Victoria/Pam's Worst Season(s)

When the will for Jock Ewing was read to her reconciliation with Bobby - Pam/Victoria's hair was AWFUL during this time.

It was very RED, very DRY and had no style to it as she was growing it longer, it looked a mess. Like below.





and then we had the new look which was much better and then her hair got much much better throughout the dream season until the end.

I suppose that ole' poodle perm sort of fried her hair. Otherwise, her hair was beautiful!

I agree with Houston, Pam's poodle perm was ghastly! Every time I saw her with it....oh the horror!

Thank goodness she straightened her hair out again quickly after.

Weren't Pam and Bobby having problems during her poodle perm days? Yeah, I think that's when he was running Ewing Oil and that schank Alex Ward was around. Maybe Bobby couldn't stand to look at her with that hair and figured he'd rather work.

I wonder what Alex Ward was thinking persuing Pam when she had that awful hair style? And why did Miss Ellie have the nerve to say she liked it?! What were those two thinking??!!!

And on a side note, during that time Victoria had just met Andy Gibb, when she wore that hairstyle. I've seen pictures of them at some celebrity function and her hair was in the poodle perm then. What was it about that poodle perm of Pam/Victoria's that had the men persuing her, because it definitely didn't flatter her, IMO.

Personally I think Pam's hair was at its best right at the beginning and then from the dream season on when she had the longer bob which eventually grew out even longer. I hate her hairstyle in that second picture when it was short although that's not as bad as the style immediately before that round about the time when she was getting ready to marry Mark Graison. It was in a slightly longer version of that short cut but was bright red and to me seemed to scream out Trailer Trash. I think this was towards the end of the 1983/84 season (although I'd have to check my tapes to verify this) and what I find even more astounding is that Sue Ellen's hair actually looked better than Pam's at this stage when she had grown her shag/mullet out into a sort of jawlength bob with short layers.
