I remember when I went to buy season three and it was a few months after it was released. It took me such a long time to find one with a slipcase. In the end I had to go to eBay and buy a used copy in order to get what I wanted! It's still available from certain places online, Play.com sell Season 7 with a slipcase, you just have to know where to go!

Gosh. If I was you, if the next one arrives and it's no good, keep the slipcase (presuming it's in a good condition) and order from Amazon. The best of both worlds!

I cant be botherd to go print off lables and what not. And I don't even have a printer. I shall just keep it. I have way too many DVDs to display now anyway. The wont really be on show, and so long as the DVDs play. It will do. Unless I get crazy at some point in the future and buy another set from Play.com

Thanks for the tip. Problem is, it's the slipcase that's getting dented because of the poor packaging.

I miscounted, it was actually my fifth copy I was waiting for, which has now arrived. The total is now: 2 copies from Amazon (no slipcase), 3 copies from Play (damaged slipcase). At this point, I'd pay over the odds and just buy one in store, but nowhere seems to have it.

Finally I got season 7 DVD-s with slip case from e-bay.
I am so happy.
The only thing, that I miss is a Cellini - Locklear new pool scene.
So now I have all my favorite seasons on original DVD-s (seasons: 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7).
Maybe I will also buy season 8.

Did they not include that whole re-cap, or just the Karen Cellini clip of it?

I guess that means we may not get Season 8's re-cap with Emma Samms explaining via phone conversation why Fallon and Jeff supposedly can't come to Adam's Wedding.

I've never posted here before, but I found this threat through Google and I was glad to get the confirmation that I'm not nuts. As a hardcore collector, I too have been affected by the slipcase issue. I just wanted to warn you that I ordered my boxset from Play.com and it still came without a slipcase last week. So I think in the end, none of the retailers actually has the definitive solution to this problem - I guess, like everyone else, I'll have to keep rolling the dice and just keep ordering from Amazon/Play/eBay until I get the slipcase.

Alexis would've bought Paramount by now and fixed the damn issue . . .
