Knots Landing mentioned in this week's Star magazine
In the new STAR magazine there is a huge article about the new Dallas movie. The article is mainly about Jessica Simpson and her huge desire to play Pamela, and her even bigger desire for Brad Pitt to play Bobby. But Charlene Tilton and several hollywood agents said she is too young for the part and not a good enough actress. But Jessica is determined and she has been in love with Brad Pitt all her life and is dying to work with him on this. The article ends with the following line.............."Most insiders say Jessica has no chance of getting the part. So will Jessica ever get to work oppisite Brad in some trashy, steamy love scenes? Well maybe if a remake of Knots Landing is next".
It is the October 17 edition of STAR with Jessica Simpson on the cover. The artice starts on page 15.

Victoria Principle is Meryl Streep compared to Jessica Simpson. Although it would make people appreciate Victoria more, it will SINK that movie. I think "Knots Landing" would be harder to make into a movie than any of the 4 soaps. I don't think is do-able in a 2 hour frame. Plus, they are making a "Dallas" a comedy. I can't imagine what it will turn out as.

Thanks for the post! But, honestly, I don't really know how I feel about the prospect of Jessica Simpson playing the role of Pamela...
But, who knows? She HAS got good looks and --I pray NOT-- that may be the reason they choose her for this movie... Plus, Jessica Simpson and BRAD PITT would be an interesting match to see....

If anything, Jessica would only work for Lucy. BTW Ection, where did you hear it was a comedy? I haven't heard that one at all.

How can Jessica Simpson play Pamela, she is blonde and Pamela is dark.
CZJ is the best Pamela, I think if the film is to be authentic, then we have to have some characters between the film actors and the originals.

Too young for Pam, too old for Lucy. It's time for the Simpson sisters to go away. They're boring.

I agree, the Simpson sisters should not be involved, even though the film is supposed to be a parody of the series like the Brady Bunch movies. I hate how so many movies these days are making fun of all our old favorites, they need to just leave them alone!

It is? I thought I read somewhere that it would not be a comedy-like parody of the original.
I don't mean to sound negative, but in my opinion this movie will flop. "Dukes of Hazzard" flopped. Nearly every TV show turned big screen movie has flopped in recent years with the exception of the first "Charlie's Angels" movie. It doesn't matter how popular the original series was or what stars they bring aboard for the movie. Big names no longer bring in big bucks. It's like observing another Hollywood disaster in the making. I'm saying "I told you so" in advance. The company should use the money and put out some new "Dallas" TV movies with the original stars. Smaller budget, bigger profit.

Wow. I can't even recall that one. It must really have been a pile of crap.
I've seen Linsday Lohan's name brought up for Lucy. I was looking at a magazine today and she, too, looks way old even though I she's not. Hard living, I guess.
Seriously, they should make some "Dallas" TV movies instead (and they can visit "Knots Landing" in the TV movies. Just like old times.
