I missed this post the last time I was here.

It was quite an interesting evening.

They had a ceilidh band performing folk songs and each song had its own dance. The lead band member would get as many people up on the floor and talk them through each dance. With all the spinning and weaving in & out of each other it created many laughs. Those attempting the dance and those who sat back and watched. As the night progressed and the drink was flowing more and more would be up having fun.

It was like watching scenes from the film Titanic.

    Good Day

Glad you enjoyed the Ceilidh, Ome I thought you would. We used to get taught some of the dances at school. We had an old history teacher called Miss Holgate who was a big Scottish Music fan and could play the fiddle (violin). She used to teach us some of the steps.

    J. How are you feeling now ?

Weather was rubbish here yesterday. Today is fairing a little better.

Kev--I am thoroughly enjoying Abby and Paige's partnership.

How has your week been so far?

I'm feeling back to 100 percent today, much to my relief.

We had a tiny little earthquake at school today. Here's what I love about California kids--the earth shakes for a couple of seconds and they barely bat an eye. There were a few comments like "oh it's an earthquake" and then they all went back to their writing assignment. (These are the same people who freak out when it snows, however.)

I hope that everyone is having a good week as we approach the mid-week mark.

    Good Morning

Oh, that's a classic, J. I'm sure I would die of shock if I ever experienced an earthquake of any size. It just goes to show how you become so used to your own environment and all the weather types that it can throw at you...

Glad to hear you're feeling tip-top again, J.

    Happy Mid-Week, everyone

Morning all. I've been enjoying catching up on some Seaview Circle. What an emotional journey for Val - my goodness. Like Jason, I'm enjoying the Abby/Paige frenemy dynamic.

Ome - thanks for the details about the Ceilidh. The Cumberland Square 8 looks fun. Who are the Pluck & Squeeze band though, I wonder...

Jason - I enjoyed your account of the students' responses to the earthquake. I think like Kev my reaction may have been a little more Knots Landing.

    Evening all

I'm loving the latest installment Kev, those pictures of crazy Val always give me a big grin, she is such a colourful character. Nice to know Mack is still thinking about his stomach. And Paige...! What a blessing it is to see her in the latest strip. I'm as curious as Abby to learn why or what she is up to.

I am back watching Dallas after a few years break with the intention of finishing before the new show starts in June.

I'm on the last season and look who popped up in the sanitarium where JR had himself committed.

I loved his comic character in Knots and it was a real pleasure to see hip turn up in Dallas.

    Good Morning, Ome

I've seen the trailer for the new Dallas. Looks like it's going to be a good show I only ever saw the original Dallas up until Pam was killed.

Rain today.... Where has early Summer gone ?

    Enjoy your day

What a perfect ending for Phoenix Droppings, I love the idea of Abby & Paige joining forces, I can't imagine what they might come up with. Also loved how Karen quickly turned Val's events of the day back in her favour. Brilliant.

We've had nothing but rain these past couple of days, not that it's stopping Millie & Boots, going back and forth leaving dirty paw prints everywhere.

Have you ever thought about finishing Dallas off Kev?

    Good Afternoon, Sir

I hadn't thought of that, to be honest, Ome... I think we'll watch the new one though. Perhaps set it to record on Sky Plus, although I'm not sure when it's due to start over here ? It's bound to be popular though, don't you think ?

So chuffed to hear you've enjoyed the latest Seaview Circle Saga. Each time I start one I think.. "will this be a disaster" ?

Can't believe you're having so much rain. It's miserable here today but we have had some nice days too... I hope it improves for you very soon...

Afternoon to you too, nice to see you on line at the same time.

As for the quality of your strips I highly doubt it possible you could create a disaster.

All this catching up with Dallas has really got me excited for the new show, but it's also got me planning to do Knots again. (I'm currently watching the 2005 Reunion) I don't think the new Dallas will relate to the later seasons, so I doubt not watching them would confuse the viewers on the new show. I'm not sure when it is planned for our TV, only that Channel Five has bought it.

We've just had ten minutes of a heavy storm, pretty much like something you would expect in Hawaii, only we don't get the intense sun afterwards, just more rain

Hello Mister Sorry, I've been away from the PC .... Was summoned by His Nibbs... x 2

Channel 5 you say...? I'll check that out. Thanks for the info.

Perhaps a storm is a good thing to clear the air for better weather to come your way.. ? Here's hoping anyway

Do you have any exciting plans for the weekend, Ome ? Not sure what we're up to as yet.. ?

When is your summer holiday this year ? Are you Florida bound ?

OMG... !!!! What a fab trip that will be...

You will love San Francisco.... it's a great place. You must do the Alcatraz tour. It's brilliant fun. Very atmospheric

We're off to the good ol' US of A early June. New Orleans for a 4 days then Amtrak to Memphis for 5 days. Followed by, Amtrak to Chicago for 4 days then home again. Really looking forward to it. We've been to Chicago and Memphis before but not New Orleans. Everyone we've spoken to who has been to New Orleans has loved it there.

If you're finishing your vacation in LA you should try and meet up with Our Jason.. ? How much of a blast would that be.. ?

Pleased to hear you've had some sunshine at long last

We've been to SF & visited Alcatraz a couple of times. We do love SF and usually try and fit it in if we're over that way. We've also done Yosemite and LA a few times, LA is always the final stop so Teen Ome can get her Disney fix. Not travelled to any of the other places before so we're excited about that.

Early June.... Not long then. Oh I bet you can't wait.

I do want to visit Chicago and New Orleans, though I've never fancied Memphis.

Well, Memphis is good, if you like Jazz/Blues music... it's fairly Mecca ... and of course, all the Elvis stuff.

Your intended trip sounds fabulous. I'm sure you'll have a great time.

Quick "hello" to you all folks

And a quick public "thank you" to the Omeister for reloading my updated Avatar. By far, the finest Admin ever to grace the boards at SoapChat.Net - though don't tell Afton, Sarah, Luke and co

Anyway I hope you all are well guys n gals. Thank goodness another week is almost over. For all us Brits, it's only been a 4 day week as well. Anyway Ome, I think it's a really good idea to catchup with old Dallas prior to the start of new Dallas. I think it's highly unlikely that the likes of Cally, James & McKay will all get mentioned in the new series but I do hope they still acknowledge that part of Dallas' history in some way because whether fans like it or knot, it is part of the history. If the series lasts longer than one year then I think the likelihood of long lost relatives turning up is fairly high. And while I think most fans would rather see the likes of the Ewings from California turning up (Gary, Val & the twins), by right, Cally's child, James and Bobby's son (with Jenna) have as much rights to their share of the Ewing Empire. Anyhow we'll see how it all unfolds in a few months on Channel 5.

With regards to my chat with Valene herself next week, I can say that Dallas is far and away the most talked about topic we have to date so it'll be interesting to hear her take on whether or knot the California Ewings should make an appearance at some point in the future...

Also, question for Jase here. Has he watched the U.S Drama Revenge atall? I saw a trailer for it last night on our cable channel E4 and it looks bloody awesome. Just wondering of he recommends it.

    Nighty Night anyway folks
