OLTL has been at it's best the past few days. Marcy and Michael's son being revealed as Todd's kidnapped son and Spencer's killer being revealed are storylines that have been building for many months, so you decided to watch at the perfect time.

I've been watching as well in anticipation for the new headwriter. I don't think he'll be the godsend OLTL needs, but I think it'll be an improvement. A big problem for me is how the cast suffered especially under Higley. Seeing Kevin, Joey, Max and Cord back reminded me of how great the leading men on OLTL were. I'd like any combination of those four, plus Cassie (Dorian's daughter), Tina (Viki and Todd's sister) and Kelly.
To make room I'd dump Marty, Cole, Langston, Markko, Vincent, Layla, John, Miles and the incoming character by Farah Fath. They need to stop with all this mediocre talent and get back to what OLTL is really about which is excellent acting and writing.

Speaking of Cassie, I think her being revealed as Spencer's killer would have been more interesting than Lindsay. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love Lindsay but Cassie would have opened more doors for future storylines and returning OLTL to what it used to be like.

Marcie needs to go. Sick of her screaming at everyone.

I have no reason to hate Marcie, but the actress (or maybe the role) does have something very hate-inducing on her. Although, I would not want to loose her, because she's the only soap character I know that is more than 5 pounds, and I simply love her for that!

I hear lots of Marcie hate around the net, but she's actually my favorite character on the show, behind Nora. I think Kathy Brier is an excellent actress who gives very nuanced performances. She's had some blah writing, but she's risen above it.
If I were writing the show I'd give her a more hip and youthful job. Putting her with the teens ages her. She's still a young woman and if she leaves Michael, I want her playing the field! I just know she's going to rock the Tommy reveal.
I won't see this weeks episodes until the weekend marathon so nothing new to add unfortunately. Another unpopular opinion: I like Lindsay as Spencer's killer! It ties into her history with Jen and Marcie which is always nice. I didn't want it to be a minor character. Plus, it should be easy to get her off and keep her on the canvas.

Perhaps I should see her in something more serious before I make my final decision (
, it sounds so formal).
I also love the fact that a major character is the killer and I absolutely love the actress who plays Lindsay! I think she is my favourite character, of a long list of women I can love on this show: Vicky, Lindsay, Marcie (after I see her in something more serious), Nora, Blair.... As for Dorian... uh, the jury's still out on that one!
Also, I DO think that it would be easy to get her out of going to jail. Worse murders have been forgiven on soaps.

I absolutely love Marice. Other times, I she annoys me to no end. I fast forward a lot of her scenes because she is given repetitive dialogue of her complaining and judging. It gets old. But Kathy Brier is a terrific actress and when this whole Tommy-is-Todd's storyline gets out in the open, she's going to be great and I'll remember why I like her.
JROG, Dorian's great. She's such a memorable character. Gotta love 'er.

SPOILERS ON TODAY'S OLTL:
Oh my God, I was completely blown away by Lindsay's scenes today!
The confession, the flashbacks, the background music, the motives and, of course, Catherine Hickland's wonderful, WONDERFUL perfomance!
This is Emmy material (for Hickland at least) and Hickland is definitely my favorite actress on the show!

It was a very good episode -- and initially I thought it should be submitted for the Emmys, but as I think about it, it shouldn't.
Catherine didn't have many tears. Tears would have made her scenes BRILLIANT.
I can't figure out if the story makes sense. When did Rex discover Tommy was Todd's son? I thought it was after Spencer was murdered.
And why would Lindsay have gone into Blair's room to murder Spencer??
And would Lindsay have already known that Marcie couldn't have children?
And why was Lindsay's hair in the flashback to when she overheard Rex and Michael the exact same as her hair during the present hearing?

Nathaniel Marston (Michael) Charged with Assault!
http://www.eonline.com/news/article/...c2&entry=index
Llanview's loss may be Rikers' gain.
One Life to Live star Nathaniel Marston was charged with four felony counts Monday—second-degree assault, menacing, reckless endangerment and resisting arrest—stemming from a weekend brawl in New York that left one man hospitalized and a police officer injured.
According to a criminal complaint filed in Manhattan Criminal Court, the 32-year-old soap hunk attacked three men by swinging a metal crate at them just after 4:30 a.m. Sunday in midtown Manhattan.
It's unclear what prompted the fight, though one of his alleged victims, Salvatore Cabibbo, told the New York Daily News Marston hopped out of a taxi, began arguing with the driver and then, "crazed," began shouting, "I'm going to get you" and ran toward Cabibbo with the crate.
Marston told the New York Post, however, that cops arrested the wrong guy.
"I was attacked by three people," he told the paper, adding that he "was mistakenly taken into custody as the attacker."
The complaint alleges Marston whacked one man on the hand, hit another in the back of the neck, causing bruising and swelling, and sent a third man to the hospital with a broken leg.
When cops arrived, per the report, Marston began flailing his arms, kicking out at officers and refusing to be handcuffed. One officer received medical treatment for a cut hand and bruised knee.
Per the Daily News, cops said Marston, a former amateur boxer, appeared to be under the influence of narcotics when they were called to the scene.
Following the incident, Marston was taken directly to Bellevue Hospital, where he was treated for various cuts and bruises before his Monday arraignment. Judge John Cataldo allowed the actor to be released without bail.
His employers may not let him off so easily.
"We're aware of the incident and are reviewing its details," said Lauri Hogan, a spokeswoman for ABC.
Working against Marston is the Disney-owned network's strict morals clause in its daytime actors' contracts, something that has felled more than one favorite in the past—All My Children's Michael Nader, for one.
Marson isn't a stranger to New York's finest. Back in 1999, he was arrested for punching out an ATM. He was working on CBS' As the World Turns at the time. He joined One Life to Live in 2001 as Al Holden, only to be abruptly fired two years later. However, the actor proved so popular masses of fans were able to petition the network and gain his return. He rejoined the show in 2004 as Dr. Michael McBain.
He's due back in court on Feb. 4.

What an idiot! And I actually had this cute, quiet mental image of him, because of his character
Will he be dismissed again? I think it's almost certain, this time!

It sounds like his character is nothing like him! I doubt Disney is going to put up with stuff like this -- but they did put up with Lindsay Lohan, but she was making them a lot more money that some soap star who can be easily recast.
Honestly, I wouldn't be that sad to see Michael go. I never liked how they fixed the Al situation, so it would be nice if somehow Gabrielle had to return and say "I'm sorry but the real Michael is returning to your body" or something
