Cocktail Hour Extended to 2 Hours!

I just recvd an email from the event organizers saying the $1000 VIP Cocktail Hour ticket has been extended by an hour!! The new cocktail hour is from 3p-5p. For those of us with those tickets, we'll get 2 hours with the Ewings in the house before the main barbeque begins!!!

Josh you are too funny. I remember you telling me at Fansource that you were a thread-killer and that every thread you post on nobody replies and the topic stops cold.

I didn't see on the barbeque thread where you posted about the cocktail hour, otherwise I just would have posted over there.

Just the same, it's significant enough that it's proabably a good idea for this topic to have it's own thread.

I would guess that since there are now many more DALLAS cast members coming, as opposed to the original number that was mentioned, they're giving us more time to mingle and really get our money's worth.

Wizard, you're probably right. This definitely needs multiple listings. I'm just counting down the time as I assume we all are.

It's like Christmas in November, which is interesting in itself, since we never saw the Ewings do Christmas (or any other holiday for that matter). Hahaha.

The math just didn't work, I guess. I think they were planning group photos with each person and the cast, which was, at first just Larry, Linda and Patrick. If everyone lines up for a photo, one hour, 100 people, that works out to just 36 seconds a person. Almost impossible, and when you add all the other cast members who are coming, it couldn't be done.

It will be tough with two hours as well, unless everyone goes for their favorite actor, and we don't all have the same favorite!

Still, I really appreciate the extra hour, making this a REALLY long event - should be a lot of fun!

That's fantastic. I am happy for y'all who are going cuz the extra hour really makes a grand stretch of bar b que!! I really wish I would've been able to muster the rest for that ticket also. I just got back from a working the Con in Plano and although the plane trip was covered it cost me a bit and that was where the extra money would have come from . It was really a matter of timing tho, this had been planned and the bar b que came up so unexpectedly that I scrambled to be there somehow, someway. Was a great show tho I really enjoy being a drop of the grease that moves the wheel. I was actually behind the scenecs at Star Wars Celebrations in the past and its a fantastic experience working "behind the scenes", so to speak.
