5) Charlene Tilton or Audrey Landers
(BBG, Jim Davis, and Howard Keel aren't included because, unfortunately, they are no longer with us.)
Please explain your choice for each pairing. Just to be clear, this poll is based on how the actors are today, not how they looked/sounded during Dallas' run.

Patrick is the Sexy Boy.
Victoria Principal because she's so pretty.
Susan Howard for being a down-to-earth gal.
Steve Kanaly for being the hot cowboy he is.
Audrey Landers because she's pretty like VP is.
I tried to base my answers mostly on the ones whom I heard weren't difficult to work with....key word is TRIED.Truth is I really don't know. It would depend on the part that they're trying out for.

It really depends what we are casting them for and what as, but I did my best:
Larry because he's the better actor, and takes great pride in a project, and can work behind the camera
Victoria because I would say she's slightly better an actress than Linda, but also for the glamour
Susan for being very loyal to her roles, which always helps in character continuity
Ken for being (no disrespect to Steve) vastly superior. Ken is probably the best actor in Dallas
Charlene for sheer loyalty to the core Dallas cast

Patrick Duffy (kind loving father type)
Victoria Principal (sexy older woman type)
Susan Howard (sheering acting ability alone)
Steven Kanaly (just because I'm not a big KK fan)
Audrey Landers (simple beauty)
-Patrick: thought he did a good job recently on B&B
-Victoria: just because I'd love to see her back on my TV screen
-Susan: a brilliant actress who has been out of the business for too long; could hit another home run with the right role
Steve: Ken is great but I'd love to see Steve in a regular role that would fully utilize his talents
Audrey: a lovely and talented lady I'd like to see more of these days

I know I am new here and don't want to hurt anyone's feelings, but I have to say what I feel on one sunject: Victoria Principal.
Knowing all that I know now, I would never cast VP in Dallas or anything else. She is so ungrateful for the world wide fame Dallas brought her, and I hear she was/is demanding and difficult. I love Pam and agree Dallas wasn't the same without her, but VP, in my opinion, has forgotten where she came from, and I wouldn't cast her in a lake, much less a film or television series.

She didn't run in the same social circles with the others, but they all seem to share a mutual respect for each other as actors.
Wow... Can't believe how close Larry & Patrick are in the poll...
Although I like both Victoria and Linda, I thought Linda had a little more range in her acting ability and I thought her role was also more demanding IMO. Between Larry and Patrick (although Patrick was awesome 'eye candy') I thought Larry was the real glue of the show. Between Ken and Steve, both antagonist towards JR, I thought the role of Cliff was more demanding and Ken's acting skills were superior. However, Steve also had that 'eye candy' appeal that Patrick had. I like Susan Howard a lot but I have to say that Morgan Brittany had the most interesting role and the more complex character between the two.
If I was a casting director, I'd choose them all. But for the purpose of this poll, I would go for Larry, Victoria, Susan, Steve and Charlene.

and for the record I dont think Victoria is ungrateful for Dallas and her fame! She doesnt make a career NOW out of being in Dallas- it was 30 years ago, she has moved on, she doesnt need it, she is one shrewd business woman and it must be very boring talking about the same 9 years for her. It was once a part of her life and it ended a new chapter started.
She gave a great interview on UD and has appeared at reunions, which is great, but she has moved on, and shouldnt be criticised for it. I think that some people are jealous of the fact she is so successful - no one really criticised BBG who turned her back on showbiz / Dallas and VP shouldnt be criticised either.
