    Default Cliffhangers observations and questions??

I posted this, but it must have gotten lost in the transfer, so her goes again.

    1. Once the "Who Shot JR" set the stage for the season cliffhanger, what cliffhanger do you think was the weakest? I haven't seen some in years, but I think the one where Sue Ellen left and threatened JR with a movie? That just seems a little lame, but like I said, I haven't seen it in a while.

    2. Do you think any of the cliffhangers equaled or were better than the "WHo Shot JR?

    3. I think the ending to the dream season with Bobby in the shower was good. I assume they had him discovered by Pam because they were married. But that meant the entire season was Pam's dream. Wouldn't it have been more significant had it been JR's dream being that he is the lead character. I think some people thought, "Who cares what Pam dreamed."

    4. Pam woke up and found Bobby in the shower. Were Bobby and Pam actually together in the bedroom prior to him getting killed, or was that scene just created so she could wake up and find him?

    1. the movie, yes that was weak. Sue Ellen shooting J.R. in 1988 was a bit lame. It had been done.
    2. No
    3. He was discovered by Pam because it was her dream, but no they weren't married at the time.
    4. Yes they were together in the bedroom. They got back together for the first time in over 2 years, and he spent the night with her. The Dream began and when he left the house he was run over.

I did'nt like the cliff hangers with Sue Ellen shooting JR and then threatning him with that movie. Pam and Bobby were not married at the time when she saw him in the shower but they were going to getting back together.

Sue Ellen and her boring movie

it wasnt a cliff hanger and it didnt get you talking all summer, CLiff finding Kristin in the pool wasnt too exciting either

    not like Who shot JR
    Who shot Bobby
    Bobby in the shower
    SF fire etc

They really did generate press over the summer break.

The Sue Ellen movie thing was lame indeed. The JR in the sanitarium cliffhanger disgusts me because he's my favorite character and it sucked to see him get into that predicament.

None of the cliffhangers equaled "Who Shot JR" but "Who Shot Bobby" was pretty good even if it was a rehash.

The Bobby/Pam stuff was already answered but man it'd be funny if that was all JR's dream LOL

I liked the "Who shot Bobby" because everyone expected JR to fall out of that chair.

Like I said before the posts got wiped, Cliff in the hosipal was pretty weak. We knew they wouldn't let the Barnes-Ewing feud go that easy!

I thought that all of the cliffhangers following and including Sue Ellen Shooting JR was stupid and lame. I thought JR being left in the sanitarium in season 12 (DVD13) was funny, but still very lame.

Next to Who Shot JR, I think that Swan Song was very very good!

I wasn't fond of the Goodbye Cliff Barnes cliffhanger. It just seemed so forced to me--it didn't seem natural that everything falled down around his ears like that.

Totally agree...These four were the most exciting cliff hangers with "Who Shot JR" being the best of all time!

    Like I said, I agree! Cliff's hanger wasn't really a cliffhanger...sorry, folks.

I thought DVD season 5 was the weakest of the earlier seasons........if Cliff dies, Sue Ellen can't marry JR.

Killing off someone like Cliff was not an option, not sure why they did that. Also thought it was weak following the two previous seasons cliffhangers, both very good.

The later seasons where Sue Ellen left was weak, but the whole show had gone downhill by then, so it wasn't too big of a surprise.

One of my favorites is the Southfork fire, the whole season is one of my favorites.
