Sue Ellen was now eight months pregnant, and with only a few fights J.R and her were doing very well. Sue Ellen was tossing and turning all night long. The baby was kicking her everytime she tried to close her eyes.

"Oww..."Sue Ellen put her hand over her belly. The pain was increasing, "J.R..." she tried to wake him up by shaking him lightly.."...wake up darlin...please.." she shook him harder, "RIGHT NOW!!"

When he didn't respond she went down to the kitchen. Maybe it was just hunger pains, she thought.

In the kitchen, the pain was getting worse. "Sue ellen, are you okay?" asked Bobby, seeing her hold her belly
"No...I'm in pain. Oh Bobby, I know it's early but can you drive me to the hospital?"
Bobby looked at his watch that read 2:00 am, "Of course...do you need anything?"
"No.please..hurry" Bobby grabbed her hand and put her in his car.

As they drove to the hospital Bobby tried to keep her mind off the pain. "So, do you have a named picked out?" he asked, driving as quick and careful as possible.
"Yes." she tried to breath, "We like a few: Laura, Michelle." she put her hand on her stomach, "I like Suzanna-Lynn though"
"Oh, that's very pretty!" Bobby tried to tell her jokes.
"Stop it..I'm gonna pee my pants" Sue Ellen couldn't control her laughter. "You're not as handsome as J.R, but you're a lot funnier..don't tell him that though"
"What? He's handsome?"
"Yes..And you Bobby Ewing are handsome too..BUT my husband is just better" she laughed
"Fine..but I AM funnier and nicer!"
"Oh no..you don't get nicer!" Sue Ellen playfully hit him.

They arrived at the hospital and checked Sue Ellen in...Bobby waited in the waiting room until the doctor called him in.

"Mr. Ewing?" Dr. Danielson asked
"Yes..I'm Mr. Ewing."
"Your wife is in labour" he said, "she's putting on a gown now"
"Are you serious..oh my! I got to phone J.R..oh, Dr. Danielson, I'm not her husband I'm her brother in law, by the way"

Meanwhile at Southfork, J.R had awoken the whole family when he couldn't find Sue Ellen. Pam was also nervous when Bobby was no where to be seen either.
"You don't think they went out?" Clayton asked, standing in the foyer in a robe.
"Hell no. It's 3:30 in the morning..where the hell would they go together?" J.R was pacing up and down in the living room with a glass of bourbon in his hand
"J.R, don't think the worse, okay" Miss Ellie said trying to calm down her son.

Just then the phone rang. All four of them jumped for it.
"Hello" Pamela answered
"Hi Pam..listen, wake J.R up and tell him Sue Ellen is in the hospital"
Pam interuppted before he finished, "Hospital? Is she sick?"
J.R took the phone from her, "Bob? Is that you?"
"Yes..Sue Ellen is going into labour. The doctor just told me...hurry up and get down here"
J.R slammed the phone down, "Sue Ellen is in labour...Pam, grab the kids and put them in your car..Mama, you and Clayton can come with me..Hurry!!"

J.R got his keys from his room and raced to his car with Miss Ellie and Clayton following behind .

"Breath in and out Mrs. Ewing...."said the nurses
"Where's my husband?!" she screamed at Bobby. He held her hand.."he's coming..I just phoned the family"
"Mrs. Ewing...they're might not be time. Your daughter is on her way"

Update

Sue Ellen could not believe this, The baby was over a month early and JR was not there to be with her.
"B...Bobby"
"Yes Sue Ellen."
"Will you stay with me, if JR doesn’t get here in time."
"Of course Sue Ellen, I wont leave your side unless JR is here."
"Thank you Bobby"
Sue Ellen began to cry worried that JR would not make it on time.
JR sped all the way to the hospital. scaring Clayton and Miss Ellie. they had to keep telling him to slow down. As soon as JR got to the hospital he ran right in, not even waiting for Miss Ellie and Clayton. He ran right up to the desk and demanded to know where Sue Ellen was.
"My Wife is in labor What room is she in"
"What’s your wife's...."
"Sue Ellen......Sue Ellen Ewing"
"She is in room 121"
"Thank you" He replied as he was halfway down the hall already
Sue Ellen was having a contraction when JR walked into the room. Bobby was the first to notice him and Smiled. JR quickly walked over to the side of the bed and kissed Sue Ellen on the cheek.
"Oh JR, I didn’t think you were going to make it" Sue Ellen smiled
"Why didn’t you wake me silly?" JR asked as he kissed her cheek again
"I didn’t know that I was in labor JR " Sue Ellen giggled " and I tried to wake you when I just thought I was hungry, but you were sleeping like the dead."
"Well im just glad that Bobby was downstairs and able to take you to the hospital"
"Me too, thank you Bobby"
"Yeah thanks for looking out for Sue Ellen."
"Your welcome guys, I think ill leave you alone now, Ill be in the waiting room"
Bobby left the room and JR sat in the chair by Sue Ellen's bed.
"So have we picked a name yet?" JR asked
"You know that we have it down....Owww..." Sue Ellen stopped talking to take a few deep breaths
"We have it down to what?"
"Three names, But my favorite out of the three was Suzanna-Lynn"
"That was my favorite of the three names also" JR smiled
"So then that’s the name" Sue Ellen asked with a small smile
"Well I think so sugar, but lets wait and see if she looks like a Suzanna."
"How much longer do you think its going to be?"
"I don’t know Sue Ellen, you were in labor for a long time with the twins."
"JR.....I think the baby is coming NOW."

The doctor rushed over and told her to push. Sue Ellen screamed in pain as J.R held her hand...
"Okay, one more push, she's almost out" the doctor said. Sue Ellen gave a good push and out came their daughter.

The nurses cleaned her off and handed her to Sue Ellen and J.R. Sue Ellen had tears in her eyes as she cradled her baby.
"Oh J.R, she looks exactly like a Suzanna."
J.R stroked her hair, "I think so too darlin" he bent down and kissed her. Sue Ellen passed him their baby

The doctor informed the worried family that Sue Ellen had a healthy and happy baby girl.

The family rushed into see her. Bobby and Pam were each holding a twin, and John Ross followed behind Miss Ellie.
"This is Suzanna-Lynn Ewing" said J.R, giving the baby to Miss Ellie to hold.
"Sue Ellen, she's so beautiful. She looks exactly like you" Clayton said beaming.
The baby had dark brown hair like Sue Ellen's, and green eyes. The baby, so far, looked nothing like Dusty.

"Thank you Clayton" Miss Ellie passed her granddaughter to Bobby.
"Hi..I'm your uncle Bobby...we love you so much" he let out a tear. He wanted a baby more than anything. His nieces and nephews were the closest he had to kids.

The next day Sue Ellen was released from the hospital. J.R carried the baby inside Southfork. Until they got her nursery ready, J.R set up a crib in their bedroom.

Sue Ellen was exhausted and went down to get a drink for herself. She poured herself some milk, and drank it in the dining room. She couldn't believe that she now had four young children. She was very content with her life at the moment.
She put her glass in the sink and walked back up to her bedroom. From the hallway, she could hear J.R talking to Suzanna-Lynn.

"Hi Angel, you know, you look exactly like your mama. That is a good thing, she's very pretty. She's the prettiest woman in Texas. Now, I might not be your birth dad but i love you like you are my own. And as far as I'm concerned you are mine. You have a great family here, and three wonderful siblings. You know" J.R said laughing, as he placed the baby on his chest, "the best thing I ever did was...well, you're too young to hear that"
Sue Ellen walked in just at that moment, "what was the best thing you ever did?" she asked
"Well, besides marrying you...killing her father"
"J.R! That's horrible!!!" Sue Ellen said, "and you will never ever tell her that!"
"I know..i know...hey, why did you come in? You were ruining a good father\daughter moment" he laughed, throwing a pillow at her
"You two make a beautiful picture" Sue Ellen said smiling. She loved seeing J.R like this.

The next morning, J.R brought Suzanna to Ewing Oil, along with Andrew, John Ross and Lizzy.
"Oh she's beautiful J.R..she looks exactly like you, Sue Ellen" said Sly, holding her. "You're very lucky"

Megan walked in and her face lit up when she saw the children, "Oh J.R, congratulations! I heard it on the news this morning"
"Thank you Megan..." J.R said grabbing Sue Ellen's hand, "this is my wife Sue Ellen Ewing"
Sue Ellen shook her hand, "it's so nice to meet you. J.R has told me a lot about you" Sue Ellen said smiling
"And I about you. He told me you were the prettiest women in Texas, and he was right"
Sue Ellen blushed, "Well, thank you. I don't feel pretty now though...I need to lose about 20 pounds"
"You don't look like you just gave birth..you're so thin"
"Thank you!!! That's what I tell her Megan. You know, Sue Ellen eats nothing..."
"That's enough J.R. Megan, here, does not need to know about my eating habits" Sue Ellen took Megan aside, as J.R took the kids into his office.
"Megan, thank you so much for picking out that bracelet for me" Sue Ellen said, holding onto her hand
"No problem..J.R, had no idea which one to get you. We were going to leave the store with both of them! You have a great husband there"
"Thank you...he's very special..and outside of business he's actually nice" she laughed
"I bet you're a great wife...I wish you two so much happiness"
"Megan, thank you. And I heard you're engaged" Sue Ellen said, noticing the ring on her finger
"Yeah...I just hope I'm half as happy as you two"
"Sue Ellen, come in here!..Suzanna is holding John Ross' hand" J.R shouted from the door
"Bye..." Sue Ellen said, "It was a pleasure meeting you..."
"You too Sue Ellen. I'd love to get to know you more"
"I'd like that"

Sue Ellen walked into his office and saw the four of them sitting on the floor playing. Sue Ellen wished she had a camera. A tear fell down her cheek
"Mama! crying!" Lizzy said
"No no..they're happy tears" Sue Ellen bent down and knelt beside J.R and kissed him. "Thank you for everything"
"..and thank you for Suzanna. I couldn't ask for anything more" J.R kissed her back.

........... Everyone sang at Suzanna's First Birthday party. Time had really flown by. John Ross was now 9 years old, and Elizabeth and Andrew were 5. Sue Ellen and JR had never been happier. They had a perfect family, The kind of family Sue Ellen had dreamed of when she met JR back in 1967.
"Sue Ellen, I think that Suzanna needs to be changed."
"Then why don’t you change her?" Sue Ellen replied then laughed at the face JR made.
"Sue Ellen please." JR started to pout
"Oh don’t pout, ill change her"
Sue Ellen got Suzanna out of her highchair and headed upstairs.
"Mama, wait for me, Sarah needs to be changed too" Lizzy called running after her holding her babydoll
Sue Ellen and Elizabeth walked up stairs together. and into JR and Sue Ellen's room where Suzanna's stuff was. Elizabeth sat on the bed and Started to change her doll while Sue Ellen changed Suzanna who was laughing. JR walked into the room.
"So how are my girls doing?"
"Just fine." Sue Ellen replied making an awful face.
JR just laughed, causing Sue Ellen to glare at him.
"You keep laughing and ill throw this diaper at you."
"You wouldn't dare."
"Care to try me? " Sue Ellen asked as she sat Suzanna in the bed next to Lizzy.
"Not really" JR laughed again
Sue Ellen started laughing "That’s because you know ill do it, So what are you doing up here anyways?"
"Well your son's are wanting to tear into that birthday cake so I thought I better come get you."
"Elizabeth"
"Yes Mama?"
"Go down stairs and tell Grandma that she can give you each a piece of cake"
Elizabeth’s face lite up as she climbed off the bed and ran towards the door
"Young lady how many times do I have to tell you not to run." JR said as he scooped her up.
"Im sorry Daddy" Elizabeth managed to say in between laughs
JR put Elizabeth down and she walked out of the room. Sue Ellen was now sitting on the bed playing with Suzanna. She still looked just like Sue Ellen the only thing she got from Dusty was his curly hair. JR walked over to the bed and sat down.
"Can you believe she is already a year old?" he asked
"I know, time really fly's by doesn’t it"
JR pulled Sue Ellen close to him and kissed her forehead.
"You know im so glad that I found out you were having my twins. All them years ago"
"So am I, look at the wonderful five years we have had together."
"Thank you so much Sue Ellen"
"For what"
"Everything"
"Im so glad we had this second chance." Sue Ellen replied as she snuggled in close to him, now holding a sleeping Suzanna.
"So am I Darling....So am I"
