I was disappointed.
I expected much more. It was a good episode, but just good. The lines were as witty, the stories weren't as memorable, and Bree's outfits were very un-Bree-like (especially that oversized green sweater in her finale scene).
Also: since when is there a forest behind Katherine's Wisteria Lane home?
Really enjoyable episode. I liked the religious stuff, with Lynette raising her hand in church. Funny stuff.
PTG, I got the feeling that the forest wasn't behind her home, but way out in the middle of nowhere.
A fantastic episode, quite in par with Season 4. It's fantastic how the tornado events keep resonating on the characters. Finally, the writers gave Gabrielle some substance by having her stay with Carlos even though he is more or less permanently blind. However, I wonder what's in store for Carlos now. Loved Gabrielle and Edie sparring. It was juicy. Also love the bonding between Lynette and Bree. It was nice to see Lynette looking for herself after all that has happened to her. Tim was also great fun and how shocking that Susan caught him with Katherine! Those abuse flashbacks were very well done--Delany acted them greatly and I am really amazed at how well staged it all is. From what we were shown today, Katherine has definetely buried someone, but I think it's too easy that that person is her husband. Also, a candlestick? How very DYNASTY of them. Finally, I am starting to see stuff about Katherine that I really love. Ironically, R&D and me where talking about Laura Avery from KNOTS LANDING and Katherine earlier and it's funny how Katherine won't let anyone come too close--just like Laura did. Lindsay Foncesca is just fantastic. Oh, and I really loved the directing technique of the camera moving through the trees to Katherine.

This is one of the few episodes in which Lynette was a highlight of the show.
I got the impression it was directly behind her home. When the show opened, the camera unsteadily navigated through brush to zoom in on Katherine standing in her window. Later on, she returned to that window and we could see the reflection of the leaves; then it cut to her marching through the forest. Maybe the scene was just poorly edited and the forest is indeed elsewhere.
Great posts, guysI'm glad to have my Housewives back--Sunday hasn't been the same without them

I guess I'm in the minority. I wasn't impressed with the episode -- lackluster dialogue, out-of-character costume decisions, poor results with attempting new directing techniques. Lynette and Susan's comedy saved this episode. I didn't like the dramatic aspects. Katherine's flashbacks didn't do much for me. In fact, I got kind of sick of seeing her tonight. Especially because Edie only had about 10 lines. I didn't enjoy Gabby and Carlos. I don't like this storyline -- I didn't like how Gabby treated Carlos and I don't see the point of making him permanently blind. That won't work. I guess I'm being more harsh on this episode because I was expecting more because we had to wait for it - and it was just an average episode, in my opinion, making it less than average given we had to wait.
I liked the episode for the most part - the hour went quickly. It was very pro-Katherine tonight. I liked her scene with Adam in the hotel, for a second I couldn't tell if she genuinely wanted him back or if she just wanted him on her side. I do believe that she doesn't do well alone.
The opening scene with all of the ladies (minus Edie) was hilarious. Typical Katherine to shut everyone out, including Susan, who she's known for years, and Bree, who she bonded with during the tornado.
I do have a thought. The small opening credits flash the core four housewives only. I'm wondering if Edie would ever be added, or if they would ever add Katherine. I can't tell if Katherine will be around for season 5 or if she'll mysteriously leave the way Betty Applewhite did. This is why I don't like it when new characters are brought in, intended to mainstream, only to last a season or less.
I read an interview with the actress who plays Mary Alice Young and she said that the rest of the season's episodes are going to be chokefull of developments, and that means Katherine every episode (or so I guess).
Marc Cherry has said that only the main four are safe, so I don't think we can ever be sure of anyone else.

I missed it, I thought it came on at 9 my time, but it came on at 8, so I'll have to watch it online I guess,![]()

Wow -- that's just great that you violated the #1 rule of this forum and posted a spoiler of any sort without warning or using the hidden spoiler feature.
I thought it was the most enjoyable episode in what IMO has been a rather disappointing Season so far. Seeing the different characters going to their different places of worship was an interesting idea and it was great that they made the effort to bring back the same Priest for Gaby and the same Rev. for Bree. Lynette showing up Bree in church was pretty funny but Im not sure I find her "quest" in the episode all that believable.
Susan was actually pretty amusing, as a character she works so much better solo or at least away from that plank Mike.
Katherine's story doesnt interest me one bit, the mystery plot is lame although the character does have an interesting edge.
Still cant understand why they've demoted Edie again this Season, making the character more central and giving her a bit more depth is what made S3 so good.
The episode was okay, but not great enough to have waited months to see. I really don't like Katherine and hated that so much of the show seem wrapped up by her and her dark past. Gabby got on my nerves as usual and I was glad she didn't get too emotional in front of Edie. Loved the scene with Edie and the fake bracelet tho; I love it when anyone gets one over on her. My favortite part of the whole long hour was when Susan ran into the bedroom to find Timmy and then learned about his first fling with Katherine. The look on her face was priceless.
