Funny how Alexis smoked on camera on Dynasty for the whole run, think it helped her character.

I always fell into the trap when I was younger that if you played a part, you were like that part off screen too. I remember seeing the Dallas bloopers in late 1980s and was totally gobsmacked as BBG said Bleep!
I expected that off Larry, Patrick etc but not BBG!
I KNOW! I almost fell off the chair when I saw that clip for the first time. How shocked was I?? Sweet Little Miss Ellie...

Remember BBG came from the New york theatre scene of the 1950s..its was fill with rough and tumble young actors and actresses.

Actors seem to smoke more than regular people- especially those in the theatre, who spend a lot of time smokind outside, at least that is how it used to be.

There was probably some smoking in that party scene with Lucy when Bobby showed up and took her home.

Well, in this case, "Haggy" used to smoke cigs (before the series) and smokes weed to this day (and, BTW, up until his liver said "F this", he drank 5 bottles of champagne a day, everyday, morning to night, while shooting scenes, according to my friend, Rody Kent. You can tell in his eyes towards the mid-to-late 1980s and through the end. Why do you think the cats referred to his "motorhome" as the hippie van?

I suspect Granny Beaumont probably smoked the pipe.
