Default What was Pams best season?

I love "every" Season she appears in besides Season 9 and I appreciate the changes in her character which although alot dont like especially after Season 1 I found her progression natural. My fave season of Pam is probaly Season 7 as she is strong, independant and at the same time vulnerable. I like ALL Pams Season 7 storylines from her search for Mark Graisen to her and Bobbys passion rekindling to her joining Cliff & Jamie in the fight for Ewing Oil. I think Pam progressed in the same direction into Season 8 but by Season 9 she become practically untolerable.

Loved her in season 1, I couldn't stand her at all when she was an annoying whine in Season 2-4, Liked her when she was away from Bobby (VP's acting improved in Season 6) same with S7 and 8, She was OK in S9.

Overall Best Pam Season - Season 6.

No, she whined on about having a baby, The Barnes/Ewing Fued and finding her mother in the early years, now that was really annoying.

I really wanted Mini Series-Season 1 Pamela back not this crying clone of an excuse.

Regarding her mother wasn't she entitled to become a bit hysterical though? she thought she was dead her whole life then she suddenly shows up and has to leave again. If she did whine because of that I can totally see why. I also understood her annoyance at Bobby when he was in control at Ewing Oil and barely noticed her as when the shoe was on the other foot he whined just as much.

I loved the Mini Series version of Pam. I think the character that was introduced to the viewers was hotter and stronger than at any other time. She met her challenges head on and handled them like an adult.

I loved Pam all through out her time on the show....but for me her best season was the mini-series and season 1....before the writers drastically changed her from a strong woman to a weak, baby-obsessing nut.

The Pam from season 1 would NEVER have contemplated jumping off a building. The writers went too far by making her suicidal.

The best Pam was the one from seasons 6-8, but there really was never a time that I didn't like the character

    AMEN!!!

I liked Pam in Season 1/Miniseries, where she really seemed like a normal working-class, self-reliant girl. And looked like one too, with more natural hairstyles, wearing jeans, didn't wear mascara to sleep in, etc.

It's amazing how quickly marrying into money changed her look! Maybe ol' Cliffy had a point about how she'd "become a Ewing."

I loved Pam from day 1 until she sadly hit the truck, but I loved her in mini and one and sereis 8 if i have to choose, she was strong, took no crap and in 8 was independent of the Ewings

VP herself said she preferred Pam in the earlier days as she had "a little more fire"

I think she just naturally outgrew jeans and cowgirl clothes, she got a more sophisticated style and I personally loved when her hair got that red tinge hehe

Pam was a very wishy washy character in a lot of ways. I mean there were stretches where she was a really weak "oh no wah wah" kind of character and there were times where she was written very strong. I think to those that don't really like the character that much she's remembered as being an overly emotional train wreck.

Anywho I think she was written best in the Dream Season and the season thereafter.

Mini series: strong, independent woman and my fave female character, at that point.
I think the never-ending "I can't have a baby, I'm going nuts!" - dilemma really ruined the character.
