Default Doctor Who - possible spoilers (from Corrie to TARDIS)

This is the Who spoiler thread. Well its also to discuss possible spoilers.....

    I have some.

    1. Thelma Barlow will appear soon as Mrs Frost or something. A baddie dressed in black.

    2. The Master may not appear played by whatshisface from Life on Mars. He may play a younger William Hartnell

    3. Martha may be killed off at the end of this season or turn into something evil. But its thought she wont be around for the next series.

This one sounds interesting, I don't think any assistant has ever been killed off have they ?

Was he the one with Peter davidson ? I can't remember, although it is coming back to me.

Such a long time since those days. Wasn't he also on the dark side, working for the Master ?

The guy who played Adric once shared a house/apartment with James From London I believe.

Not to bothered about Martha being killed of or what ever at the end of this run. She is ok but there seems to be something missing with her relationship with the dr. They just don't seem to gel properly not like say Sarah-Jane or even rose. (cant put my finger on it though). Still as long as the great DT stays.

Kylie should stick to singing, nobody has forgotten the horrors of Street Figter with Jean Claude Van Damme yet. Girl can't act, end of.

    Tom Baker/Peter Davison

Many found Adric an evil creation.

Turlough (also with Davison) was on the dark side, working for the Black Guardian
Laura: That guy came here last night and told you your father is dying. Now, no matter how much you hate him, he is your father and he is dying.
Sumner: And not a moment too soon.
Laura: You know, I almost feel sorry for the old man.
    Sumner: You didn't know him.
Laura: All he wanted was for you to love him. Is that so terrible?
    Sumner: Yes.

Adric was killed off with great effect in " EarthShock" one of the finest and most atmospheric Who outings ever. Beryl Reid was in it as a drunken old Captain of a Freighter ( well maybe she wasnt drunk but the subtext was there ...)... It's a brilliant story , probably the best Cybermen since Tomb , it's a must see if you haven't seen it.... It's also joyous because Adric is hurled into the earth at 1000 thousand miles an hour.

That's worth paying the money for anyday...

I thought it was right to have Sci Fi merged with this forum but now I think it was a mistake as all the things I want to talk about are lost.

Plus JR piece is such an expert I have so many questions to ask and theories to explore

Glad you like the Pam pic

    SPLAT!!!
They still brought him back for a cameo appearance in the very next story!...and he did another cameo as part of the Peter Davison/Colin Baker regeneration.

That regeneration was the best they've ever done .. it's violent , emotional and beautifully epic, the use of Adric and co was really really effective .
Peter Davison's beloved Doctor asking " Is this death ?" is unforgettably haunting. Colin Baker is brilliant in his first 5 seconds as the Doctor , he went downhill from there....

Timeflight - yeah Adric returned for a brief moment in the next story " Timeflight" , it was cool to have him back so soon because of the context , it wasn't really Adric it was temptation to distract Tegan and so soon after they lost him it felt right ...... Tegan's apparent exit at the end of that story was wonderful.

I applaud the Davison years , they were very creative , hit and miss but new Who owes it's tone to producer John Nathan Turners input.
