Yes, Fallon was Blake's mother's name.
-
Maybe originally, but it was retconned to Ellen Lucy Carrington. It was mentioned repeatedly in seasons six and seven and even seen on her gravestone.

Yes, but it was never mentioned that Fallon was named after her mother's relatives. Besides, Fallon is a surname "abused" as a Christian name, so Blakes mother's maiden name still can be Fallon.

I don't recall stating she HAD been named after her mother's relatives. If you're referring to the middle name, I amended that in another post that the middle names came from Juidth Moose. And I guess I should further state that there is no authorized documentation to support that, but comes from her "findings".

No, I'm not referring to the middle name.

Maybe it's all the gravestone's fault! Maybe the people responsible for that stone got the order over the phone and misstook "Fallon" for "Ellen".
Then La Shapiro said "Oh holy shit, look at that! Ellen!!! Who the f*ck is Ellen?! We're out of budget and have to bring 30 eps this year, we can't order another gravestone. Ok, who cares, the stone says Ellen, so it's Ellen. Who cares? RICHARD!!! WHERE THE HELL ARE MY CIGARETTS???"
hm..? could be..

Why didn't you just quote it then instead of dancing around the subject Yorick? An error on my part. But as I said in the foreward, "Occasionally, compromises had to be made due to continuity errors by the producers and writers." Since it was retconned that Blake's mother was Ellen and not Fallon, maybe his daughter was named after her maternal grandmother instead.

Was it I who suggested she was born Ellen Lucy Fallon, or something like that?

Perhaps Blake and Ben had different mothers, Fallon was Blake's mother who died when he was very young. Ellen was Tom's second wife and Ben's mother. Blake would have still been very young and considered Ellen as much his mother as Fallon was.
Didn't Alexis and Caress come to the U.S. to be in Francesca's wedding to Philip? Wasn't that where Alexis met Cecil?

Oh, and how I was to forget you when you "originated" cold coffee like that? On purpose, I guess.

As usual, your weird slams are just.... weird.
But did Ellen's tombtone read "Ellen Lucy Fallon" ?
I'm likely confused, but I only ask because Jason made this post at one point:

O.K., here we are again, so it's the jester's duty to drop a curtsy to the [s]king[/s] queen of weirdness.
> But did Ellen's tombtone read "Ellen Lucy Fallon" ?
After being married to Tom Carrington and given birth to two Carringtons, Ellen's tombstone could hardly read her maiden name "Fallon", but her married name "Carrington" instead. Am I talking Greek? What's so difficult to understand about the maiden surname "Fallon"?
O.K., I'm slightly aware of that little confusion about names in GOD's OWN COUNTRY, where girls could be named like boys ("Robin", "(Eu)Gene" etc.), and boys like morons ("Sunshine" or "Doorknob", who cares?)

So you have your lucid moments sometimes. Congratulations. Don't forget your medication.

"Again"? Gee, I dont know. I think your first post to me in a couple of years being an instant insult-for-no-reason appears to constitute superlative weirdness.

Your point about the tombstone reading "Carrington" makes perfect sense; of course it would... But why would I have a "difficult" time understanding the surname "Fallon" when you just insulted me in your previous post for my suggesting that I'd suggested it?? Obviously, then, I wouldn't have a problem with it, whether I actually suggested it, or just thought I did.

So you're admitting I was right and that I didn't steal the idea after all... So what were you insulting me about?

Are all your posts riddled with nothing but ego and malice?
And by the way, isn't "medication" primarily for people who have ceased to make sense? That would appear to be you, but perhaps not.

The point about deserting this forum was to get rid of f****g morons like you (never wrestle with a swine, the swine gets all the fun, and you just get dirty), so instead of having another pointless conversation with you, I rather read one more brilliant season-two-analysis by James From London.
Goodbye, and good night.

You got me there, Yorick. I have no idea what you're talking about.

Goodbye and goodnight.
I'm not sure how your "deserting this forum" was supposed to get rid of me.
Furthermore, a review of our last few posts will indicate who may qualify as the "f***ing moron", as you can't seem to get your free-association insults straight.
And the "swine" here is just who exactly?
Regarding your having a "pointless conversation with (me)", I'll agree it's pointless, but let me point out once more that you initiated the insults, as per usual. It was unnecessary but par for the course.
And now you suddenly appreciate James' posts?? I seem to recall your insulting him rather freely at one point as well. I can assure you that your attempts to schmooz him will likely be ineffective. He's no dodo... And yes, his post are, in fact, brilliant. You might like them even better if you actually read them.

Ah, that's what I love about Thanksgiving -- families coming together, talking about old times, sharing memories ... and insults.
May I add this from the preface to this thread: Feel free to contribute. I titled this thread "project" because as I later pointed out in the introduction from the now defunct Dynasty Archives ...
http://www.soapchat.net/showpost.php...0&postcount=38
A lot of this IS speculation because Dynasty flip-flopped on so many facts. Dynasty had potential, but it makes you wonder just who they were writing for. Did they think viewers have the attention span of a brick?
Don't know where this animosity is coming from. However, there are times I don't know what you're saying. See ... http://www.soapchat.net/showthread.php?t=120601&highlight=fi

Crap. Someone take the smilie out!
Anyway, calm down dude. You've published a whole list of these inconsistencies before. All I did was post an "assumption" based on trying to piece people, places, quotes, and events. You make me feel I left out the "umption".
Now where's DCR so we can have a REAL family reunion. Nothing like a catfight to work off those extra calories form yesterday!

Wow! That must have took some time to do, Jason!
Can't wait to read it properly when I have more time.
Thanks for sharing!
