    Default Re-Enjoying BUFFY, season 6

I decided to skip the second half of season 5 for now.
    1. I am just not in the mood for watching "The Body" and all this depressing stuff and 2. I have seen the second half more often then the first half and I need to balance this out for future viewings.

    BARGAINING
    Awesome two parter opening.
Since I do not have much time, only one comment for now:
Why did they bury Buffy in this terrible outfit?

I wish I had skipped "The Body", too, Christine, I watched it last week and it was as hard to watch as the first time around. I really have a hard time with that one, because it strikes too close to home.
I watched "Bargaining" today, great opener, even better than the first time around. I find this with a lot of episodes, amazing, isn't it, considering that the show was already superb

At long last Ive finally seen "Once More, With Feeling" and wow its great fun!

Very surprised at how well some of the cast sung especially, Amber Benson she has a great voice as does James Marsters. And I'll never forget the hilarious rock-chick number from Anya about bunnies!

Very funny singing cameos from Marti Noxon & David Fury.

Also loved Buffy's line "Dawn's in trouble. Must be Tuesday" and of course the gang, epecially Willow, finding out through song that they brought Buffy back from heaven. Priceless.

Yeah, aren't they singing about dry cleaning?

I want to thank Canon for his very accurate appraisal of my singing, I am in a band after all, mate.
Once More With Feeling is probably the best thing I have ever seen on TV. I listen to the CD a lot too.
That is Joss Whedon's genius. In one of the commentaries producer Gareth Davies says Joss wanted to do a musical of Buffy for a long time, and one day Joss gave him cassettes, a libereto and a script. Davies said he was unsure of doing something like a Buffy musical but after listening to the music and reading the script he was sold. Joss and his wife did all the singing on the tapes. If you get the CD, you get to hear Joss' piano playing which is competent and his wife singing and she can sing real well.
I love all the songs from OMWF. Including the lovely Marti Noxon singing "I've had such a bad, bad day can't you please put that pad away. Why can't you let it go! It isn't right, it isn't fair, I think that hydrant wasn't there. Hey, I'm not wearing underwear."

Finally got to the end of S6 last night and wow what hard work watching this Season was. It was like watching 22 omnibus editions of Eastenders only with better writing, better acting and well defined characters.

Buffy & Spike was all dirty & wrong, I still dont know what to make of it just that Im glad I wasnt eating during those scenes.

Have to comment on the trio, painfully unfunny & annoying but I love the fact that you cant take them serious but yet they nearly bring about the end of the world. Also love that out of all the vampires, demons etc that Buffy has had to fight over the years Warren & Andrew are the most vile and they're human!

Very heavy, serious Season but I cant deny how great it was until the end. Tara's death was an absolute let down, they obviously werent going for sentiment with this death as I felt nothing even though I loved the character this Season, she was one of the wonderful things about the Buffyverse - the positive character growths!

Willow going bad didnt work for me at all, just smacks of Whedon's lazy writing through out the Buffyverse. Turning favorite characters bad was what he did and it became incredibly lame and tiresome. Turn Willow bad - turn Buffy into a bad girl - turn Angel bad - turn Cordy bad (though technically she didnt) - turn Xander into a prick - turn Wesley into an asshole.

The upside of yet another Buffyverse character going bad is that I just know that next Season will be a great one for Willow as she comes to terms with everything shes done. They wont sell out with this character, there will be no comatose state for Willow with everybody seemingly forgetting all about her and whats shes just been through.
