to go down with the ship and continue to participate in events that make a mockery out of Dallas.
