Kristens Death Still A Mystery....

Does Anyone know if they eevr go into any further depth/discovery on her death, or they just let it drop? It didn't make sense to me that she'd come back high on drugs (even if she was with that loser Jeff Faraday) or what JR was hiding, because he was hiding something. It would be fun if somehow that came back on JR......then Sue Ellen could really have a good beef with him!

It will be forever debated whether or not J.R. played a hand in Kristin's death...certainly the circumstances were suspicious, J.R. was standing on the balcony while Kristin laid dead in the pool when Cliff found her body...but whether or not J.R. actually did kill Kristin will be a mystery forever.

I don't think JR did it. Bad as he is, I don't think he's capable of murder, or even manslaughter, for that matter.

That was one of the strangest "dropped" cliffhangers- they did the same thing after Sue Ellen shot JR twice after he threw her lover off the balconey. You expected major things and it just sort of all went away after two episodes.

Well when that guardian angel showed up, wouldn't he have mentioned or at least implied, that J.R. had more to do with Kristin's death than anyone knew?
All he said was Kristin surely regretted having getting involved with J.R. in the longrun, but that was all.

I dunno if it was wrought iron or wood, but I think she ran up against it from a distance...

The biggest descrepancy about this is not the railing, but how she jumped off the balcony into the pool, which was several feet out beyond the patio (maybe she REALLY COULD fly - just not very far)...

And coming up in the next couple of weeks, we will see JR and John Ross ACTUALLY JUMP INTO THE POOL the way Kristin supposedly did...

Ok I always felt the major reason the writer never dealth with Krisitin's death was because Jim Davis death being written in the show.....( he died during the hiatus after season 3.....in summer of 81) ! The writers were well aware of Jim Davis illness and probably had a plan for it buty since he died and out of respect for the acter made the character what he was ( and possibly his wife) they decided not to recast! This was a good idea seeing as how Dallas wasnt good at recast! Because of his death 3 major storylines were sort of just wrapped up and dimissed to easily......Krisitin's death, JR and Sue Ellen battle for John Ross, and Pam suddent recovery from depression after conviently getting a child.......all had much depth had potential yet the writers seemed to want to rush every thing on to make room for writing Jock out.......( or so it seemed at the time) I remember reading one of James from Londons posts where he stated that Dallas seemed to run in episode blocks that were broken into 3 parts the first being the resolving of the cliffhanger which was Kristin's death then from there we had 2 storylines to keep us going........JR and Sue Ellen battle with JR fighting the Farlows to release to him her and his son and Pam extreme depression/suicide over her childhood and inability to have children...both wrapped up intime for the final block which was a at the ewing Barbeque which left a revelation that will propel the rest of the show's final action for that season. Dont get me wrong maybe this particuliar season they werent trying to do it so much like that but if they were it was to be an example of what out line to expect in seasons 5,6,7,9, & 10! I always thought that they could have re open the case in season 10 after the revelation of Lisa Alden's true reasoning for being in Dallas( being she was Christopher's natural aunt ......Jeff Ferraday's blood sister) coming to sue Bobby for custody of her nephew! The show could have went further than that ! After having his ass beat down in the pool JR resorted to try and get rid of Lisa , but couldnt yet after it was all over she just gave in to Bobby seeing Chris was happy with his father she let that case go! They could have possibly came up with a storyline that shows Sheriff Washburn making a cameo appearnace in an assylum of some sort and ( obviously put there by JR) yeah we never knew any of this but it would have explain the brief conversation he had with JR after the trial ( and kristin's was just said to be on drugs and possibly took her self over therail) Washburn knew more about it and lead u to believe JR and him made some sort of an agreement to keep something covered! The sheriff could be found in a crazy house murmuring something about......HE Killed He Killed Her! I know its weird but Lisa Alden could have still been around and some how discovered this and extracted revenge on JR by making it public............and whether he actually pushed by force or just over the edge by telling her to jump would have given us a trial ( where the cliffhanger could have been JR going to jail or getting off which of course have been enough reason for Sue Ellen to have shot him at the end of the season! Perhaps they could have done a whole another who shot JR....where some one could have broken into his condo and shot him but we wouldnt have known who?

Just soemthing that would have spiced up season 10 more so.......
