Who else could Have Played Jenna?

It seems as if Priscilla Presley takes it to the chin alot for her portrayal of
Jenna Wade .Granted her acting was not always stellar but she was ok when the writing for the character was at least descent which of course was rare.I thought her portrayal in season 7 DVD's were good but after that the character went downhill fast.My personal favorite Jenna was FRancine Tacker her take on Jenna was somewhat more realistic where as Morgan Fairchild and Priscilla Presley seemed cartoonish and poorly written.I felt Francine was not brought back because though attractive she was a lil plain jane at the same time. That being said what other actress that was active in the eighties would have made A good Jenna Wade?

I actually liked Morgan the best. Her version of Jenna was the most conniving. I would have liked to have seen them bring her back, if possible.

I liked Morgan Fairchild as the first Jenna. The second Jenna's acting was ok, but I found her very unattractive, almost mannish. PP was a bit wooden at times, but ok, the script and storyline were not very good in her defense. I just don't think she ever clicked with Ray & they never seemed right together.

Before I read it I thougth on Jaclyn Smith too.

But on the 3 actresses played Jenna I like Morgan (her bitchy) most.

Why didn't they bring Morgan Fairchild back as Jenna? I too thought she played the character very well. Was she doing something else at the time? Did TPTB not want her? Was she not interested?

I would have stuck with Morgan Fairchild if it had been up to me. I really liked her bitchy, lay it on the line approach to playing Jenna. She wasn't coy and she didn't play hard to get. She wanted Bobby, and made no bones about it. I liked her directness, even if Jenna was less than admirable.

Priscilla, on the other hand, played hard to get in season 6. She constantly pushed Bobby away because she was afraid of getting hurt, but I don't think Morgan's Jenna would have gotten hurt that easily. She would have taken advantage of the fact that Bobby was now divorced from Pam, and she would have made her move. I think she would have been more wild and spontaneous, and a lot more entertaining to watch.

I also think she would have had some explosive scenes with Katherine, who was developing an obsession with Bobby around this time. Can you imagine the sparks that would fly if the two Morgans were going at it? I think it would have been great.

I remember Fairchild in a 1983 interview saying that her mother "almost fainted" when she saw how much money Lorimar had offered her to return to DALLAS, but that she herself "knew on instinct" it would be the wrong move for her.

Well, sometimes actors' "instinct" is just some of that bad Ramtha punch kickin' in, because within 2 years, Morgan was doing FALCON CREST in a thankless, molestational victim role.

That said, I think Chris Atkins might've made a nice Jenna.
