Default Do you like David Bowie?

I don't know why they chose Bowie again for this season. I'm not a fan myself. Life on Mars was good but Ashes to Ashes is annoying.

I'm not really a fan of Bowie, but I quite like the thematic links his inclusion lends to the Life on Mars/Ashes to Ashes franchise. It doesn't work quite so congenially with the sequel series - the Pierrot Clown is an interesting and freakish symbol in Ashes, but isn't quite as humorously engrained in the viewers eyes as the Test Card F girl from Mars - but stylistically it lends an artistic angle that alot of basic drama shows lack. The song titles work as titles to the respective shows, too: "Life on Mars" reflects Sam Tylers' strange and confusing fish-out-of-water environment, and "Ashes to Ashes" works well as the sequel series is underlined by the imminent death of Alex Drake's parents.

Never a total fan of his, nor did any of his material annoy me. Made some classics, many I appreciate today, more so than when they were originally released

Brown for first course, white for pudding. Brown is savoury, white's the treat. Of course I'm the one who's laughing, because I actually love brown toast

oh i love his music. his last album came out on my 25th b-day! i love his 60's stuff. & i think 'the man who sold the world" (1970) is my favorite album of his. some say Ziggy. i don't i think 'hunky dory' is a better album than ziggy actually. THAT album SHOULD have given him stardom.

I love David Bowie, I own most of his CD's . I loved watching him sing with Tina Turner and Mick Jagger... He is so cool, and he has an amazing voice.

there are some of his albums that i think are just terrible like some artists they have albums that are better than others. never back down i think is the (1986) album i think i read on wikipedia which is why i say i'm not sure if this is true or not buut he apologized for it! actually i think it's not that bad of an album. his "Tin Machine" stuff is just aweful. i LOVE him doing rock mind you but his stuff with "Tin Machine" is just terrible. have you got his 1st album yet Jessie? it came out in (1967) & actually it takes some used to getting used to the style. buut i like it. it's self titled & it just got released as a 2 disc set back in i think January.
