Don't like her either. I much prefer the actress who plays Chrissie.
I've never been impressed by Kim Medcalf or Danniella Westbrook.
I preferred Daniella Westbrook to Kim Medcalf to be honest.
Since Daniella left, the character of Sam hasn't been that great, and has just gone stale.
I think Kim is fantastic. She played sam very well IMO, much better than Daniella imo.

I've said this many a time to people who have asked the same question as you, but obviously I haven't made it clear to you as you wouldn't have asked me the question would you. I see the odd clips and glimpses of Eastenders from time to time, but when I say I don't watch it, what I specifically mean is, I don't sit there watching every single episode of Eastenders for the full 30 minutes. Good looks as'nt got anything to do with it but you got to admit she is better than Daniella Westbrook.
You do know why Daniella Westbrook got sack fron eastenders dont you, It was because of the drugs she was taking.

I much preferred Daniella Westbrook. She was perfectly cast as a beautiful, none too bright princess ("A diet mineral water, please") trapped in the sordid world of Walford with no option but to gnaw on her own arm. Kim Medcalf, on the other hand, was generic, bland and the most ridiculously unconvincing gangsterette since Claire Sweeney on BROOKSIDE. According to a friend of mine who has recently worked with Daniella, she can be a bit schizophrenic, but is lovely when she's not getting beaten up by her husband.

As a person (TV interviews) she seems a nice modest person
- as an actress she did a good job on EastEnders,
and must be well-regraded to be on stage currently

Kim medcald is a nice person. She did'nt same like a nasty person at all like some actors and actresses are.
Well, she could be Mother Teresa, but that doesn't make her a very interesting actress. I think she tries too hard. I remember when she did CELEBRITY FAME ACADEMY, her performances were technically very competent, but lacked any real emotion or passion. The exception was one night just before the end where she was clearly too tired to think, and her performance totally bypassed her intellect and came straight from her gut and she was suddenly really good. Then the next night she went back to thinking too much and became really boring again.
