Dallas filming location - Smith Landing bridge in Los Colinas

A lot of people (like me) are interested in visiting Dallas filming locations. In "Deception," April and JR are walking through Los Colinas at Smith Landing bridge over the canal.

Thank you Sam, I'll have to go there next time I'm in town.

I was staying very near here when I visited and didn't realise this location was so close. Doh!

I'm just now watching "The Two Mrs. Ewings," and I see that Cliff and Tammy Miller took their boat ride at the same filming location.

The location also appears in the Season 10 episode, 'Brothers And Sons' with Bobby And April and a scene in Season 6 (WB7) with Bobby and Holly.

Nice area, but the retail is mostly gone

I went by Smith Landing bridge last night. A very quaint area that was probably hopping in the late 80s or early 90s, but it's somewhat dead now. There was one restaurant/bar and a photographer shop (several young marrieds getting their pix taken in the quaint area, along with one wannabe getting a "glamour" shot), but that was about it. Still, the area is fun to walk through and I recommend a visit. The boats are no longer running through the canal--at least not this time of year--they could be gone for good, I don't know for sure.

    Default Las Colinas

Found this old thread regarding Smith Landing Bridge in Las Colinas and thought I'd post my pictures of the area. Well worth a visit although very quiet compared to when Bobby + Holly walked through the area in S7.

Yes I visited there in December very quaint - also near the Mustangs of Los Colinas , which I believe was featured in a early episode of Dallas also.
I didnt know it appeared in Season 11s "Brothers and Sons" which we can check out in a few weeks - saw it featured in Season 6 with Bobby/ Hot Holly
