Who is your favourite Golden Girl?
Dorothy (Beatrice Arthur)
Rose (Betty White)
Blanche (Rue McClanahan)
Sophia (Estelle Getty)

Who is your favourite Golden Girl?

Dorothy. She was hilarious. One of her signature glares and I was in stitches.
Sophia (Estelle Getty)

Very hard to say because I like all of them so much. But the one who made me laugh the most is Dorothy.

Dorothy and her one-liners.![]()
I never found Estelle Getty very funny; Betty White was funnier as nasty Sue Anne on "The Mary Tyler Moore Show".
I preferred Bea Arthur and Rue Mac on "Maude"--- I found that hysterically funny, but found the "Golden Girls" a bit 80s-era stiff.

I love them all but Dorothy wins by a gray hair.

Love them all and having a hard time choosing between Sophia and Rose.

I have chosen Dorothy in a previous poll but now, after watching the dvd's, I must say Rue McClanahan did a very good job too and besides that I'm a sucker for that Southern accent.
Sophia was my least favourite, in fact I could have done without her.
From "Joust between friends" (when Blanche got Dorothy a job at the museum):
Dorothy:"Hello, Blanche"
Blanche: "Eat dirt and die, trash!"
I love them all! But Rose was soo funny!
Wow, tough question. They all were unique and the show needed all 4 for it to work, as we found out with "The Golden Palace".
I'd have to say Dorothy, just barely over Rose. Rose's St. Oloaf stories were priceless and Dorothy's reaction to them and other things (either with comments or just stares) were too funny.
Funnier than ANY show of the 1990's or since !!!!!!!!
yeah all 4 were great and the show needed all of them.
1 Sophia
2 Rose

Keep Voting!
For me it's a toss between Sophia and Dorothy whose scenes together "MA!" always made me laugh. I think all the girls are unique though and it is a tremendous show.![]()
