Do you think that Katherine might have had something to do with Sheila's plan?

A recent response in a thread about Katherine got me thinking again about the possibility that perhaps Katherine might have had some connection to Sheila/Hillary's plan and what happened to April in Paris because it seems like an awfully big coincidence that Bobby was chosen for the plan instead of JR. It seems to me that JR would have the much more logical choice because he was sleazy enough to play right along without causing any trouble as long as there was something in it for him. What do y'all think?

I always assumed it was just because Jordan Lee knew the family and knew they would be there in Paris at the same time as the conference, thus making them perfect for the plan. Katherine's involvement would have sort of made him extraneous and they wouldn't have needed him, so I tend to think by this time Katherine was just on the run and out of the game.

Yes Jordan was a definately a key player, but I suspect that maybe he was just Katherine's puppet because she would have needed someone in the same social circle as the Ewings to keep tabs on Bobby because she was out of the country at that point, and you'd think that if it had been left completely up to Jordan, he most likely would have picked JR instead because of all of the trouble JR had caused him over the years. There has to be some significance to Bobby being targeted instead of JR, but I guess we'll never know for sure.

Well obviously it's also true that at the time, Bobby was the President of Ewing Oil, not JR, who was technically just a junior partner-so posing as his wife would have been more appealing to Hilary since it made it that much more likely they'd get into the conference and be believable.

Well, Bobby was the president of EO, but JR was really the one with the "star power" if you will to get her all of the attention that she wanted for her big speech that she planned to make, so being "Mrs. JR Ewing" would have done much more for her if that's all there was to it, so I still think there was a lot more behind the choice of Bobby. Katherine was far too crazy to let her obsession with Bobby go while she hiding out in Europe. She was most likely plotting her revenge on Bobby, and found the perfect opportunity to inflict emotional pain on him.

Actually, I never thought about this. It would have been great ending climax to this storyline if we found out that Katherine was behind this (which totally would have been in her character). It would have been more interesting for Bobby to chase Katherine around the world during this season instead of Susan Lucci....great idea! Would have loved to see Michelle shoot Katherine instead of Hillary Taylor....what a way for that character to go out....

I would have been bummed to see such an amazing and legendary villainess die at the hands of the awful Michelle Stevens Beaumont.

I hated Michelle too...still, I would have loved a major "Katherine Wentworth" storyline in the final but brutal season...

True, but a great character like Katherine deserves more of a proper send off; maybe seeing Katherine and Pam both come back to the show, still rivals.

Some send off is better than no send off, which is exactly what Dallas did to poor Katherine...

And countless others: Afton, Sue Ellen (that movie story line was awful), Pammy (can't believe she would in her right mind, write off her family), Kristin (died too tragically young, too quickly), and I'm sure there are other (including men), that I haven't thought of at the moment.

Well it's fiction and I don't think the writers had any thought of Katherine when plotting it out.
