OMG - this is such a co-incidence. I just downloaded the theme from Santa Barbara from iTunes last night.
Fond memories of watching this on my school lunch hour in the last half of the 80s. One of the few daytime soaps to make it to the UK.

I loved Santa Barbara. It was probably my favorite daytime soap. Cruz and Eden and Keith and Gina were two of my favorite couples. There were many memorable storylines for me. One that I remember particularly enjoying was the one where Gina made it look like Eden had pulled the plug on C.C.'s lifesupport. Then Kirk got involved making Eden think she had really done it. They had that great climax at some marine park. It was all a lot of fun. I wish Soapnet would air SB. It would be great to see it again.

You can relive some of the storylines thanks to this wonderful Youtube user. The episodes are split in 9 min segments and start from episode 46 in 1984. Enjoy!!

Thanks for posting the link! I spent some time this morning rewatching some of those early episodes. It was awesome because these are all epsiodes that aired before I started watching--so they are new to me. It is going to be fun to watch how Gina ends up marrying C.C. since she was already married to him when I started watching. Thanks again for the link, jej. You made my day!

The things we tolerated in the 80's. The show was split into 25 min episodes meaning it took like a month for characters to finish one conversation. A middle aged woman dressed in a beard and black hat. At the time I took it really seriously, but it was awful. The only good thing about it was Robin Wright. Everyone seemed to change heads.

CC Capwell and Kelly had numerous actors playing them!! Loved the show though. Made myself a promise, I would watch it until Eden and Cruz got married but it took years!!! Same in France, episodes were split in half!!
