Chima's Side of the Story
Chima has apparently written an e-mail explaining her expulsion from the house. She claims she left on her own free will. Here's the email:
Hi Thomas. Yes, I did in fact quit the show, although there are reports on EW from CBS to the contrary. Big Brother would like everyone to believe I was kicked off for not following the rules, but I went to the producers repeatedly over the past couple of days wanting to leave....wanting out of that house!
As crazy as that house is, the producers NEVER want the world to think or know that we houseguests DO LEAVE when it becomes futile to stay. I lost faith in the show & my ability to remain committed to this game. All of the remaining housemates know I wanted to leave and that is why any conversation concerning me is cut in the live feed because they don't want America to hear the truth about my voluntary departure.
Do you really believe that I would be expelled for tossing my microphone when past houseguests have only been kicked off for violence & threats of violence? You know better, as do I.
It's better that I left. I did what was best for me in this game and that was to leave. When I chose to play & play hard the power I did earn was completely usurped by a game piece never used before in this game and my HOH reign was rendered useless. I have no regrets. As cliche' as it sounds, until the public is a part of a human pressure cooker, then the judgements should cease.
I find it interesting that my personal attacks on Russell have been highlighted, but his attacks on me pushed under a rug. Selective portrayals? I think so. Russell did terrorize the house, especially the women in the house. Why America constantly finds men attacking women okay, yet vilifies the woman defending herself, will always confound me. But what's done is done, now BB fans can find a new woman to hate. I didn't sign up for what I was exposed to & I left gladly. It was the principle of the matter, the $500,000 prize be damned. That's all for now! Take Care...'

CBS Statement Regarding Chima on Big Brother:
"Chima has been evicted by the producers from the Big Brother house for violating the rules. She will not be part of the show's jury. Her eviction will be addressed on an upcoming broadcast of the show."

In a way I have a tad of sympathy for her..
HOH is the prize for survival and control. and that was just stripped from her..
While I loved it. I still understand her feelings...
She went from having total control to being on the losing end of the numbers game..
And in a way that shouldn't happen when you are HOH!!
But she could have won POV and shook things up more..
Anyway as I always say... It is more fun to see the drama people in the house and Lydia more than made up for her absence with her drunken stupor..

whiny idiot
It is BB, this type of thing HAPPENS every season.
She got mad, she got sad, she quit.
She was in the drivers seat since the show began. For a few days she went where Lydia, Jeff, Jordan, Russell and all those evicted were before.
It is like quitting because your friend bought 'Park Place' or got a home run.
Bad sportsmanship

This type of thing doesnt happen every season.
Name me one season where HOH was stripped of their nominees??
I agree it was poor sportsmanship ect ect. and I am glad that this twist happened as it was awesome to watch..
She quit... so be it. Would you hate her any less had she didn't?
When money lies honor dies....when it is all friends left it gets ugly also..

I didn't watch All-Stars, but isn't that when the coup-de-tat was first used? That's what I've read on the BB message boards.
I personally wouldn't have hated Chima any less if she didn't leave. I think she's a piss poor player, and she got what she deserved based on her actions. She basically gave the finger to her friends by walking out, which is why Kevin tried so hard to get her to stay. With Ronnie, Jessie, and now Chima leaving, their numbers are dwindling fast.
Now it's down to Natalie, Lydia, and Kevin, and two of their own are on the block for the fourth week in a row. Personally, I'm rooting for Jeff's side of the house. At the same time, I don't like seeing people just give up the way Chima did, even if I'm not personally rooting for her or her alliance.
As Natalie told her, she had the opportunity to win POV and possibly win HOH the following week. She's a dope. The coup-de-tat may have been unfair to her, but the motto of BB is "expect the unexpected." Was it anymore fair to bring in enemies, ex-boyfriends and girlfriends, or "America's Player?" I'm not a big fan of these twists myself, but it's the nature of BB.
The problem I have with Jessie's alliance is that they think they are above reproach. They continually talk about Jessie like he's a saint and refer to their side of the house as the good side, and Jeff's as the evil side. They've even put down America for voting to award Jeff the coup-de-tat, but it's obvious to the viewers that Jessie's alliance is far from pure. Especially that skanky slut Lydia, performing sex acts on Jessie. She's beyond nasty.
This is not a word I use regularly, but I think Lydia is a major, major ****. I can't stand her holier than thou attitude, while cutting down the other side of the house in a vile way (calling Jordan a ho, threatening to mutilate Jeff, cussing people out, etc.). Chima was the same way. I'm not a Nat fan either, but she has nothing on these two royal bitches.
Jeff is the most level headed person right now. He keeps pointing out that it's just a game, and they weren't balling or whining when his friends were going out the door. That's the way the game work. The balance of power shifts, and very rarely can you dominate the game forever.
I'm still wondering how Chima's expulsion will affect the jury.

Let me explain it this way.
Chima (which I first thought was an act) is an angry black person.
And being an angry black person and having the mentality of an angry black person and not the mentality of a rational human being like yourself can you see where she got angry??
Being an angry black person made her think the producers were racist and she was screwed out of her nominations by race.
Hate to play psychiatrist but ya know? that is how it went down. It was the victimization game.
Anyway Lydia is now gone and now it really is going to be boring...Unless the two couples turn on each other...
I would love to see a russell or jeff screwjob!!
and BTW I did watch AllStars. I am not sure I recall it..But I am sure if that power was titled it had a different use. I do not think any HOH lost all power in that game. It didn't happen..

The power was called Coup Detat in All Stars, it was the same exact thing. It was given to Mike Boogie and since he told someone in the house about it it was taken away from him so he couldn't use it. The theme of this season is "Expect the Unexpected" and that's why the decided to give this power another try since Boogie got it taken away. In all stars, like I said it worked the exact same way.

Thanks for the explanation. I've only seen about 3 random episodes of All Stars, but I remember reading that the coup detat was first introduced that season. I didn't realize it was taken away, but then again Boogie won that year anyway.
Part of me sees it as just being a twist in the game, but then there's another part of me that thinks that these twists make the game an uneven playing field. Instead of letting the houseguests duke it out and screw each other over, the producers often give certain houseguests special powers that give them an advantage over everybody else. As glad as I was to see Jessie walking out the door, I now understand Chima's point of view as well. While Chima had to compete for HOH in order to earn it, Jeff was simply handed the power by America.
I still think she handled it all wrong, as she still had the ability to compete for HOH and go after Jeff. Then again, I imagine she figured there was no point in competing when anything she actually earned in the game could be stripped from her so easily. I still think Chima has anger issues to say the least, but at the same time I'm really starting to see how messed up it is that the producers screw with the houseguests so much instead of just letting the game unfold naturally.
