Indeed.... Page 800 !!! It's hard to believe we've come this far Where will we all be by Page 1600.. ?? I'll have retired by then, surely..
Glad the P800 Comic Strip has made you smile.... I'll admit, Dear Readers, that it wasn't an easy one to create. I was concerned that it lacked enough humour. It suffered a few false starts and one or two, back to the drawing boards.. But I got there eventually. Page 900 will be better.....
I hope you're all set for a great weekend. More sunshine here
Oh - there's humour aplenty Kev. I'm sure even before the revisions, knowing how witty you always are.
The Magic Mirror's comment about Abby's "ho" lipstick cracked me up. My favourite line is definitely Laura to Abby: "I'd no idea there was slut on the menu today."
Weather is still nice here too. A little cooler than yesterday. But given that I spent a couple of hours reading a book in the garden yesterday, that's probably just as well. Or I'd get nothing done.
Hope you've had a good start to the weekend. We went out with friends last night and had a great time. Didn't get in until 12:30, which is a recent record for us. Trust me to be working today though.
Morning guys, I am shocked we're on page 800, that seemed to have happened fast.
Thank your Kev for such a wonderful masterpiece, I loved all of it and laughed out loud at Laura's comment on Abby "I had no idea there was slut on the menu" Brilliant!
The humour was running right through and with perfect timing which you always manage to create, you sir are one talented guy.
Our weekend has been productive, meaning I haven't been sat on my back side all day , but ask me what I've been up to and you'll end up with a load of fuss & nonsense..
Good morning and happy page 800. I wasn't sure we would make it here.
Kev--I loved the grand finale to your saga. I think the page 800 story has been my favorite of all your comics yet. I so appreciate all the time you put into these. It's always a bright spot in my day when I get to read one of your creations.
Have a great weekend everybody. I'm spending the morning, lazily reading (finishing a 3 book series that I have been reading. I always have a mixture a sadness and satisfaction when I have to say goodbye to characters that I have been reading about over multiple books.) Later today I'm seeing The Hunger Games and having dinner with some friends.
I was thinking about you the other night while watching the latest series of Waterloo Road. I'm really struggling with this one, it feels more like a chore than any real enjoyment, however it's on it's last series (before the set moves to Scotland) and I've been there all along, so the heart in me is telling me to stick with it.

How far did you get with the series?
Hi Ome! What series are they on now? Is it 7 or 8? Will you be watching it after the move to Scotland? I got most of the way through season 3 and then I don't know why I stopped. It's been quite a while since I watched an episode. I've been really unfocused in my DVD viewing habits lately--watching a few episodes of one series and then watching a few of another and on and on. I am probably in the middle of 5 or 6 different series' and it's just not good. How do you watch, when you are doing DVDs? Do you have one series that you focus on or are you watching multiple DVD series' at once?
This is series 7 however it's made up of 30 episodes, so we've had three terms instead of the usual two.
I tend to stick with one show at a time, although there are times where I feel I have over loaded on a show, so I do take breaks. Take Battlestar, I watched the seasons but did not go for the 'TV' movie that followed, instead I started Farscape which I know is 4 seasons with a 'TV' movie that followed a few years later. My plan is to continue with Farscape but stop before the movie and go back to Battlestar. I feel this way I get the best enjoyment as it gives me something to look forward to when I reach a series finale.
I am also following Once Upon A Time and Homeland as they are both on their first seasons.
The next big show I plan to do is Revenge, I'm just waiting for the full season to finish before I start so I can watch it back to back.
I do have an habit of checking out many pilot episodes, just to get a feel of the show with the intention of starting those when I have saved up for the full season.
Like you when you're reading, I feel a sense of completion and kinda sad that I'm saying goodbye to some incredible characters that I have fallen in love with.
You will love Revenge Ome. I can't wait for you to get to see it. I think I will probably purchase both Homeland and Once Upon A Time when they come out on DVD. I love Claire Danes.

His last airdate is actually this Friday April 5. I am getting quite anxious about how the writers are going to write him out. I still can't tell if he is getting a happy ending or not. The possibility is there but who knows . . . The ED writers love to torture Aaron. It's going to be so disappointing if he doesn't get a happy ending.
This is what I think is going to happen:
I think Aaron is going to be forced to leave Emmerdale and the country when he takes the blame for the fire that Adam started. But . . . that would be ok, if he flees the country with his new boyfriend who is moving to France. If he doesn't end up in France with his boyfriend, I am going to be seriously pissed.
You must let me know how Aaron's exit goes, I know how much you have invested in his story and for that alone I hope he gets the right exit.
Thanks, Ome. It's silly of me to be so worried about how a soap character is going to be written out, but as you've said I've invested a lot in this character and his emotional journey. There has been some major, major character growth for Aaron in the past few months, which has been very satisfying--so if nothing else I have that. I definitely will let you know how it all plays out. You can bet that next Saturday morning I will be on here either cheering Aaron's happy ending or cursing the Emmerdale writers. Either way, Friday will be my last episode of ED since I have only ever watched to follow Aaron's story.

I don't think it's silly, we all follow our favourite shows because we love the characters so much and we care deeply what happens to our them. Aaron's journey has been very tragic so it's only natural the fans would like to see him get that happy ending, it helps people move on to the next chapter in the soap.
Eastenders is a popular show and I've watched it over the years, but it thrives on destroying characters, so much that I stopped watching. For me they have the balance wrong, however I'm in a minority because it still pulls in the viewers.
