No
She had JR, and her Mother and Sister she didn't need another nightmare in her life.![]()

that would have been great casting. Dallas almost explored making Sue Ellen's mother more of a cast member but it was always just a bit and then she was gone- it was always a bit of a tease and there seemed to be possibilities there.

They look alike.
I was lucky not to have been born pretty. - Joan Hickson
Sometimes I wonder whether the world is being run by smart people who are putting us on or by imbeciles who really mean it. - Mark Twain
It would have been fabulous. What kind of character would she be?
Alternatively, how about Jane Russell?
(has anyone seen the Western Soap "Yellow Rose"?)

I think Joan Crawford would have been great as Patricia Sheherds bitchy sister or relative of the never really heard of Mr Shepherd (father of SE)
Uk papers in 80s were always comparing them as Lookie likies
and I agree

Definitely would loved to have seen Linda Gray and Joan share some scenes together, that's for sure.

Wouldn't it be great if Aunt "Joan" was really Sue Ellen's mother - sort of like how Jessica was really Dusty's mother - and then the Dusty and Sue Ellen could each commit their respective mothers to some institution and they'd live in a kind of "What ever happened to Baby Jane?" version of Dallas, while Dusty and Sue Ellen ride off into the sunset together?

Diane Keaton, who's also been compared physically to Sue Ellen (especially the later, long black haired Sue Ellen) is Scorpio Rising/Moon in Aquarius, too.
It's harder to see it between Crawford and Keaton, but not impossible.

A while back someone first made the Keaton/Sue Ellen analogy and posted not-too-young shots of Keaton in one of her long, whispy black hair periods --- which is the only look that "works" for purposes of comparison, ideally with Sue Ellen's later vampira era. But I can't find those kinds of shots online for Keaton now.... only blonde-ish ones or young brunette shots.

Yeah, it's not apparent with Keaton/Crawford unless you go back to some of Crawford very early silent era photos, and even then they have to be the right ones, as do Keatons... I wish I could find the ones posted here of Keaton in comparison to Gray --- they were exactly the right pics of both.Totally. They could be mother and daughter (or, to keep Joan happy, twin sisters).Originally Posted by Tessie
