I've had an idea this week regarding Season 2 of Knots Landing on DVD. I'm going to email Five's Customer Service, asking them if they have the rights to Knots Landing. I'll add by requesting that if they intend to buy the rights, to get the uncut versions of all the episodes as well (show the cut version in the daytime and show the uncut version late at night), don't squash the end credits up, and have no voiceover at the start and end. Plus include the teaser at the start as well.
If you have a recordable DVD player it would be very useful. You could record the episodes on disc, and as (if Warner Brothers change their mind) Warner Brothers release season 2 and beyond (uncut) on DVD you can delete the episodes you've recorded as they're made available on DVD.

Sorry I didn't post the response from Five. They said they have no plans to show Knots Landing. A very blunt reply! So it's down to UK TV Gold to show it. I have emailed them but the response after I filled in my query on the form on the UK TV Gold website was strange. I didn't get a message saying "thank you for your email".

I'm beginning to get paranoid about all of this; is there NO ONE anywhere who is able to produce the DVD's of Knots, save for bootleg copies?
I refuse to believe that ridiculous shows such as WB is putting out on dvd would sell more copies than our beloved Knots which lasted 14 seasons, ding ding ding WARNER BROTHERS. Wake up and smell the coffee!! PLEASE.......
