How about Graeme and Xin. Tina did not look happy, but she has only herself to blame for the hole mess.
Steve looks ready to do something about the mess with Max and Amy. Sorry for Max, but Amy should come first.
It look's like all these story's are come to the end of the line next week.

Their TV guide is usually good - but then they go and spoil it with a profile of Stape.

The Tina, Graeme and Xin triangle has run it's course. It was obvious that they were both falling for each other, so i think it's about time they gave closure to that storyline as well.

Knowing the Scum, they will no doubt portray Stape as some type of anti-hero - in the usually 'oh so ironic' way that they're good at. Look, let's get one thing straight shall we? From the very first minute Stupid Stape appeared on Corrie, I had already made up my mind that he possessed ABSOLUTELY NO REDEEMING QUALITIES ABOUT HIS CHARACTER WHATSOEVER. The guy has zero charisma and has less than zero personality. Even AMY has more about her than this useless character. And that is saying something.

And his acting is so wooden - he makes a mahogany wardrobe look like plastic or PVC.

He is truly the token Cretin of Corrie.
That's the most flattering word I believe I could use to say about John Stape.

Fiz isn't much better. I was hoping that John, would push her in to the hole that he dragged Colin out of.

If they could arrange that kind of departure for both of them, so much the better.

John is really milking it now isn't he - his horrible, yellow teethed curled lip gnashing features are amongst some of the most TRULY HIDEOUSLY STOMACH CHURNING scenes ever seen on Corrie - and not because he's scary - he isn't, just f@cking utterly pathetic! Just watching him losing his rag makes you wanna barge into the set and just slap him across his stupid face with a huge wet kipper Monty Python-style and then knee him in the groin for being such a crap actor!

It's interesting some of you have taken this stance. John is such a popular character, I can take him or leave him but I do think the story arc on this was brilliant. It reminds me of the scrapes Abby Ewing would get into on Knots Landing, all unintentional. But in John's case he has actually gone a bit insane over it and ended up being calculated.

His character transformation over the past month has been just downright unconvincing. He just doesn't carry it off, plain and simple....this is the reason why we are ridiculing him in such a way.... he looks desperate. Hammy even. Which is why his exit from the show is long overdue.

its all rather cringeworthy and I cant wait to see the end of John and prefereably Fiz too with any luck
As for Becky and her histrionics and shouting and unconvincing acting, UGH - No more!! get her off Corrie and asap, why wait to Xmas! Dole queue beckons (joining Screechy Claire and co) and a stint in panto land (back legs of the donkey
)
Corrie is so off the boil i dont actually mind if i miss it!

He does look desperate doesn't he, very unconvincing.
I agree with you too BF about Becky. More of Becky to come when she trashes the Barlows home I think on Friday. Becky is just way out of control, too OTT. Again unconvincing.

And it makes you wonder why some of the media keep on interviewing him. I saw another article today where the actor says that Fiz's troubles are not yet over.

Of all the Corrie characters who LEAST deserve a whole week of episodes to showcase their lack of acting talents, it's John Stape/Graeme Hawley.... I mean, how did it come down to this? When he first arrived he was just a dopey school teacher - a completely incidental character. This was the way it really should have stayed. The business with Rosie should have been the end of him, but trust stupid dozey Fith to get entangled with him.....she really should have listened to Chesney, the silly giddy cow.

I am really enjoying Corrie this week. Yeah, it's been dull lately but this week has really turned around for me.
Becky who has been too much recently is on fire right now. I really felt her pain when they took Max from her.
Fiz in the shower was also touching as she realised the full impact of John's actions.
Despite what many on here think I still believe Hawley's character is written this way and the actor is pulling out all the stops to produce some quality drama. I have really enjoyed everything John has done over the last 12 months.
I have always found Chesney to be weak and these past few weeks I have started to enjoy him more, but this is down to the storyline with him and Stape.
John's story concludes this week, but I fear we are in for some heartache with Fiz, just how much is down to what the authorities find out how much she has been involved with John and this identity theft.

I'm loving the storyline, although it's a shame we had to witness Fiz in the shower, yikes!
I think he plays the part fabulouslessly - he's horrible but wonderful actor!!!

Here is something which I have found interesting....
Graeme Hawley's status as John Stupid in Corrie is EXACTLY the same as that of Lynden Ogbourne as Nathan Wylde in Emmerdale - both were pretty incidental, nondescript characters with very little purpose or point when they first emerged.....and then as time progressed and circumstances played their part, both went on to be cast as increasingly deranged and twisted villains with psychological problems who simply did not know where to stop as desperation started to change their personalities for the worse ...... on that one front we can understand both, but what also unites them is that their acting abilities are pretty cringeworthy to say the least. I always laughed at Nathan's supposed evilness and how weak he really was. Ditto Stupid Stape.
Both deserve absolutely NO sympathy or empathy whatsoever and I delight in seeing both get their comeuppance or suffer yet more misery and hardship as the tables are turned on them. They both lack charm and thus deserve nothing but ridicule at every turn. And their attempts at being violent / aggressive merely smack of headless-chicken desperation to boot!
